Very bad dinning experience in The Rosebery.
We booked for two afternoon tea and not expected to serve for one as sharing plate. The price paid for two but serving size for one. This is not logic if you are paying full price but request to share and to request additional plate. I’m clarify the serving size from staff and staff replied sarcastic “you can order a thousand pieces of sandwiches if needed…” .
Overall experience, not good in service and not worth to pay.

Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is the place to go for formal dinners. I like that a proper dress code in enforced compared to some other 5 stars hotel in Bangkok. MO also have smaller boutiques to enjoy pastries like at my home in Emporium or at Gayzorn...

We stay in The Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park whenever we visit London. I have never had a disappointing experience to date. There is a good choice of restaurants. My only criticism is that it's sometimes difficult to get a seat in the bar at weekends, despite being a hotel guest.

Mandararin Oriental DC Christmas Brunch
Three of us went for Christmas Day 2021 In DC, for their brunch. The brunch could fit in a bathroom. There was hardy any food/choices and the desserts were mostly icing, not cake. The price per person was $150, which was not worth it, a rip-off is the appropriate word.
This brunch was cheaply done, the food was scare, but the staff was nice.

I can't thank the Mandarin Oriental London enough - a couple of weeks ago it was my son's birthday and we were staying at the Royal Thames. The traffic, due to road works, was at a standstill - we'd intended to meet friends and family in Chelsea but quickly realised this was going to be impossible. Enter stage right... the Oriental - the Deputy Manager at the bar was amazing : he swiftly ushered us all in, magicked up a birthday cocktail for my son and their welcome, despite the fact we were not guests, could not have been warmer. Thank you so much! And the Deputy Manager needs a special thank you - we often went to the Captain's Bar in HK when we lived there - his professionalism and adroitness at his job reminded me of the 100% service we always received in HK.

Another stunning stay at MO KL! The club lounge is one of the best I’ve ever experienced! Seriously I don’t know how they do it for the room rate. The hotel is stunning and has a great outdoor dining space and swimming pool, staff are great and really friendly! I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thanks especially to the staff on 24th floor for making our stay so delightful! Everything is done with a smile and truly genuine! Great stay.

Another amazing stay at the MO. I have been staying with the MO hotel for quite a few years now and I visit at least 3 times a year. This is simply the best hotel in the world, the best team of staff and the best hospitality you could ask for. We rarely leave the hotel and we enjoy breakfast, lunch & dinner in all the fabulous restaurants on site. We love the Bamboo bar in the hotel, very relaxing, great service, great cocktails and a live jazz band will entertain. There are always so many staff to thank for their kindness, service delivered from the heart. Over the years we have got to know the staff (at all levels from the GM GREG, the lovely management team who are always visible and engaging, to the fantastic pool staff lead by the most amazing Jefferey. I don’t even have to ask at breakfast for my morning drinks, the team on the veranda always remember my preferences (super star Thanolan, the lovely ladies and Somkat were truly amazing on this Stay). One night we dined at the Sala Rim Naam where we were again greeted by the team and treated like royalty. The manager Christoph runs the restaurant to the highest standards and the staff always seem so happy to be working here. It always feels like it’s a ‘home from home’ when I stay at the MO and I could write so much more. For anyone thinking of staying at the MO, it’s a must and once you have experienced the service and kindness you will want to return like myself again and again. Nothing compares..... Simply Perfection!
My wife and I recently spent 3 nights…
My wife and I recently spent 3 nights at the Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona. Just before checking out to board a cruise ship, I had a hamburger for lunch. Within 4 hours I became violently ill. I was quarantined for 2 days, rehydrated by IV, and had a restricted diet and limited activities for the remainder of the 7 day cruise. I notified the hotel manager, and when he denied responsibility, I notified the CEO of the MO hotel group. Mr. Riley failed to even acknowledge my emails.
MO’s excuse was that I must have eaten the contaminated food elsewhere - even though I had pointed out that my wife and I had identical tasting menu dinners for 3 nights (all at Michelin starred restaurants), and had all our breakfasts at the MO. The only differences in our food for 3 days was that before checking out, I ate a hamburger and my wife did not. I became ill and she did not. The hamburger was blood red rare even though I ordered medium rare. It’s hard to avoid responsibility given those facts, but that’s exactly what MO did.
A quick search reveals multiple cases of food poisoning at Mandarin Oriental hotels, including one at the MO Barcelona reported in 1/17. The author of this review also mentions the failure of management to offer any consideration other than another meal. MO totally failed to live up to it’s reputation for 5 star customer service, and based on numerous reported experiences, doesn’t even meet minimal hygienic standards.

Had a good buffet this ramadan. Exceptional quality - we went to the one in KL with me and my girlfriend. Had a great night overall, would definitely go again and do it.
