Hard as concrete
Had the original Macoda mattress and loved it. So comfy and no waking up in pain. The new model mattress is a different story! It’s rock hard and extremely uncomfortable no matter what configuration it’s set on even the (soft) configuration is like concrete and actually harder than the medium configuration. The original mattress had a cloud like top cover and used latex in the comfort layers and was a far superior mattress for comfort and back support for side sleeping, besides edge support which is better on the new model. Regret purchasing again as my spine in now a complete mess. Tossing and turning all night and waking up at 3,4 am in agony every morning! Worst mattress I’ve ever had. If you’ve ever slept on an ikea mattress this is how hard the new Macoda model is in comparison. They offered a softer insert, but already had one at home...It made no difference as the spring system is obviously rock hard as well.
Requested a return/refund and was refused. Their policy is that if you have purchased a mattress from them in the past and buy a new one in future the 100 night trial and refund does not apply to your new mattress....1 Mattress return per household only. Shady practices from most of these bed in a box companies. They say the policy is in place so that customers do not abuse the 100 night trial, but what about if your legit and in total agony from the product, or the product is defective you are stuck with it.
