No a watchdog but a lap dog

Completely useless they call them self TFL watchdog but there actually TFL lap dog I forwarded a case to them and rather than getting answers they gave me excuses and ignored 2/3 of my case and when i ask them if they have any ability to get answers out TFL or to hold them accountable when they did reply they basically admitted their completely useless

No Support for Passengers, Only for Train Operators

London TravelWatch was completely unhelpful. Despite presenting the facts and explaining that I made an honest mistake with no intent to avoid paying, they offered no meaningful assistance and simply sided with the train operator. It felt like my complaint wasn't properly considered at all.

An organisation that claims to represent passengers should challenge unfair decisions, not act as a rubber stamp for transport companies. Based on my experience, don't expect independent support, fairness, or a genuine review of your case.

False services, they work for TFL not you

Useless service. They work for TFL and will not help in any way. They provide no advice and will not take complaints against TFL, despite their advertising to do so. False advertising. Hope our tax funds are not funding this fraudulent service...likely it is.

Horrific company

Horrific company. As bad as it gets. Justify an existence by claiming to help. This help is funded by the taxpayer. They are no help at all but a hindrance. They are too close to TFL and do not hold them to account. They lie, gaslight and are abusive. If this company was not involved you could deal direct with TfL but they intervene and do an appalling job. Really I have no idea what their purpose is. A complete waste of space

Does Travelwatch Do Anything

Wish passengers had an organisation that worked for passengers and not just for themselves. It used to be that they employed volunteers to check bus timings and conditions. They don’t even overview and follow up complaints made to TFL. Lazy and ineffectual. Feels like they just collect the cash and do the absolute minimum.

Pointless

Would not assist with an issue where TFL buses keep hitting my car. I want to know what TFL are doing to prevent this happening continuously however TFL will not respond and LTW say this is not in their remit.

Great Service

Great Service - Always handles cases professionally and makes a success of it. It's a shame they are unable to intervene any longer due to government placing new rules. The government are clearly not on the side of the public but supporting SWR's dodgy service.

London travel ignorance as opposed to London travel watch !

Absolutely useless they claim to be on your side but side with IRCAS whose ticket inspectors are institutionally racist and illiterate plus ignorant
Tfl should be sent into administration
And changed completely a system similar to Berkshire travel like first busses and great western railways that’s the solution to these tycoons in the towers who rob us every time we travel with their company and give us financial problems nor are they willing to compensate one on the fairly it’s their way or the highway Avoid !

Don't bother wasting your time...

I wouldn't bother asking London Travelwatch to look into your complaint. They typically just cite the terms & conditions of the travel company in question and are generally intransigent when it comes to understanding more complicated matters.

I have asked London Travelwatch to investigate a couple of matters over the past few years and each time they have either declined to investigate or misunderstood the problem. I won't ask for their help again. They are useless.
