accountability matters.

When customers have no real alternative, accountability matters.
I am sharing this because this is no longer about one isolated issue.
In Switzerland, access to many international betting platforms is restricted, meaning customers must rely on approved local operators.
That creates a responsibility.
Over recent months, I have experienced repeated problems trying to access betting markets for some of the biggest and most historic horse races in the world:
🐎 Grand National – Aintree
First run in 1839 and one of the most famous horse races globally.
🐎 1000 Guineas – Newmarket
One of Britain’s historic Classic races.
🐎 Epsom Derby – Epsom Downs
First run in 1780 and recognised worldwide.
These are not obscure events.
The frustrating part is not only the issue itself. Technology and operational problems can happen.
The bigger concern is the response afterwards.
When customers provide details and evidence, the answer should not simply be:
❌ Check your connection
❌ Try another browser
❌ Update your application
Especially when the issue appears across different platforms.
If a race is displayed, runners are shown, but odds or betting options are unavailable, customers deserve a clear explanation.
A regulated environment should come with a higher level of responsibility, transparency, and customer support.
Customers do not expect perfection.
But they do expect companies to listen, investigate properly, and take ownership.

Extremely disappointing service a disgrace towards the British Expats Living and working in Switzerland, whilst similar sports events in France are allowed to be gambled the British are not allowed to even place a bet on the world renowned Grand National. what a disgrace from Swiss Lotteries.

Once again 2026, it was impossible to place a bet on the Grand National at Aintree, one of the biggest events of the year. This seems to happen every single year, with no visible effort to fix the issue.

In Switzerland, we are already restricted by regulations and cannot freely use international betting platforms. That makes your service essential. Yet, at the exact moment it is most needed, it becomes either unavailable or unusable.

For such a predictable annual event, this is completely unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of preparation and consideration for customers.

Very frustrating experience. Seriously reconsidering using this service in the future.
