Utterly dissapointing

Upon initial arrival we were really happy with the presentation and look and feel of the park. The travel to the park from the airport was fairly straight forward and we arrived in a positive mood.
The lodge (Eurocamp) that we stayed in was compact but had enough space for our family of five and was clean and tidy, however it was extremely closed in around a lot of other lodges.
The park is VERY expensive and aside from the pool itself, everything is an additional cost which isn't made clear on the website. The pool, although free to use, is regulated very strictly and any form of fun is squashed by the fun police with whistles, i understand the need for safety but the "lifeguards" ruined the fun somewhat with their over zealous blasts on the whisles. In addition, again more money is need to rent a lounger and umbrella at the pool and the beach.
The staff in the restaurants and shops are among some of the rudest people I have ever met in a service industry and for me, this really ruined the holiday. I was so frustrated at how we were spoken to in restuarants and shops.
The onsite shop (no other option around) is VERY expensive and for me, makes a self catering option more expensive that an all-inclusive hotel break.
To top things off the lodge we stayed in suffered an infestation of ants whilst we were there, the solution... we were given a can of bug spray! We went in August and couldn't really enjoy the outdoors once the sun set as we got eaten alive by mosquitos, we were not the only ones, we saw sooo many people with bites all over them! Again, the supermarket sells a lot of sprays for inflated prices.

The park heavily caters for Germans which again, i didnt like, the camping is crammed in and there is just too many people fighting for the same space. This is absolutely not for me and I will not be returning. This park gave a bad impression to the ark itself and Europark who I booked through. NOT happy at all.

Big campite, lots of german tourist, small pool.

Marina di Venezia is a very big campsite, I guess about 12.000 people so really big. We where on a central location what gave us the possibility to do everything by foot, if you are far from the centre it is a very long walk. Camp site including sanitary is very clean, pichtes are big enough.
Restaurant on the strip are offering mainly a kind of fast food like pasta's, Hamburgers and Pizza. Good to have diner once but better restaurants can be found outside the campside.
The beach it also really nice, very wide. If you rent sunbeds (like we did) you have a realy good time.

A few points of attension:
1. I think 85% maybe more are german tourist, not a problem but the campsite is complete build arround that. Employees will speak to you in german instead of English. According to feedback of the campsite this should not be the case but trust me it is. Also employees (specially at the cash office) are getting really unfriendly when you want to speak English. At the cash office all people should get a customer service training and if they are not interested in their work they should stop doing that, really bad!!
2. Siesta time between 13:00 and 15:00. We are completly fine with that. It is someting that is still being done at this coast line, on other places we went in Italia this was not done anymore (a bit old fashion). It is fine to have these siesta periods but it does not make sence at all if the roads are becoming some sort of karting area for all the golfcars and also shops are still open. Guests are not allowed to do anything but employees and shops are open to collect money, completly wrong implemented. Again I am not against this but the way this campsite has implemented this does not make sense at all.
3. Due to the siesta they offer parking spaces outside the campsite in case people would like to use their car in during these siesta hours. There are about 50 parking places for 12.000 people, there is never ever a place available.
4. Remember the 12.000 peope, the swimming pool is really to small. Kids cannot play due to the hughe amount of people. The slides are fine but it is too crowed. Sunbeds you needs to rent but there aren't many and there is almost no place to put a towel somewhere. For this campsite way too small.

All and all we had a great vacantion but I am doubting if we got back for a second time, I have better experiences wil other large campsites in the area.

Its a Nice place

Its a Nice place, BUT the water in the pools is milky white every day ( 8 days in a row now )that’s NOT ok with hundreds of people using them including kids, that’s pretty unhealthy and the pools chlorine doesn’t work properly when the PH value is wrong witch makes it milky white. and you can’t have ANY fun in the pools without the staffs will blow in their whistles and tell you to stop, even if you are fare from other people, and doesn’t annoy anyone or is loud, that is also not ok, specially when they force you to check in, for at least 1 week, then water at least should be healthy right ?
