Brilliant show however I paid full price for an under 20 year old and then read a poster which said they should be cheaper.

Went along slightly sceptical about any necessity to re-work this magical story that had enchanted me the first time my Dad read it to me - one chapter at a time - as a child. I thought I WAS Peter Pan and went to every performance I could and was entranced a new every single time. This time I took my granddaughter. I remained worried that that the self-evident top-up 'feminisation' might spoil it. After all, in spite of the centrality of 'the boy', the story is heavily female centric already, with Mrs. Darling, Wendy herself, Tinkerbell, and Tiger Lily all with central and overall positive roles. I should not have worried. The production was beautiful and the female role sub-plot introduced and executed with ambivalence, fun, and humour. In fact the adaptation overall, in spite of the introduction of potentially significantly intrusive elements, like the additional 'Tom' who died and was carried off, introduced and executed those elements so imaginatively, and was so replete with wit and interesting new insights, for example Hook's angst about aging - his own fear of 'growing up/old', and Smee's hidden love for his Captain, that it could not fail to bring us 'on board'. Other traditional elements were also wonderfully re-imagined, the anthropomorphised crocodile was a joy to see in action. The only area we thought slightly struck a 'bum note' was the over-childishness of Peter and the Lost Children's 'play'. It was too chaotic and 'silly' to ring true. Both my granddaughter and I remember out childhood make believe as being extremely 'serious’ and usually intensely organised and structured as our child minds re-envisaged our idealised version of the adult world. If you think of the part in the book where John becomes the 'doctor' and goes very serious, that's more like real 'child's play' that the wild and chaotic and slightly contrived "play" sequences. However, that is something of a minor quibble in a production that was overall a real enchantment and a proper dose of 'serious fun'. Our overall favourite had to be Hook! But my granddaughter remains very smitten with Daniel Krikler as Peter, and we both agreed that the Wendy character was a tough one and that Hannah Saxby did a great job, and we also both loved the performance of the Smitten Smee by Scott Karim.
Awesome and magical play! We've actually thought it is the same production as was in the National Theater earlier, but we weren't disappointed either way!
Spectacular show. Even with the two small technical errors during the second interval. It didn't ruin the evening and I'd highly recommend everyone , young and old to go and see this one. Awesome!
At my age (pensioner) I did not expect to be going to Peter Pan! So so glad I did, it is amazing. Highly recommend Thank you everyone involved Superb show
I had the most wonderful evening seeing this beautiful play! Amazing choreographies and great actors! I laughed and I cried and I wish I could see it again!
A very woke production. It changed from the original story by trying to get a political point across. The acting and production was good in the circumstances.
Excellent, amazing scenery! Really enjoyed the performance
The actors were superb , loved the idea of shadows . Dancing was so interesting. Sets beautiful and I loved the way the set was changed and moved by company . Flying magical , lighting artistic and just a perfect production for a perfect night out .
Incredible show- choreography, acting and set was phenomenal. The story is adapted slightly from the original, detailing loss, grief and female independence. All with a splash of fairy dust that we know from our childhood. I’d go and see it again in a heartbeat!
Excellent production—entire (huge) cast and props and sound were outstanding. Wendy and Captain Hook exceptional!
Really enjoyable production. Great props.
Amazing! Kids adored it! So did the grownups!
Absolutely loved it! Incredible show am going to book again to watch before it finishes! Thank you to the lovely lady who upgraded us too the stalls🥺
Great show, I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend.
I took my 7 & 8 year old grandchildren to this performance. We were all entranced. It was a beautiful version of the play with lots of energy and pathos.
This version of Peter Pan was outstanding for it staging, its charm, the excellent performances and the way it follows the original story with modern tweaks. The children were entranced and very engaged with the characters. The 9 year old boy felt sad for Hook . The 6 year old girl identified with Tiger Lily, ( she’s so pretty and tough). The adult loved the adult aimed fun and asides. Perfect!
Fantastic top quality production. Set amazing and kept everyone engaged throughout. Thoroughly recommended.
What a beautiful production. Moving and hilarious in equal measure; thought-provoking and brilliantly acted throughout. It is an absolute must see for all ages.
