Very poor website from the past.

- No English option
- Every completed transaction disappear as soon as completed (no way to track previous transactions at all - good for money laundry I guess.)
- No easy way to report the numerous site issues so they will never get fixed.
- The option for shipping is broken, the choices available do not match the list of options presented in the help menu anymore.
- I reported a few times some fake items (fake usb keys, etc..), and they always responded promptly explaining they do not see any issue with fraudulent ads.
- Wen sold in cash, there is a way to confirm the item has been sold, but no option to select the buyer, so I am only offered to leave feedback for a person who chatted with me about the pitem while I sold it to another person. Again, no way to report this or to get this fixed.

A completely morally bankrupt (and likely soon literally bankrupt) company. This website is full of scammers on both the buy and sell side. Buyers will use their escrow "payment service" to send money and then just cancel the payment and claim they never received anything after receiving the goods. Sellers will just send you nothing or send you a brick. The company offers 0 support or help, the payment provider also doesn't and going to the police is obviously completely useless.

Never ever use this website unless you're a scammer. If you're a scammer: Marktplaats has been designed specifically for you. You can do anything you want on there with 0 risk of getting caught. Just use the payment service, order stuff and then never pay. SUPER easy. Perfect for scammers. If you're a normal human being: use ANY other website instead and always only sell expensive good in person in cash or by in-person transfer. Don't ever trust online payment and shipping.

I hope this scamming useless company goes bankrupt and ceases to exist ASAP.

I tried to explain what happened to the customer service about the shipping of my package. The seller sent my package to my old address that the marktplaats system filled out for him. but I already moved to another city. I can't even change my own address in the app or on web version before or after my purchase. All the customer service said was that I had to tell the seller each time from now on that I have a new address because that's just how it works. Only after 2 minutes I asked, 'so why can't I change my address in the menu while i can change my phone number, name, email except my house address?' this guy from customer service Glodi said, 'Ik heb je net uitgelegd. Ik heb geen zin in dit discussie meer.' So this is how they train their customer service. GREAT! TOP!!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

Yesterday evening the markplaats blocked my account. No email nothing that why. Several times I tried to get contact but only the chat robot and no one with whom I can talk that what is the reason. No phone number, no email nothing.

Avoid!
I gave 3,59 euros to bring my add on the top and it never happened.
Waste of money
Disappointed

Too many scammers and too much frauds.
For the third time I got stolen, payed for something and never received it, the seller disappears..
lost more than 400€!
I don’t recommend this app.

I placed an add, only got contacted by fraudulent bidders, almost deserves 0 for the experience. I removed my add after a few days.

I tried to place a free advert, but I kept getting a message that the ad would not be shown and that I would get an email explaining why. I never got such an email. Then I paid to place the advert. They took my money and did not dispaly it.

Hi ! A few days ago I tried to sell my book through Marktplaats, somebody wanted to buy it, the buyer went through all the steps and it was my turn now.Because of the "Seller protection" I had to be verified once again. Something went wrong and I've contacted the Tehnical support from the platform about the verification account which was supposed to receive the money from the transaction and they said that I'm supposed to have in my account minimum of 50€ (that was super strange to me, was looking exactly like a big scam), that it will be a test payment and no money will be deducted from my account.They sent an link with 56 € for they're "fictive" verification and I was lucky that i didn't accept it because in this moment i would have been without 56€ less from my account or more. And I said to them that I have only 1€ in my account and that is not possible to accept they're "fictive payment" because I don't have those money.
And soon after that they were saying to me that I'm an crook, that I'm too poor for they're site with only 1 euro into my account.
I was treated very very very bad, HOW THEY DARE ?!
I have screenshot on my phone with all my conversations with them and I want to report them !

Be aware! This is a scam! Don't transact here anymore! Not a safe place!

Please why do you allow scammers spoil your reputation without baiting an eyelid? This is very annoying to say the least.

This website is allowing scammer to operate without any obsticles even though we catch them and report them, they refuse to take any actions. Be careful using this platform.

I hope everyone is seeing this before they decide to advertise with this scammers.

I literally paid 55€ on a 3 days campaign and I got blocked of my account access in the meantime cause any time i want to login they pretend to send a security code which never actually comes at my mobile number.

I reached them out begging for help and all I got was rude answers.
I can provide proof and screenshot of all the situation.

Caution! Avoid falling into the trap set by these individuals. Marktplaats is no longer a reliable platform. It used to be a good source, but now it's becoming a complete trap for Marktplaats profit.

The buyer protection is handled by an unresponsive company, ignoring you until the ticket is closed. It's not just about fake products; the entire system seems unreliable.
It's outrageous – the service chat actually laughed at me and told me to file a complaint! Can you believe that?

I am already following this via a lawyer to make sure this platform will be romeved soon. Netherland is not a third world country who everyone can do crime in it. We shouldn’t let it become one.

Anyone can write a review to a user regardless if a transaction was involved. You may just find out one day that a person you have just asked for details on his product will send you 1-star review just because.. the platform confirmed many users complained about it but they still do not take action.

I think Markplaats used to be good a few years ago, but it is rubbish now.

Buyer agreed a price and a time to collect. 5 minutes before the collection time they sent a message that "son had obtained one from work".

We wasted an afternoon waiting. To make matters worse, we have been struggling a bit financially and needed the money.

Markplaats seems to have no interest in preventing this bad behaviour.

Like so many otgher on-line companies they seem also to have gone out of their way to make it nearly impossible to contact an intelligent member of their staff by any means whatsoever.

Absolutely horrible experience! I sent a product through their secure shipping and it was damaged. They’re not helpful and I’ve been waiting for a month and no money back.

Really one garbage sait full with froud sellers, discussing how they handle people, no eny help for getting money back,nothing,they protect the froud!

Beware of automatic charges when using the site. They will bill you automatically as they please.
