So far, having used it in anger twice, I am very happy with this item. Sturdy, well made, easy to assemble and set up. Initially the x axis slide was a bit stiff, but a clean and a wipe over with an oil soaked cloth is easing it nicely. I’m sure that use will also bed the gib strip in. Time will tell its longevity. So far I would recommend this mortiser. Incidentally, I have bought Lumberjack items before, and have had no problems whatsoever.
