I placed 2 orders with Lundia USA. The first order is still missing 6 doors, even though I paid it in full. They have not given me any update about second order, which I placed more than 28 weeks ago and paid 50%. I sent them several emails, I called several times, they always tell me they will check and give me status update but then they don't give me any status update.

The team at Lundia was great to work with. I had a ton of questions, and they went through the back and forth to help me come up with solutions for two bedroom closets. I didn't choose Lundia for the customer service, though. I chose the company for its FSC-certified, solid wood products, and am happy that I did. The quality is great, and I feel good about being a more responsible consumer. Another like is that the packaging, the padding inside the shipping boxes, was mostly cardboard (no styrofoam, if I remember correctly). And both of the closet organizers I assembled myself! I chose the natural finish because biophilia is my thing--the appearance of natural materials like wood relaxes me. The shelves gets tons of compliments, too. Simple, clean, elegant, responsible for a fair price. Many wins! On my way to order Lundia shelf system for laundry room now...

Terrible communication, too many excuses why your shelving unit is taking 3 extra months longer than they Advertise! Parts and drawers not shipped together. If you call them to get an update, well, after you get through the attitude every time! you may get someone to respond to your concerns. When we finally received our order, the product is flimsy, no real quality in my opinion for the shelving units. Basic stuff. As a designer/builder I expect a better product and better communication for what these units cost! The company is not Lundia USA, it's Recom group. I do not recommend this company! Go to Ikea instead.

The Lundia products are superb quality American-made shelves using ethically harvested American lumber. Each shelf and component shows the distinctive individual nature of the wood from which it was cut. When you call customer service you reach friendly, knowledgeable actual human people, a rarity these days. I have ordered several units for my home library and I highly recommend Lundia. The wood develops a lovely patina with use and age.

I am so happy I found Lundia USA! I wanted wide shelves to display my son’s Lego creations and standard shelves wouldn’t work. The Lundia shelves are beautifully made and you can see the quality when you put the set together. It’s easy to assemble and makes such beautiful statement unlike simple metal or poor quality wood ones. I’m so pleased with my purchase!

We decided to use the Lundia closet system for our open floor plan, main bath remodel and are so glad we did. The units arrived in the expected time frame and were well packaged on a large pallet, with the individual boxes easily transported into the house. The installation instructions were clear, and the units are very straight/flat and fit together perfectly. Anyone that is reasonably handy should be able to assemble and get them plumb and secure without issues. We love the modular format and the flexibility of design- even after installation we made a few changes to our original plan and may get more shelves as we move in and see what we need. We combined black and white stained units, using closed-end pieces to provide a built-in look. Lundia was the perfect product for highly visible closet remodel. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend this product.

Do not trust this company. They sent a closet system full of lyctid beetles due to inadequately kiln-drying the wood. The beetles proceeded to infest our hardwood floors. Filed a claim with Lundia and they refused to take any responsibility claiming it was our pest control company who was at fault for not properly treating the hardwood floors. Do not recommend.

My partner and I created a very large and complicated closet design for our large walk-in closet. It consisted of 17 "segments" of closet system. Including open shelves, hanging clothing space, deep shelves with doors, 6 separate sets of drawers, and a dressing table. It was a joy to design our dream closet with the Lundia system and the vast majority of it went together exactly as intended. Because we were doing a few unique things, we did end up with a couple of bolts that were too short, but Lundia did a fabulous job of getting us the right pieces as soon as we told them of the issue. In one case I gave Lundia the wrong measurements for a drawer face and Lundia still replaced it with the right part at their cost. I've got another closet to do next year, and I'll be using Lundia again.

We found Lundia because we were looking for a non-toxic, all-wood system. We had never designed a closet before, and appreciated the help and guidance that was provided during the process. They made it very easy for us to custom design our space, and the whole process was made easy and simple. Our handyman assembled the closet for us. He is a retired contractor (and a perfectionist), and he was VERY impressed with the quality of the product and the ease of assembly. It looks beautiful and we are thrilled with the results!

Just installed our new closet system from Lundia and would like to share our experience. Our first contact was with Sales Associate Lynn, and honestly following our discussion with her is why we chose to move forward. No phone tree or bots, rather an actual person knowledgeable with both the product and design process and someone we felt had our interests at heart. Lynn was especially helpful with the design process.

As for the product, we absolutely needed solid wood and a low VOC finish, so Lundia fit that requirement perfectly. The actual quality of our closet surpassed my expectations, and we are thrilled with the results.

I also wanted to give kudos to the packaging and shipping department. The care in how our closet components were protectively packaged was second to none. I've never seen anything like it before. Our closet was shipped from southern California across the country and arrived at our home in southern Wisconsin without a single blemish or missing part.

I would conclude by saying that Lundia is an extremely well-run company with a superior product. Working with them to design and create our closet system was straightforward and easy. A heartfelt thankyou to the entire team.

Building out the dormers definitely opened things up in our remodel but closet space was going to be a challenge.

Problem solved with Lundia USA ! Awesome Oregon company using 100% real wood throughout with flexible design and layouts. Rob and the team were super responsive throughout the process and at a price point better than the other brands who rely on imported goods, veneers and formaldehyde based products.

Assembly was very smooth and brought back memories of Erector or Legos.

Still some final touches and adjustments to be made but wanted to pass along well deserved kudos to the team at Lundia.

We had a closet created when we redid our bathrooms. I looked all over and got quotes from different companies, but I really liked that these are used commercially and are both strong and look good. I didn't expect them to be so straight forward to assemble. I made some mistakes but once I figured it out it was pretty quick from there on. The closet components are extremely versatile and the instructions for assembling the drawers make that part a real winner. Lundia staff were more then helpful before, during, and after the project and that is both rare and appreciated.

I ordered closet shelving and rods for 5 closets in my new home. The components were incredibly well packaged on a shrink=wrapped pallet.
Although I used a contractor for the install, the process was very straightforward. All the parts fit together easily and the closets look fantastic. Had one small problem, but the phone support was great and resolved this.
My contractor and interior designer were very impressed with the quality. The contractor actually felt bad for his previous client, who had just put in closet systems from another provider, because the quality just didn't compare to Lundia's system.

I was a long time Container Store Skandia owner - I had a ton of it and loved it. Lundia USA claims to be the same stuff, just in US measurements. This claim is at best a gross exaggeration. I ordered three units for my new apartment and anxiously awaited their arrival. (I ordered everything in black.) Two of the three units went together fine, albeit with sloppy tolerances and poor fit and finish. Yes, it's all solid wood, but I'm not sure what species and it's certainly not very hard. The finish varies wildly, even on the same shelf, from almost glossy to grain so rough I'm afraid of getting a splinter. In places the wood color shows, not just the grain. It's like they spent about ten seconds with a piece of sandpaper and then slapped on some paint. My 12" deep bookcase that I got for my office has been a disaster. The first one they shipped, the uprights and shelves were so far out of spec that I couldn't assemble it at all. They were very responsive and apologetic and said they would send me a complete replacement, which is why they get two stars instead of one or none. The front office people are wonderful, responsive, patient, and they deserve to be representing a vastly better product than what their factory is shipping. The replacement unit arrived several weeks later with pieces missing. I called them, they followed up and sent the missing pieces (a couple of cross pieces, ALL of the hardware, and the instructions were among what they failed to send). Once we had everything for the replacement unit, we discovered one of the uprights is badly bowed/twisted and the bolts were a full 1/4" too short. Luckily we had saved the original pieces and were able to hack together one serviceable unit. But this entire experience is a nightmare of value engineering. This stuff may have at one time been comparable to Lundia, but what it looks like to me is that it's been value engineered into oblivion. Their manufacturing tolerances are sloppy. They don't test fit anything at the factory, so if your shelves are too long and your hardware is too short, you're going to have a hell of a time getting anything to go together. And worst of all, the replacement they sent me was barely better than the defective one they sent first. This product is not worth what it costs at all. IKEA makes a solid pine bookcase that would serve just as well for a fraction of the price. I take no joy in writing any of this -- I was the world's biggest fan of Skandia and I wanted to love this product. All I can say is apparently something has changed since the previous reviewers got their closet systems, and not for the better. Don't waste your money or your time.

EDIT 11/2/2025: I see Lundia has posted a defense of their "commitment to quality" - which is great and everything, but it doesn't make it OK my experience was so atrocious. They mention upgrades to the wood -- I wonder if they also upgraded the metal, which was inferior to Skandia's design in every way, with rough-cut, sharp edges and cheap metal bolts, some of which were too short. I wonder if they upgraded their finish process to deal with the wild variations in color and texture across every shelf. I wonder if they test-assemble your unit in their factory to make sure it will actually go together, before they ship it to you and make it your problem.

Yes, the upgrades they mentioned were absolutely necessary. I wouldn't assume they are sufficient.

The closet is solid wood, excellent quality. I provided Lundia my walk-in closet measurements and they created a design. It took several iterations as we went through the design process and they were very patient and responsive. The delivery time was typical for semi-custom furniture and the actual delivery time was very close to their initial estimate. I installed the system myself and the instructions were excellent and it was extremelky simple to put together. I'm pretty hand and I have read many instruction manuals and put together many different products. You could tell that they put an emphasis on designing a product that is simple to install elegant in design. I had some questions after I installed the product and they were very helpful in making sure I was completely satisfied. Don't use those retail or franchise closet companies that charge you a fortune and deliver particle board that falls apart in a couple years.

Lundia will take your money and not deliver any product. Poor communication as well. Avoid this ccompany.

Everything we needed arrived well packaged, undamaged and relatively easy to assemble. The finished product totally exceeded our expectations.
