I purchased Lookeen first with v10 back in 2016. The product was OK but had lots of usability issues. I asked customer service for help, and the few times they actually responded, they told me all would be fixed in the new v12 version which I purchased in 2019. I installed v12 and I could literally find NO difference at all from the v10 I had been using. Despite messaging customer service through their official channels many times, I did not get a single reply. My assumption is that there was no functional upgrade, just a version number change with the opportunity to take cash from suckers like me. My warning to you potential buyers out there is to be very careful of the reviews you read. Many have only a couple of posts, all glowing about how great the new version is. I believe they are salting fake reviews and looking to get more sales based on an old product that they are not updating other than the version number.

This is a complement. Please feel free to post. I have been a loyal Lookeen user for over 10 years. This new 2025 version is a dream! My computer runs noticeably faster with and without Outlook open. It completely indexed my many large PSTs and OSTs plus file system in under 8 hours. Previously, I struggled with glitches and corrupted indexes in Lookeen 12 and previous versions, and eventually got it going each time with your patient help, but had to re-index often and that process took up to 3 weeks with my many PSTs. One computer hiccup during indexing and I had to do a clean install to start over. Problems solved!

Customer Service - they responded pretty quickly, and the product itself has always been solid.

Unfortunately, they didn't have an answer to my query. I had to reinstall several apps recently including Lookeen. Previously, it ran fine without sending certain types of notifications. But after the reinstall, it frequently sends a status notification in the lower right corner.

I mentioned this to customer service, and they weren't able to resolve it. Instead, they suggested that I go into Windows settings and shut off notifications.

I don't think this is an adequate answer, because it doesn't explain why the notifications are suddenly happening, when they weren't before.

However, this was an exception. Generally, Customer Service at Lookeen is prompt and helpful.

I started with Lookeen 3.n many years ago. It is a very helpful tool to find mails and files stored like a needle in a haystack.
Today I use the latest version of Lookeen (12.n) with Office 2021 and Windows 10.
Although the business mails are now organized with a database system, the boolean search input together with the fast response time makes Lookeen the first choice to get access to mails and files.
In the past years I experienced from time to time minor deviations, which were fixed quickly and competent by the Lookeen helpdesk.

Recommended as a Desktop Search program. The indexing process is very fast. The context menu, the system tray, and the outlook plug-in make searching super convenient. One problem is when we click a search result that is an Excel file in Read Only mode, the program always asks whether we want to save the file. The support team said that this problem would be solved in the next release.

The help desk sent suggestions to fix the problems I was having (caused by a MS update) which fixed the problem - even though it was not a Lookeen problem, but an Outlook problem.
I was also able to revert to desk top Lookeen so it did not have to wait for Outlook which lately has been unstable and needs to be restarted.

I usually find what I'm looking for. the Boolean search options are helpful and results come quick and clean
