I bought my own fabric and shipped it to them, so I can't testify to the quality of their fabric, but their craftsmanship was great. The reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 5 was because they made a couple changes without asking me first.

They made the belt out of sequins instead of the fabric I had requested, and I had to get it replaced, which cost me over $100.

They made the slit in the center of the skirt instead of the side, which they said was because it fit the design better, but I wish they would have asked me first.

Lastly, it was a corset back and they made it exactly to my measurements, which meant that it didn't compress my waist at all, so I had to get it taken in. I should have told them the waist measurement I wanted with it fully tightened.

The dress itself wasn't very expensive at all, but I paid $360 in alterations, so that warranted 2/5 stars.

I never confirmed the lace my designer Tansy used for my dress. I had many concerns and told her the pattern looked way too tiny. She went ahead and made the dress with it anyway. A week later I asked to see how it was coming along because I was still concerned about the pattern and I was told to wait until it was finished.

I finally see the dress and am INCREDIBLY disappointed.
It looks nothing the original photo! I spent a lot of money, never received the dress, and was never given a full refund!

If you didn't have the correct products or materials to create a passable replica of the dress, then you shouldn't have taken on the task.

My prom was ruined, I had no dress having trusted their designer.

I rejected the final product and told them to keep it but the photos they sent me when it was done look very cheap. The spaces between the lace are way too large and dark. It looks like large squares of brown skin showing through. The bottom/train of the dress is very flat and lacks the volume seen in the original.

Responses took very long and they had poor pushy customer service.

*** They wouldn't respond to me when I was worried about my dress but one bad review and they respond in minutes! Unbelievable!! Is this what your designers are doing? Doing damage control??

You are shown confirmation photos before your custom dress is shipped but be warned that the photos I was shown were VERY different from the original design and incredibly misleading.

I was not told what dramatic deviations from the original design would be made AT ALL. The changes were only apparent after the order was accepted and the dress was already completed. By this point I could only receive a 40% refund. This leads me to believe they are happy to accept and shoddily attempt any custom design regardless of what they are actually capable of.

The changes and functional issues were not obvious until the dress was delivered and tried on. The dress itself was too large and made to fit a generic mannequin, despite the measurements they requested/I sent in. The material is a cheap stretch fabric. The sleeves were an entirely different design that was nothing like that of the inspiration dress. The skirt of the dress moves and collects incredibly awkwardly (it looks like I'm smuggling a deflated bike tire in the hem of the skirt). When the dress is worn, within just a few minutes of walking, the top stretches, rolls, and pulls down exposing the top half of my body.

These issues were not obvious from a posed photo on a still mannequin and make the dress completely non-functional as a dress.

According to their response to my review:
"If we make the dress wrong, we always guarantee to provide full refund or make a modification before shipping."

Apparently, making a dress "wrong" does not include making a dress too large or using design changes the customer was never notified of or agreed to.

They claim their stretch fabric is not cheap.
That's fair. I do not know how much they paid for it. But I can tell you that it looks and feels very very cheap.
It is so stretchy and thin and unforgiving that the outline of any undergarments worn underneath will show through. (This despite discussing corset options with my designers. I suppose they assumed I just wanted everyone who saw me to know what bustier I was wearing.)
It is so stretchy and thin that the horse hair hem they added to the skirt of the dress moves around my feet like the deflated bike tire I mentioned above.
It is so stretchy and thin that the sleeves pull the collar of the bodice down when I move - stretching and rolling under its own weight until the entire front top of my body is exposed.
But I'm sure they are paying a lot for this "quality" material.

Very high ratings considering the customers continually mention misleading final product photos, incorrect sizing, and design changes they were not notified of or did not agree to!

When I got my dress I was absolutely stumped how exactly the same product they made for with little customization that I wanted as to perfect amount. The material is so nice, each and every bead/pearl on the dress gives you feeling of hands with patience in it, very smooth and neat work. I didn't expect anything but excellency during the process of my ordering and making, I felt so much in ease, all the measurements fit me like I was standing infront of their eyes and settled super correctly on each part of my skin.

Honestly, this is the first time that I write a review and I am doing it because Lunss has provided me an excellent service, especially Tansy.
At first, I was hesitant about ordering a dress online but after talking to Tansy and telling her my ideas for a dress, I felt more confident about it since she was so thorough and professional. Long story short, I ordered my dress during Black Friday Weekend and although the production time was supposed to be around 35 days, my dress was done in less time than that. The confirmation pictures looked amazing and my dress was even more astonishing. The only issue that I had was during the shipping part since the status of the dress wasn´t updating. I told Tansy about this issue and she inquired with the shipping company that apparently said they never received the dress. I WAS DEVASTATED, but Tansy offered to re-make a new dress for free. Although it really wasn´t the company´s fault that my dress got lost, and besides the fact that they didn´t have the responsibility of re-making a new one, they still did it which was the highlight of my experience with Lunss. I received my ¨lost¨ dress today in my mailbox and I couldn´t be happier with it since it wasn´t expensive at all and the quality is great. So far I have received a lot of compliments from my friends whom I have shown pictures of the dress.

I ordered a custom made dress, supplied all measurements and photos, when i recieved the dress it had been poorly made in the sleeve detail, certainly not the clean crisp look i was after (and nothing like the photos agreed on), and the arm hole was 9 cm too small (not the size sent to Lunss) so i could not even wear the dress.
Recieved just before Christmas, due to them being closed over Xmas i did not contact them until early this year, now they are saying i should have contacted them by 3 days after reciept, so they will not accept it as a issue.
VERY VERY disappointed, and it is unacceptable they will not correct their error.

Poor customer service

so I ordered a dress to be a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding. The wedding is in March, so I ordered in November. The dress arrived thanksgiving day, but it arrived with no packing slip and none of the tags said anything other than the store's name.

As soon as I got the package open I tried it on but it wouldn't zip up. and it wasn't just a little too small, I had 7 inches of gap in the back. There was no way I was going to get this dress to zip or to get a tailor to make it wearable. They would need to add a whole panel of fabric to it and after everything, color matching and all that it would never look right.

I let my mother try on the dress, just in case I was going a bit crazy. I wear and ordered a size 14, my mother is a size 8/ the dress was tight on her, but it zipped.

So I emailed about getting the next size up, very nicely that hey, I think the wrong dress came to me, (because even the color didn't match the bride's swatch that she had gotten about a month ago) but all I got back was that yes, they had sent the right dress and to please send them photos of my measurements to verify the mistakes with the dress.

So I did, in my bra and panties I stood in my bathroom and took close up photos of the measuring tape, twisting the tape a bit to get a straight on photo of the numbers...

The email I got back was that I wasn't measuring in the right spot and I needed to get the measurements done by a seamstress. So once again I headed to the bathroom, in a full length mirror, taking almost naked photos of myself measuring myself and being careful not to move the tape for the photos, I send what some countries would call porn to a dress maker over the internet. ( mind you the dress is still the wrong color)

I am worried I may have to buy a whole new dress, still in the wrong color and even if I do, the dress will also come and be the wrong size. If that's the case I will be out over $300 for clothes I can't even wear. This dress was not customized, I ordered a size 14, just a size 14, no additions, no alterations... nothing. So why is it so hard to get the dress sent back and get a different one?

My adventure with Lunss has been a great one and I must say that I am overwhelmed with the outcome of the wedding dress design we requested for my fiancee. We initially did not have much confidence and we were skeptical about online customization since we have never done this before and it was our first time.

Nancy was able to help us with our dream wedding dress and promised to get us the same design we showed her. The communication and time spent on getting the right measurements paid off with the final dress coming out in style.

It was all a red letter day when we received the dress and was overjoyed with it as it rightly fitted her. Thank you so much Nancy and your team at Lunss. We are very excited about the dress and your service.

Overall, I got an AMAZING wedding dress from Lunss. It was a complicated design, and not a direct copy of something already in existence, so they were up against a lot. I don't regret a thing.

First off, you can only message/chat with someone about your dress three times. After the 3rd message they make you pay $12. I paid my 12 dollars and once I sent a new message and paid I did not hear back from Nancy who was the one who was supposed to be working on my dress. Also the only time she answered me was about payment and not anything about my dress which as a very simple dress. Tancy the other lady is much better to work with. If you get Nancy helping you I recommend you try for someone new.

The dress wasn’t at all what I wanted. The back buttons broke throughout my prom night. Cost me over $300 for a prom dress I didn’t even like. I regret going here.

I ordered my senior ball dress from Lunss and honestly could not have been happier, it was made exactly like the Sherri Hill dress I wanted but did not want to pay for, and it cost about half what the original dress did. Excellent craftsmanship and it fit me perfectly (other than having to get it hemmed) and there were even pockets! I’d recommend this site to literally any person who needs a good prom dress but doesn’t want to pay top dollar for it.

I loved my custom dress. I ordered it about a month or 2 before my reunion and hoped it would be here on time. It was and it fit perfectly. I got compliments all night. Even from people who I showed picture too

I 100% recommend Lunss to anyone! If you get the correct measurements for your body the dress will fix perfectly. They communicate with you through the complete process. I had my wedding dress made from Lunss and everyone loved it! It was all just perfect!

Lunss was amazing, although I ordered on such short notice, they were still able to make my dress and send it to me with time to still make minor alterations. The color was accurate as well and the whole desgin. Would definitely order from here again!!

I ordered my dress 1 month before prom. It came in time. The material was pretty good quality. It was a bit longer than I wanted. But the only thing I didn't like was the messaging between the company and I. Their time zone is different so I would have to wait hours for a response.

Loved my dress custom designed by Lunss! It fit perfectly and I received so many compliments on my dress. Will be ordering another dress soon!

The dress was made exactly as specified, with the 3D floral and embroidery looking even better than I expected! Bodice was well lined with built-in cups and boning. Skirt was a good weight and I'm very happy that Tansy suggested adding the glitter fabric to add the sparkle!

The customization process went smoothly. Even though Lunss didn't have the exact lace I'd wanted, Tansy did a great job of suggesting alternatives. After the first time the dress was completed, I pointed out changes I wanted to make and I'm very happy with how they addressed my requests.

The only 2 things that I wasn't excited about in the end was that (1) there was a slight difference in color between the bodice and skirt and (2) the glitter in the glitter fabric was getting everywhere. The color discrepancy was something I spotted in the post-production photos but it was not noticeable in the final photos, I also think it's not super noticeable in person unless you're paying close attention. The glitter I'm hoping will go away in time!

LOVE MY CUSTOM DRESS!!

At first I was nervous to buy a custom dress online, but Tansy was so quick and helpful that it made it all easy! Shipment was timely, and when I received the dress, it was very well made with care and quality. If I ever want a custom dress in the future, I'm definitely buying from Lunss again!
