Bad to worse

Ordered an expensive David Hunt light back in August. It did eventually turn up... in pieces. Finally arranged a return after several weeks of calls and emails and was notifed by Hermes that is was delivered to a house porch (this didn't match the picture on google of their trading address)! The MD William asked me several times how I had returned it as he couldn't locate it...funny he sent me the returns label and details himself, duly pointed out then a miracle it was found in pieces (well it didn't put itself back together on the return journey). Agreed to send a replacement within 8 days, weeks later no sign, no communication, no phone number to call as line gets diverted then goes dead, claimed through very helpful mastercard and went and bought a replacement from a reputable local shop. Now bearing in mind we have now paid nearly double thought we would have a good look at new light..not convinced from the pieces in the box that the first one wasn't a fake..motto if it seems to good to be true it probably is! Assuming this company is now in liquidation although still trading via the web, DO NOT PRESS THE ORDER NOW BUTTON!!

Be warned - Do not buy from this company!!

I ordered a ceiling lamp with a microwave sensor for my porch from this company. I am disabled and needed a light that switched on when I entered the porch at my new home. I received confirmation of my order but never received the goods. Despite several emails to the customer care department I still did not get a reply or the goods. Fortunately I paid via Pay Pal and was able to set up a 'dispute' and eventually got my money back. I don't know what position I would have been in if I had paid this company direct. I learnt a lesson - always check reviews of companies you buy from.

Unscrupulous business people

Ordered and paid for a transformer over a month ago through this company's website. The product was £12 so hardly platinum. Not seen anything nor had any notification. Tried calling them but no answer. Unscrupulous pr1ck runs this set up. Do not use!

Scammers

Ordered my lighting more than a month ago. Haven't heard back from them, no one picks up the phone or responds to email. Now I am trying to reclaim my money back through Mastercard.

Terrible customer service

Ordered a light, paid via PayPal and payment was taken instantly. Received no confirmation of the order from Lyon. The light never arrived. Phoned and emailed numerous times but was always fobbed off. Nobody I spoke to could help at all. Then I checked online reviews... wow! Wish I had checked before ordering. Have since made a successful claim via PayPal. If you're checking these reviews before buying you've saved yourself a lot of hassle. Otherwise, good luck to you.

Does this company even exist ...

Money taken promptly, goods did not arrive, phone disconnected, emails not answered. Finally I received a refund via the Paypal dispute resolution service. Do not attempt to buy anything from Lyon Lighting.

Dreadful experience,never to be repeated.So BEWARE!

Wished to purchase a in line table lamp switch.Found Lyon Lighting on the web,contacted them by telephone and ordered and paid for the part.I was told the part would be delivered in 4 to 5 days.The order was placed towards the end of Sept.In spite of chasing my order by email and telephone calls to the company,the part has never been delivered.The last time I telephoned Lyon Lighting I gathered the phones had been disconnected as they did not ring out properly.If they are trading again I would be very sceptical of their modus operandi.No apology has ever been received from them.

Don't go near these people!

Ordered a wall light back on October. Light was never delivered. Called their customer service staff twice with the promise of an investigation and a call back, this never came. The last few times I tried to contact them the number was unobtainable. I assumed that they had gone out of business. Luckily I had paid by PayPal so opened a dispute and managed to get my money back.
You have been warned!

Online experience

Once my order was placed there was NO response to my update requests, NO contact whatsoever, payment was taken but NO goods arrived so I contacted PayPal who dealt with this and refunded my payment. Absolutely shocking, that is my response.

I bought bathroom lights from this company. The lights did not arrive. I called and emailed and could not get through. I contacted my credit card company for a refund which I have not received yet.

Excellent

Extremely pleased with this glass shade, it is almost a match for the other four shades in the light, slightly larger but hardly noticeable, also well packed. Very reliable comapny, I would certainly recommend Lyon Lighting and use them in the future.

Strange, eccentric & unorganised company apparently... intrigued? Read on...

There was one time I ordered something from them, it was meant to arrive within 3-4 days but it didn't. A good week passed and I was still waiting for it.

So I decided to ring them and all I can remember was the guy's voice on the other end of the phone, he sounded like he was just out of bed or something or woken up from a very deep sleep. Anyway, I explained my situation to him about my item not arriving when it should have - he then told me that it was out of stock and that nothing ever left the warehouse.

So naturally the irritation started, I could nearly feel the steam coming out of my ears but I decided to remain calm. So the phone call ended with him telling me that "it shouldn't be too long now" so I accepted what he said and that was that.

Guess what? Another week passed, phoned them again, I believe the same guy lifted the phone who yet again sounded like he wasn't long away from dream world. We basically had the same conversation as last time - it was still out of stock!

Another week nearly passed - still no parcel - and I was about to call them for a third time but I knew that this time I probably wasn't going to keep my cool so I thought about it for a while. All of a sudden at some point during that morning I received a text from DPD, informing me that my parcel will arrive today... I was so releived to read that text on my phone because I was literally about give that poor guy a proper wake up call.

It took three weeks to get to my house - three weeks!

Will I reccommend Lyon lighting? I'm thinking... still thinking... Naa.
