Lots of shows to choose from; very large selection- no doubt. I was really excited to purchase this after I saw an ad on Instagram. I love true crime. However, I have zero patience for British accents. None. Can’t understand them worth a darn. So I will never purchased this subscription again. It is obnoxious that that’s the choices- British narratives only. No thanks. I am not paying $60 a year to listen to crap that I can’t even understand unless I put the subtitles on to read. So disappointed.

I was watching Empire Builders MEXICO and it is full of inaccuracies. It sounds like a fascist European wrote the script. Not worth the money. From time to time I watch these documentaries not worth the time and effort.

I'm happy with my annual MagellanTV membership. Their educational and high-quality content is incredible. I can't get enough of it—I'm constantly glued to my screen. The documentaries cover a wide range of topics, and they're so well-made that I find myself fully immersed. The service is also a fantastic deal for the value you get. I don't feel guilty binging their documentaries compared to Netflix. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves learning and wants top-notch entertainment. It's a true gem of a streaming service!

I've viewed this channel off and on for roughly three years. The one thing about this channel is the consistent quality of the material it provides. Is it BBC or PBS quality? Well, yes it is. Can they throw YouTube quantities, no and I hope they keep the quality over quantity.
For myself I can watch a quality something repeatedly; so in a way quality is my quantity.

Same old stuff on. Nothing new ever seems to come in.

I saw an ad for this and after checking it out I signed up for the free trial and monthly subscription. The shows are very good! I like true crime and history and my husband likes space and science. I hope they keep going with new programs. Love it!

Terrible interface. Log in works then doesn't. So one moment it works, the other moment it doesn't. Slow too.

Well laid out and easy to find what I like. Once you understand your on a fact based streaming service and stop looking for regular movies you'll be fine.

I tried the "free trial" for this streaming channel due to the youtube advertisements that said new videos weekly. After two months, there was not ONE new video! False advertising. I ended the subscription.

I paid for one full year. Every time I try to watch, I have to go onto my PC and enter a code, and even then I can not get in. They took my money and won't even answer my questions. Really? I PAID FOR A FULL YEAR AND CAN WATCH NOTHING!

Every time I would try to watch something on Magellan it would require me to log in. You can't do it from the service (ROKU), they give you a code and you have to log in on a computer. My computer is in a different room and by the time I log in the code has expired and I have to get a new code. By the time I jump through all their hoops I have wasted a lot of time. Their system is needlessly complex and time consuming. I cancelled the service.

80%l the documentaries are based in south Africa which was okay but I would liked to have seen more variety , they domt change as often as they claim ,I domt think it's value for money as some are old and been on other channels for years

I’m quite surprised at the low reviews Magellan TV has received on this site. As noted, I gave them five stars.
My experience with the Magellan TV support group has been nothing but fantastic. When I first subscribed I was having difficulty getting the app to load correctly. They answered my question and the very next day as I got a detailed friendly response on the various actions that I could take to rectify the situation. After following their instructions I did get The app to work properly. Since then I’ve had on at least four other occasions, the need to reach out and ask for their assistance. Each and every time the response has been timely, friendly, courteous and solve my problems. Those issues were on my end of things not anything to do with the Magellan app.
After one of my fixes, the next day I received an inquiry from Roxanne at Magellan TV asking me how everything went. I responded I am up and running and everything is going good however I do get occasionally tiling. I believed it was a bandwidth issue on my end, she advise this should not be and recommended a fix, which again fixed my tiling issue.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the excellent programing provided. The documentaries are extremely well done and interesting. With such a extensive line up of options, I’m sure there’s something for everyone.
I would recommend to parents to have your children tune into Magellan tv. In fact it’s very likely they’ll learn many different aspects of life and the world around us.
As a recent “ cable cutter”, I was fed up with endless commercials & really terrible mindless programs. Thus I was searching for programing that wasn’t trash, and I’m extremely pleased with what Magellan provides.
Plus the added bonus of NO COMMERCIALS!
I’d rate Magellan Support far superior to any other so called “ Support centers”.
I’m a “ Happy camper”, please keep it up Magellan, you Rock!

Cancelled a subscription, only to have money taken out this very night, a month after I Cancelled and had an email confirmation of my cancellation. Waiting on a response and hopefully a return. I'm about suspicious enough to cancel my card and have it replaced! Beware sheisty subscriptions!

Unfortunately the same happened to me as I am reading here from others.
Noticed they are taking monthly payments from my account. I logged in and saw I don't have an active subscription. Then why take money from my account every month?
Emailed support and waiting on a response/reimbursement right now.

I went for the 7 day trial. They do not email you before the end of your trial period and then bind you in to a years contract. This is why the Internet is crooked at times. It makes me puke. Stuck with it even though it is unwanted.

Update.......

Emailed my complaint and got a very quick reply and refund From Nancy and Julian.

Upped them to 4* from 1* as that no warning when trial coming to the end and the then 1 year bind is rather crafty otherwise 5 stars.

Videos are fine.

Don't.. just don't do it, i i cancelled my membership month ago and they are still taking my money. don't do it.

Great content and a very nice app to watch. The free trial is very much worth it.

The only feature missing is queue playing.
