Avoid an overpriced terrible food
This has now turned into an overpriced place with unappetising food ! Avoid the starter sharing platter which is a minimum of 2 yet all arrives on one plate for one ! A big con All the food was terrible we went to the Bayswater branch on Saturday The chain used to be one of our fav places to go - no more ! wonder if it has new owners
Terrible food
Terrible food. Ridiculous price. Stay clear from the soho branch. The Covent Garden one supposed to be slightly better
One of my favourite restaurants
One of my favourite restaurants. The stuff is always super friendly and I never had a bad meal. Good place to take the kids as well.

I have been a long standing client of Masala Zone in London for 10yrs but new to Earls court branch. Recently I ordered food online thru JustEat & complained twice about food spillage enroute. The third time I ordered food they purposefully sent me all the items 50% quantity & when I called them & asked they replied that to avoid spillage hereafter they will only deliver to me 50% of the quantity that I was getting all along. Their behaviour was rude and challenged me to report to management. I write to management but NO response. Its extremely disappointing this branch doesn't bother about complaint and has the audacity to respond the way they did. I would NEVER AGAIN use Earls Court restaurant.
However, I must add the food offered by the group is authentic though over the years they started reducing their quantities drastically which is very disappointing. Customer service in Bayswater restaurant is excellent.

Have eaten here many times over the years, but it has noticeably gone downhill of late with deterioration in the quality of food, and an upsurge in prices. Eat here alone a couple of weeks ago and a £45 bill for a starter, meagre potato-laden thali and a couple of beers (extortionately expensive even at London prices) a bit OTT. Shame, but will seek alternative options in future.
Covent Garden , great experience
Covent Garden…went in yesterday afternoon, hadn’t booked and needed a table for five for a pre show meal. They were really busy but the wonderful lady at front of house managed to squeeze us in rather than sending my group which included three children back out into the rain. She said she needed the table back in 90 mins which was no problem, the service was excellent, staff polite and we didn’t feel hurried at all. The food was excellent, I had chicken Mangalore, which was superb. All in all I had a great experience. Just as I’ve come to expect having been to both the Covent Garden and carnaby street restaurants several times before.
Thank you, I’ll be back again without a doubt. It’s always a pleasure to eat here.
Camden restaurant looks after its customers.
Great prompt service, nice family meal will visit again
Covent Garden restaurant.
Covent Garden restaurant.
Went here after finding it on google, the food was really good and the service was the best I have ever received. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and we never waited for a waiter to come over if we needed them. My friend dropped something by accident, it was cleaned within 30 seconds and replaced with a fresh one. Would highly recommend and go again myself.
Overcharged by Masala zone…
Ordered a takeaway from masala zone Islington. The worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I Was charged twice for my meal. Will never eat at this or any other branch of masala zone again. Absolutely disgusted with the customer service. We used to order a takeaway from this restaurant once a week, but because of the managers belligerent and rude attitude we will never return. Overcharging me by £30 has cost you thousands in the long run Harish (manager)
This must be the best Indian restaurant…
This must be the best Indian restaurant in the UK. I have been a customer for years and can’t stay away. Delicious and creative food.
Masala Zone Camden Town
The ambience and atmosphere were excellent. At last! Carpet and upholstered chairs so you could hear yourself speak. The lighting was just right as was the temperature. The staff were efficient and friendly.
All good, until I began to order. ‘Regular’ rice and some complicated alternative that sounded like a meal in itself. I would have had more choice in a takeaway.
When my Rogan Josh arrived I was surprised at how small the dish was. It was good but there are a lot of good Rogan Joshes out there. The rice was mushy and tasteless but worst of all it was all luke warm. I sent it back via a very apologetic waitress and waited what seemed like a very long time (considering the place was half empty) for my hot meal to arrive. It did and amazingly it was still Luke warm! I wondered if they’d waited for it to cool down a bit before it arrived and what part of ‘hot’ they didn’t understand? It then arrived and it was hot, at last! But it was delivered rather brusquely by the manager who seemed irritated that I’d dared to complain rather than embarrassed that I’d had to send something back - twice.
At £30 for a curry, rice, two chapatis and a glass of wine I felt it was not too expensive but still not good value for money considering I’ve had much better curries from a takeaway at a third if the price.
It was my first visit to Masala Zone.
It will be my last.
