From the moment we contacted Matoke we dealt with Celia who was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We discussed with Celia what we wanted and she made a beautiful private 10 day package for us. Our private guide Wiki was very experienced and a great 4x4 driver who drove us around Kenia without any problems. He was also a nice person to be around. Highly recommended as a guide. We encountered some 1 in 100 year floods in the Masai Mara in April 2024 but Celia and Wiki found a way to work around these. When we needed to contact our insurance Celia was more than happy to deal with. Thank you all! We'll definitely be back Jorg & Heidi and Chris & Mon

This trip at the end of September had been a dream come true for a long time. We never been on safari before, and now we did this tailor-made trip by Matoke to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Our expectations were far exceeded. The scenery, the guide, and the accommodations. Everything was beautiful and perfectly organized. We saw so many beautiful things, too many to list. If I had to name just three, I'd give you three examples:
A leopard in a tree with its young and an impala for dinner in the Serengeti
The lion in the attached photo early in the morning in Lake Manyara
A serval snatching a rat from a black mamba in Tarangire
Our guide, Daniel, was fantastic. When he realized we loved all the animals, not just the Big 5, he spotted the most extraordinary birds and reptiles. We always felt safe in the car. Daniel was completely in control. He always found the perfect starting points to enjoy nature. Even at the last minute we saw the wildebeest crossing the Mara River and then spent a few days relaxing and enjoying delicious food in the quiet north of Zanzibar at Sunshine Bay.
