I'm really grateful for the opportunity Lumiere provided. As someone who had never been involved in high-level research, I found it to be an incredibly valuable experience. My mentor was really nice and helpful, and she guided me throughout my journey, even though I had some personal troubles that prevented me from scheduling regular meetings. Also, Lumiere provides aid for low-income students, so I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Doing a research with Lumiere is one of my life experience that I can't forget. It helped me to know my capacity and passion well. It pushed me more to my dream which I want to reach for the future. The people were so humble and open to any questions. It was an amazing experience that you face a new challenge every week which makes even stronger. All in all I really appreciate the company for helping me to have a good struggling and challenging experience that I can be proud of my self.

Sorry, I did not find the correct words to express how much my experience was great. As an international student living in a country with very limited opportunities and with a family in a very limited financial situation, Lumiere offers me the opportunity to do research and they cover all the expenses. I think these people are doing great things, and I hope to be part of it when I grow up.

My experience at Lumiere has definitely been one of the highlights of my high school career. Under the guidance of a mentor, writing coaches and publication experts, I aways had someone to turn to when I faced an obstacle while conducting my research and writing my paper. The support from all sides is what makes Lumiere such a special program. I would definitely recommend if for anyone who wishes to enhance their high school experience and gain more skills in research in an area of their interest!

My experience with Lumiere Education was truly outstanding, especially because of their flexibility and the support I received from the team. From day one, I felt that the program was tailored to fit our needs as students. Deadlines were always flexible, allowing us to progress in our research without feeling pressured or stressed.

One of the highlights for me was my relationship with my mentor. He was incredibly friendly and supportive, always willing to help with any question I had, even if it was outside the program's scope. Whenever I struggled to understand something in English, he would explain it in simpler terms or even write it down and read it slowly. This made a huge difference in how much I benefited from the experience.

Additionally, Lumiere offered us plenty of opportunities to connect with professionals and experts, which opened up new doors for me. Through guidance sessions on university admissions and other insightful sessions, I gained knowledge that would have been hard to access otherwise.

In short, Lumiere not only helped me achieve my dream of writing a high-quality research paper, but also equipped me with the knowledge and skills that will support my future academic journey.

Lumiere paired me up with a perfect mentor, who not only helped me with the rigourous research process, but also was extremely flexible with my tough routine and schedules. This provided me an oppurtunity to explore my interests deeply and to write a very well researched paper on the immunotherapy of cancer. Lumiere looked after my progress all the time, with multiple workshops, check-ins and the most useful the writting center, which enhanced the quality of my research paper.

The Lumiere Education Program was an invaluable experience for me because it provided hands-on exposure to the research process and allowed me to develop critical thinking and analytical skills. I learned how to formulate research questions, conduct thorough investigations, and effectively present my findings. By the end of the program, I had a research paper that I am truly proud of, reflecting the knowledge and skills I gained throughout the journey.

My experience with the Lumiere Research Program was amazing. What really stood out was the support and personalized guidance from my mentor. They were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in helping me succeed. It made such a difference to have someone who was always there to answer my questions, give feedback, and push me to think deeper.

The way the program was structured also made the experience great. I loved how the research method training sessions were practical and clear, giving me the skills I needed to work on my project confidently. Getting regular feedback was super helpful, and it felt like I was constantly learning and improving. Being able to explore my topic, the psychological effects of the Tigray and Amhara conflict, in a way that felt relevant and impactful was both challenging and rewarding.

Overall, Lumiere is doing a fantastic job creating a space where young researchers feel supported and inspired. The combination of mentorship, a well-designed curriculum, and a focus on real, world impact made the program truly unforgettable.

One thing that could make the Lumiere experience even better would be adding more chances for group collaboration or peer feedback. The one-on-one mentorship was amazing, but I think connecting with other students more such as through group discussions or workshops would make it feel more interactive and build a stronger sense of community.

Another idea is to offer more guidance on what comes next after finishing the research paper, especially when it comes to getting published. Maybe a session or workshop on the publication process would be super helpful, since it can be pretty overwhelming to figure out on your own.

I had a disappointing experience with this mentorship program. Despite expressing my interest in pursuing math research, my mentor assigned me coding tasks without having relevant coding expertise. Instead of providing direct guidance, they suggested I watch YouTube videos to learn. Given the substantial fee my parents paid, I expected structured support, but I was left largely to work independently. With minimal experience in coding and no assistance with debugging, I struggled to complete the project and ultimately couldn't finish it. This experience left me feeling frustrated and discouraged about coding altogether.

All the mentors and project managers were so helpful and outgoing which helped make our time together more friendly and enjoyable. The Lumiere program always made sure to provide us with resources and extra help such as writing coaches to create our projects making it flow easier. My mentor always made sure to explain anything i didn’t understand which really helped with the outcome of the paper.

My mentor has been so helpful throughout this entire process and has really made my Lumiere journey something I will never forget! She has been an inspiration, and has pushed me throughout the program to better my work and delve into my interests. In addition to this, the overwhelming support from the entire Lumiere team, the publication specialists and writing coaches have been just incredible in guiding me through these past few months. Writing a research paper during highschool, especially when starting out IB, can sound like an insurmountable task/challenge, but with Lumiere, it is almost like a breeze. The rapid responses, the kindness and the motivation this program has provided will help me in my greater academic journey, especially in my Extended Essay and at University. Thank you again! Great help to crafting my research paper and the other opportunities and resources such as the writing centers, college admissions assistance, and university credit really helped me determine what I wanted to do and pursue in the future.

The Lumiere Research Program allowed me to gain many new skills such as using coding to change qualitative data to quantitative data. It is a great program for those who want to learn how to conduct proper research. The process was efficient, effective, and easier with the help of my mentor.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Lumiere to write a research paper about my topic of interest (Particle Physics). I think this program was a wonderful experience, equipping me with essential skills required for writing a research paper, such as retrieving academic papers from databases specific to physics, synthesising their complex information, and understanding the formal academic style of writing.
Most of all, this program helped me with gaining more insights on particle physics and the quantum world, something that isn't discussed in detail at high school level.
Completing my research paper was a significant milestone, and the support from the program made it achievable. I appreciated the flexibility they offered and their understanding and encouragement that allowed me to refine my work effectively.
Lumiere has greatly enriched my academic journey, and I highly recommend it to students looking to deepen their research skills and exploring their favourite subject in more depth.

My Lumiere research experience was highly beneficial due to the expert mentorship I received and the focused nature of my project. Working closely with a Cambridge PhD holder provided invaluable guidance, allowing me to develop my research skills and tackle complex topics with confidence. My project, which explored the links between misophonia and ADHD, enabled me to dive deeply into a niche area, giving me a sense of ownership and refining my abilities in data analysis and critical thinking. The program’s balance of independence and structured feedback helped me stay on track while fostering my intellectual curiosity. This combination allowed me to address intricate problems and form evidence-based conclusions, particularly advocating for misophonia as a separate diagnostic category. Overall, my research not only provided insights into an under-researched topic but also gave me a deeply rewarding experience, making it a defining moment in my academic journey.

Lumiere was an opportunity to delve into what I am really interested in. The ability to explore topics of interest is something I value as a student, especially as a senior. With Lumiere, I was able to explore a career option I was keen on perusing (Economics) and applying it to research I have a personal connection to.Even though writing a research paper can be challenging first-hand, Lumiere was able to cater and help with any questions, factors affecting my research and help complete my research paper to the best of my ability. This rare experience not only made for an enjoyable research process of something I was genuinely connected to, but it helped academically; giving me a head-start in writing a university level research paper.

The Lumiere Education Research Program was a pivotal part of my academic journey. I learned a lot about research and produced a comparative study on waste management between two countries.

I finished writing my research paper just a month ago as part of the Lumiere program. Reflecting on the experience, I can confidently say that it was an incredible opportunity to push my academic boundaries. Through reading and analyzing rigorous research papers, I significantly deepened my knowledge in AI within a short period of time. There were moments during the program when I felt completely stuck, but with the invaluable guidance of my mentor, Mr. Utkarsh, I was able to overcome those challenges.

With the experience I’ve gained, I’m not only motivated to further refine my research skills but also to help others in my community explore the world of research.
