Total con - DO NOT PURCHASE!

I wish my friend had looked at these reviews before purchasing a £150 gift voucher from these cowboys as a wedding present. Thought we could go to Florence for our anniversary in October and saw 2 x Easyjet flights for £274 return. When enquiring with Love2shop holidays, and thinking I might only have to top up by £150 or so, their breakdown costs were £354 for flights, £51 for airline tax (this is not on Easyjet booking requirement) and £12 airline failure protection (again not on Easyjet booking). Total £417 (an additional £150) so absolutely pointless and a rip off!! - just buy direct from the travel agent or flight operator. Will now contact Trading Standards

Needs to be shut down!

My wife was presented with a Love2Shop holidays gift voucher for £500 from her company for her 25 years service, having to leave after a serious illness. To put this into perspective, I have had to leave work to look after my wife, only earning £80 per week Carer's Allowance and she is getting £80 a week Attendance Allowance plus her state pension.
I am not old enough for a pension. I wish her company had consulted Trust Pilot. I am not even going to phone Love2shopholidays, I JUST WANT THEM CLOSED DOWN !!!!!!
I have tried to book flights only, which they do not do. So we tried to book a B&B, yes that seems to work BUT you have to pay for the hotel on top of the B&B price. Well lets just pay for the hotel ????? you guessed it!!!
YOU ARE A CON ARTIST AND RUINING PEOPLES LIVES.
As a high profile customer, reported by the BBC, my wife as being The miracle grandmother. Easy to look up:- bbc miracle grandmother.
I will not let you get away with this, oh' and guess what? we have more time on our hands.

Absolutely Awful Company and Process

Absolutely awful company and process, hardly anything works that you look at, it’s a right faff and is so much more expensive than what you find and is advertised, there prices are so much higher that what is advertised online and what you can book, honestly the worst voucher you could ever buy.

DO NOT BUY HOLIDAY VOUCHER FROM THIS…

DO NOT BUY HOLIDAY VOUCHER FROM THIS COMPANY!! I agree with all previous reviews.

Incredibly difficult to use. Prices on this site are inflated compared to other sites like Booking.com. Offers on Comparison sites are not matched so better deals on those sites with more flexibility.

The website is awful. Checking out is not clear. You think the site has crashed or not recognised your card details only for the payment to be taken without any for of confirmation.

Stay clear of this company.

Spending this gift card was incredibly…

Spending this gift card was incredibly difficult. We attempted to book flights with EasyJet, but after excessive fees, our £200 gift card became practically useless. Booking requires calling their customer service, which is only available on weekdays and closes at 4:30 PM—completely inconvenient.

After much frustration, we finally managed to book a hotel, but only through their partnered companies. Even then, we had to pay an extra £100 for a one-night stay, only to later discover that booking directly with the hotel would have cost less than £210 for the same deal.

Overall, this was a disappointing experience. It’s poor value for money and unnecessarily complicated. Definitely not a recommended gift unless you want to inconvenience the recipient!

Wasting my time. No support.

Hi,

I wanted to book a hotel using the card. The price was good, as I founded the same from different supplier. It took me a while to try to understand if you need to activate your card (I activated, but not sure if it was needed), to understand what number to add an when I was finally ready to clear the cost from card and my own debit card, I had an error in the web page. So the money from the gift card has cleared out (0.00 to spend), but the holiday is not booked. You can only get support by phone, only certain hours a day, which are my working hours. What irritates me is that there is no email support and that nobody has contacted me back to say that the transaction was not finished. They just emptied my card.

Found exactly the same as the previous…

Found exactly the same as the previous reviewer. Gifted these cards as part of an employment reward scheme, hoped to use against a holiday. Flights alone are double the price of going to the carrier direct. I don't mind a small increase but doubling the cost is ridiculous.
The only saving grace is there is a decent amount of time to use the vouchers

So bad I created a trustpilot for them...

Didn't have a review page for this company, but felt I should create one to give some warning to anyone considering purchasing a gift card.

First of all, don't.

Reasons below:

1. They work with other travel companies, however you have to book on the website itself through love2shop holidays making it much more expensive than any of the suppliers.
2. I tried phoning to book flights separately perhaps making use of my gift card... wrong choice the £200 flight on easyjet came to £350 on love2shop Holiday. Giftcard then redundant.
3. I finally found a holiday that looked a reasonable(ish) price to use the gift card (the giftcard was £200). However after finding the same holiday on the suppliers website our £200 gift card was pointless, as the same holiday on the suppliers site was £250 cheaper.

Honestly I still have the gift card and have no idea what to use it on. I just feel for people who buy the gift cards in hope of helping out friends or families to afford a holiday only to have to go through this company.

First and only review on trustpilot as no company before has drove me this crazy with how bad value for money they are.
