The worst payment provider out there, avoid at all costs

The worst payment provider out there.

I am a PM working for a company that integrated with Mangopay as a payment provider. Oh boy, did I regret my decision of choosing this company. From the outside, it looks nice and shiny, but once you look at the inside, it's so disorganised. They lack all kinds of payment functionalities and infrastructure. Many times I've had to chase them to reconcile a fund transfer from our clients because they are doing things manually and 'forgot' to do some things. Other times, the payout was created but not successfully sent to the recipient. 70-80% of our clients have issues with payments because of Mangopay, and we even had some clients churn because of this. To top it off, their Support team is very slow and they don't work past 5pm. I'm very frustrated with this experience with Mangopay.

If you are considering Mangopay as a payment provider to integrate with, learn from my lesson and avoid at all cost.

A terrible impression via Vinted - but the source is mangopay!

As a partner of Vinted, continuously rejecting my verification as a pro seller, I can’t believe there is not a way to find a better way to communicate directly about the reasons for the rejection.

I have uploaded my documents several times now and Vinted support do not have the answers and are rude to me when saying so. I have been trying to resolve this for two weeks now and keep getting mixed messages, incorrect and unhelpful information and abuse from customer support (I quote “if you cannot follow the guidelines that is not our issue”).

Your company name is associated with this and it’s giving a terrible impression of your company in this partnership.

I would be happy to update this review if somebody can contact me and tell me what I am doing wrong. Please 🙏🏻

terrible experience

my money on vinted pro account has been blocked, I was asked to verify my identity. despite the fact that I send them the documents exactly as I asked, my verification was unsuccessful, for no reason (I repeated this process 5 times already) Mangopay responds in emails that I should contact vinted for help, vinted ignores my messages, sends automatic replies to send the documents again and wait. both customer service in vinted and in Mangopay does not exist. I have no idea who to contact for help. Mangopay has both my money and all the documents (bank statements, passport photo, all my company details) I have been selling on vinted for 5 years and I have never had this situation before. The problem started when I changed my vinted account to vinted pro and Mangopay took over the responsibility for money transfers

Mango Pay Horror Show with Vinted

I have an Pro account on Vinted and despite being a UK citizen providing a valid UK passport and drivers licence and all the requested details, I still am unable to access large sums of money in my vinted account. Despite already being authenticated by the Vinted platform using the same documents. a week has passed with multiple attempts (7 and counting) and no feedback or contact made from Mango pay to be able to resolve. Contacting them is impossible. It is a absolute nightmare and killing my work. They are sitting on thousands of pounds with no attempts to help. Will have to seek legal action to resolve.

Haven’t received my funds from sale on Vestiaire Collcetive, and customer service is a joke! They have my funds and I have received no information - so basically stealing! I have reached out to them several times, and they keep ignoring me.

Dishonest or blind company.

I have several hundred euros with Vinted, which subcontracts with Mangopay. They have been rejecting my ID documents daily for about ten days due to "expiration," even though my passport is perfectly valid. I also tried using my driver's license, which has no expiration date. No communication except through my complaints to Vinted. A company to avoid!

IMPOSSIBLE to get a response

We're a marketplace platform contracted with MangoPay directly. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a response from any of their teams (Billing, Support, Complaints etc.) If anyone knows how to get through, please tell me how!!!

I wrote about this dreadful company…

I wrote about this dreadful company three years ago. I get paid by them for selling on Chrono24. If you see a platform that partners with them I would not, under any circumstances, use that platform. They take many days to pay and hold onto money for days to earn interest. You have been warned!
UPDATE: As others have said this company are really just scammers. I sold a watch via Chrono24 and have not been paid. They claim to have sent the money but this is a verifiably just not the case. I have removed all my watches for sale and moved them to Ebay who pay in under 24 hours usually so products do not have to be sent until money is actually in my bank account....Ebay does not use these scammers.

Nothing but a massive scam

Vinted uses Mangopay as a payment provider. I trusted that if I sold items on Vinted that my money would be safe with Mangopay. It isn't, they will not release my funds, over £200 of sales and they are refusing to release MY money as my passport expired 2 months ago, regardless of being able to provide bank statements, bills etc. AVOID USING ANY COMPANY THAT USES MANGOPAY AS THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Should be investigated

If I could put less than a star, I would. Similar experiences as others with Vinted. They are requiring a written letter as well as a bank statement to prove I haven't received a payment. Fortunately, my bank will provide this but it is unclear why they are requiring this level of information despite it being widely reported (see The Sun) that a) they are having a huge problem with missing payments to 1000s of users and b) fully knowing that a signed letter will not be provided by many banks (they know this because it has been reported in the articles about this). As reported in the Sun, even people who provide the signed letter are not getting paid. I have provided them with a reference from my bank - they've refused to use it to check transactions. Funnily enough my bank was happy to search for the transaction (using the reference Vinted sent to me) without a signed letter from Vinted - so despite the responses on this page, they are fully aware that requiring a signed letter from a bank is not standard practice when it comes to verification. This warrants investigation - not least why they are asking for bank statements when they are not using for the stated purpose (proving a transaction was not received - as stated on the Vinted website, which makes no reference to a signed letter). Worth checking whether they are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority to see if you can complain about them - if not you should still be able to complain to the Financial Services Ombudsman if your money still hasn't been returned to you in 8 weeks. None of the communications I have received regarding the matter acknowledges that they have been experiencing widespread problems with missing payments.

The money was immediately debited from my bank account but the sellers still haven't received anything and are threatening to cancel my purchases!

I sold clothing via Vinted and mango pay did not transfer the funds into my account. I chased this Vinted who insisted I had been paid and blamed my bank. After investigation from my bank it was found that Mango Pay were being dishonest. After constant challenges from me they eventually paid and apologised

Witholding money on vinted

I am in the same boat. Have been selling on vinted with no problem for the past year. They then asked for ID verification which was successful - then asked for proof of address which i sent. This was all over 3 weeks ago. Still cant withdraw money. Vinted saying they are waiting to hear back from mango pay. It is so frustrating as no one really knows what is going on and we have money we want to withdraw. I wont carry on selling on Vinted as I dont want them to have even more of my money that I cant withdraw!

"James" is also just a chat bot. Crap customer service.
