Scamming letting agent! Landlord be aware!

This letting agent will take your annual letting fee in advance and will not refund if the tenancy ends early!

We have let Madley manage our flat in Bermondsey and the single AST tenancy was between April 2022 to July 2023 over the length over 14.5 months.

However, they have charged us 24 months of letting fee in advance. When the tenancy ends, they would not give the refund for the remaining period.

Landlords stay away from these scammers!

I can’t speak for the whole of Madley but for the branch in Surrey quays that managed my property are the worst set of people you will want to leave under their roof.This property was a safe haven until Milena stepped in.The property is currently undergoing works,and is so noisy,from the works my car got damaged,my mates car and even they sent contractors in without my permission and damaged furniture.I made a complaint via call about the noise and the damages and the first reply I got was that I should have not renewed my tenancy because I was aware there will be works going on.I thought that reply was a bit uncalled for and in the heat of the situation I got threatened by Same Milena that when I am leaving the property She will ruin my reference and truely speaking she carried out every threat she ruined our reference and kept persuading us to leave the property on the day.It has been her plan to make us homeless.At some point the disrespect and rudeness was too much so I handed over to my mum.I cannot express how badly she has been speaking to my mum.I formally made all complaints of the damages done by the works and till today nothing has been done.I have evidence of all emails and even some recordings of conversations with Milena.So If you ever want to rent any of their properties I have no objections but think twice if Milena manages the property you are renting .I won’t stop here as I have all the proof of the services I received and I believe the world has to see and know as this may save someone from being homeless like I and my mum currently are.

Lloyd Whitbey is by no means the best and most helpful member of staff at Madley Property. I would highly recommend anyone to him that is in need of support in buying or selling their property in SE London.
