Not a trustworthy credit card
Wow! What has gone right?!!! Do you see your Synchrony Credit Card approval rating? Do you care?
I am screaming through this message.
1. Can't access my account online using the site on credit card. Says for over a month now that it is 'experiencing technical difficulties.
2. When I call the number on card it bleeps out the number to choose for customer service and makes you call back
3. When I finally did get a foreign accent customer service agent, they 'can't hear me' so hang up
4. You obviously are making it VERY difficult to pay on your card. IF I lose my card, I am outta options because I won't be able to make a payment. So then your 'no interest' incentive will disappear because we didn't pay our card. I don't even get a bill in the mail! I can't set up auto payments because the website is never up and running.
Crazy how a business keeps crappy credit services attached to their name.
The mattress is NOT what I expected
The mattress is NOT what I expected, especially for the price. I purchased it due low back pain and needing knew ones. It sinks in more that what I expected. It’s not as firm as I hoped it to be. I purchased it with the thoughts of Mattresses Firm 120 day try and return policy. I ordered around November 24th, 2023. After about 45 days, I wanted to return, back was hurting more. That’s when I found out about the $200 fee to do so. Since I had already paid my first bill of $100, I decided to keep because I would be in the hole $300. Mattress Firm needs to tell customers that along with the 120 days. So now I’m stuck with a mattress over $1000 that I’m not really happy with.
Credit card processed $500 over by salesman error…
the credit card was charged $500 over by the salesman's mistake. I was told that I going to get the money refunded back to my credit card in two days and it has been over 10 days and no credit, so I cancelled the order, the mattress was never delivered. Now they have my money and I don't have a mattress, and waiting to see how long it will take for this refund.
Mattress Firm King Mattress Defective/Expensive/Useless
We purchased a King Mattress from Mattress Firm in Frederick, MD, on September 24, 2022. The purchase price was $2749.99. The mattress was delivered to our new home on October 3, 2022. At the time, there was a ripple in the top of the mattress when the delivery was made. I noticed it when the delivery staff laid the mattress down in the correct area of the bedroom. I asked about the ripple then and they assured me it would "even out." I also asked the sales associate, Barry, about it by phone. He assured me it was nothing to worry about.
Everything seemed fine for a few months. Then the mattress began to lose support by March, 2023. We purchased slat boards (a.k.a. bunkie boards) on April 13, 2023, to provide extra support to the base of the frame. It helped, but in December, 2023--14 months later, the mattress sagged profoundly and lost more support. Both my husband and I had back problems from it. We are not obese. We have not misused the mattress in any way.
After researching possible issues online, we both suspect that the mattress was defective upon delivery. What is infuriating is what we paid for this product, in addition to a delivery fee of $119.99. The warranty policy was only for 120 days. The mattress was defective from the get-go. We will never do business with Mattress Firm ever again. We do not recommend them. We paid a lot of money for it and it was horrible.
I had a very positive experience
Reading all the bad reviews, I was a little worried about completing a warranty exchange. However, I followed the steps and was promptly approved for store credit. Thank you! I will be getting all my future mattresses at MattressFirm and won't be afraid to spend a little extra!! The showroom managers were also very helpful in finding me the right replacement.

Recently had interest in a queen size mattress. When it arrived I was happy. When I slept on it 1 night I was sorely disappointed. I sunk me so low I had to rock to get out out it. This was a previously used mattresses. I retuned it and got another totally different brand and it had coils that poked. I returned that as well. When the statements arrived minimum amount due for one month was $1.00; I paid $100.00. For 2 months I made $200.00 in payments when it only requested $2.00. Then I was hit with a mandated $209.96. The more I paid the more I owed (explaination payment received late), for restocking and whatever else they added but yet I paid $200.00 for product I deemed as used. This is my opinion.

I guess if u buy a mattress from them and there are no issues then perhaps they ok but dang if there is an issue.. watch out big time!! Lies, No Warranty. Garbage Quality
There is a reason they receive low scores. BELIEVE IT AND BUY ELSEWHERE. I purchased a low cost 750 full size mattress on 3 mos same as cash. I was told the mattress is warranties. The mattress within first 3 mos had springs going into my back. Warranty said to take pics with ruler and was denied refund or exchange because the ruler method did not show damage. This is a hoax. Mattress Firm does not honor their warranties! They do not replace your mattress. They give you a 'credit' and if prices have gone up- then you are out of luck or you have to pay even more! My mattress (Beautyrest) was covered under a 10 year warranty. It has only been 5 years and the matress sags more than 3 inches! There are huge lumps! Neither Simmons/Beautyrest nor Mattress Firm will honor the warranty. The 'credit' I was issued did not cover a mattress in the entire store!
Since I am having major surgery for kidney cancer I thought I was use the credit for a matress topper to be more comfortable. NOPE! Only good for a mattress! So basically- it is a coupon to get a new mattress yourself!

Purchased a $7,300 Purple adjustable split king bed with massage. Waited 2 weeks for delivery. One of the adjustable bases did not work. I had to go through the ordering process again in order to have the faulty base replaced. Since when is it the customer's responsibility to correct faulty merchandise? They should have had a replacement the next day, but no, I have to wait 2 more weeks for them to correct their blunder! I do NOT recommend this company what so ever!

When I tell you its the absolute biggest scam. You would think it would be as simple as ordering and waiting for delivery. But no!!
I ordered and adjustable bed, mattress, and paid for delivery and set up. I had my friend wait at the house and them people straight played in my face. They dropped the box with the bed in it and said they had no order for set up.
Well two chat agents and one phone agent later I find out they set you up for delivery. You have to call and set up your bed assembly. Which the website does not say in plain sight. I've yet to see it actually. Only the last agent I talked to made that clear. Then the mattress has a different tracking number because that's coming from FedEx. Again the agent told me, not something that was explained online.
The real kicker is I explain to the agent I need this done in a timely manner, I'm setting up a room for my husband coming home from the hospital. She says I apologize ma'am you have to call back tomorrow to set that up. The warehouse that delivered the bed has your order locked. You have to wait until the driver returns with the paperwork and they will unlock it🤬🤬🤬🤬

8/24/23 UPDATE: I CALLED BACK AS INSTRUCTED ONCE MY ACCOUNT WAS "UNLOCKED" THE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE WITH TODAY WAS NOTHING LIKE THE CHAT REPRESENTATIVES. THEY WERE EMPATHETIC AND INFORMATIVE. SHE REDEEMED THE SITUATION, NOT THE COMPANY. I STILL WILL NEVER MAKE A PURCHASE FROM HERE AGAIN. BUT SHE AT LEAST RIGHTED THE WRONG. SHE REFUNDED THE ADDITIONAL FEE AND MADE THE SET UP APPOINTMENT.

Didnt honor warranty due to bad quality mattresses
If I could give them no stars I would. Not good quality mattresses. We have had the worst sleeping experience. Plus they didn't honor their warranty that was promised should something happen.We were told that our mattress has a 10 year warranty. Less than a year one side has a huge dip. Filed a claim with them but was denied. Never again will I buy from them.
Don't honor online coupons
This is my 4th time purchasing from MF in past 11 yrs. Never had a problem until now. Just bought a queen Serta Perfect Sleeper Elkins II & matching box spring as I just retired & needed a new bed. Love it. But my problem is that MF did not honor online offer of $100 off, only giving me $50. Customer service in Houston was useless. Management suppose to call me. Never happened. Delivered in rainstorm also making my carpet soaking wet. Took numerous towels to dry plastic off. Just lost a customer.
UNTRUSTWORTHY! CAVEAT EMPTOR
I went to Mattress Firm and purchased a Stearns and Foster mattress and box spring. I received the purchase through their delivery service within two days. I was unhappy with the mattress and went back to the store for a return and refund which turned out would have cost me nearly $500.00. That would have been my fault since i had not studied the return policy. Hower, if I had purchased directly from Stearns and Foster, it would have been $150.00. The store manager offered me an additional return option if I exchanged the mattress instead of returning it. I selected a Beautyrest Black which cost over $4,000. This mattress was horrible and I returned to the store. I was now obligated to make another and last purchase and had to pay the exchange fee of $250. I wanted to purchase a different Stearns and Foster mattress but was informed the store didn't carry that model. The manager, Shawn, talked me into a Tempurpedic Pro Adapt which cost me $4,099., plus a foundation. This was my last allowable purchase. The mattress is horrible. Beyond bad. I contacted the store and they blew me off. Offered no help and told me I should buy a $400 Tempurpedic mattress topper, which I did. That made the mattress even worse. I contacted their corporate offices and asked for some help and never received a response. Totally ignored. I am out $5,000. and have a mattress I cannot sleep on. I have decided to throw it out, eat the 5K and move on. I cannot begin to convey my dismay over losing 5K and being ignored by Mattress Firm. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Worst customer service experience ever
Sold us the wrong base, made us pay to fix their mistake, and did not keep us informed of anything going on. I had to go back 3 times in person over the course of a month to get any form of update even though they kept promising to let me know what was going on.
