Scam artists. Money over patient care!

The most horrific experience my partner and I ever have had. Please AVOID these scam artists.

My partner had some health issues that weren't being resolved through the NHS.

A friend of ours told us to go to the Mayo US due to their investigative expertise and that they had a nice experience with them when they used to live in the US.

We decided to make the plunge and reached out to the Mayo to book a consultation. Right off the bat, we felt like we were just a "SALE" to the team on the phone. When discussing what we needed it felt like they just wanted put us on the most expensive package due to them having targets, half the things on the package were unnecessary, when quizzing the team on the phone why we should go for £8k platinum package, they just said its in on best interests and would fast track our process. We begrudgingly agreed, even though it was out of our budget and wpuld need to save for it. We needed time to get the money together but the sales team constantly kept persuing us to sign up and part with our mo ey. This was very unprofessional and way over the top.

Anyway we saved and parted with the money and requested dates to be seen. We had to follow up two or three times just to arrange an appointment.
We ended up seeing an American doctor who told us he used to work in the US Mayo, the consultation was swift and he referred us for tests, and said he would arrange a 1 to 1 with the US team immediately.

After 2-3 weeks we didn't hear any response from the doctor. We started to follow up with emails and calls.
After 1-2 months we kept getting fobbed off that results weren't ready and the US team are super busy and that they would let us know when the next availability is. 2 months of chasing beacme 3 months.
Then by the 15 week we got our blood results. We discovered once we saw the results, that they were ANOTHER PATIENT'S RESULTS they sent us by mistake. The nurse incharge called us to apologise about the "admin error" and said they would resolve all the "admin" and "operation" issues and send us all the results and set up the call with the US. We also found out why we weren't getting a response from the doctor we first, is that he had left the UK to go back to the Mayo US. This is a disgraceful way of working and unacceptable without so much of a handover or to refer our case to another doctor.
We got all of our results within 10 days (now a total of 5 months since we paid) and even they we had to chase persistently.
We've requested a refund from the Mayo for all the pain and stress caused. They have yet to respond (no surprise).

Don't even bother going to these clowns, all they care about is your money and contradicts their supposed "values" as a care group.

We ended up seeing a doctor on Harley Street and got us what we needed and refered in under 9 days.

Mayo Clinic should avoid at all costs and and the directors should be ashamed of themselves!

I never knew that a physician was able…

I never knew that a physician was able to with track their statement or follow up for examinations such as a MRI and Neurologist. How do doctors records become void? This physician TK openly acknowledged and stated that he only does what Worker’s Compensation says to do. I’ve always believed that the physician had the upper hand. When did the physician become the puppet? He lied he’s a hypocrite and I can openly say he has abandoned his oath as a physician and is not to be trusted. The good lord sees all in the righteousness in people. My opinion I would fear for my soul. After reading the doctors follow up review I can not believe he lied again. Do not trust.

AVOID Mayo Clinic AVOID

AVOID Mayo Clinic AVOID
This place is a complete joke. They messed my appointment up 5 times and didn't even care to call me back, apologise. I have come from overseas to have my exams done, although I had arranged everything 2 months prior, still Mayo clinic managed to mess everything up and delay my return by a week. The staff in Radiology is a joke. 3 people including their manager tried putting a needle in my arm and could not do it, they left me battered and bruised, Louis the radiology manager was quite arrogant and the radiographer Lexi was quite incompetent in doing what they are supposedly are trained for. she rammed the needle in my arm so many times. I will never go back to this place and make sure no one else does. Mayo clinic in London is not worth going to, Never again.

One of the worst clinics i have ever…

One of the worst clinics i have ever been in London.
They are most disorganised and have no clue about how to treat patients.
they never called me back and i had to call over 5 times and still after arriving, there was no organisation what so ever.
The Imaging Manager Louise and the Radiographer Lexi were most unprofessional and made me wait for a very long time with no explanations.
it seems that this is the trend by these two people as I had others say the same thing about them.
This is a shame, I will never go back and will not recommend mayo clinic. will also mention on social media about this horrible people and place.

Pediatric Nephrology is ineffective…

Pediatric Nephrology is ineffective with their treatment of adolescents. This is truthful and serious. Listen up: The Nephrologist we had wallowed in negativity and an acquired bad taste for adolescents in general. He branded our child as medically non compliant based on grasping at straws and sought to coerce us to submit to punishment dialysis based on his oppressive assumptions that we werent filling prescriptions and therefore meds were not being taken: a non truth our pharmacist easily contradicted. He seemed intimated by our very strict watch over our child's health and our keeping of every record and our being in command and control of our child's medical care. We arrived at appointments with a huge folder with every record there is for our child. It appears our exercising our parental authority and endeavour to work with him instead of submitting to him really bothered him. The transplant advocate was also the Nephrologist's personal nurse. She would be at our appointments but stood in a corner like a frightened rabbit. We suspected she was only there to peek at our notes and cower to the will of her boss instead of representing us as a patient advocate. Our last effort with them ended when we caught successive lies in our child's medical review after appointments. We are willing to give people the benefit of the doubt but there is no doubt when you say one thing and completely contradict yourself a couple of paragraphs later - repeatedly. For having an adolescent and being responsible parents we were condemned and belittled. When we confronted him for his excessive contradictions he sent us a letter with a list of excuses as to why a kidney was being denied to our child.... Really? Just 8 months later God in His goodness has seen to it our child is transplanted at a stable and even God fearing hospital. Our child is mature and medically compliant because of the knowledge it means life or death. God as our witness, this is all true and we have records to prove it. We have since heard of the cult like mentality at Mayo clinic and we praise God He delivered us from that place. This has not been an attack on persons but a grave warning to parents.

from your mayo clinic phlebotomist

i work here and i don’t have anything good to say about this place. i get paid $19.91 for walking around the hospital for eight hours straight drawing blood, and every single mayo staff member is unappreciative as hell.

i’m writing this review, because of this piece of scum fat nurse on MB7 icu who decided to YELL at me in an extremely quiet area where patients are still sleeping… embarrassing me, while the other end of the hospital could’ve probably heard the psycho. what i hated (just like every other Mayo staff member), is that she yelled at me like i was a dumb bag of rocks and like i’m the laziest gal she’s ever met. it wasn’t a mistake i made, but if she felt some typa way, she can talk to me like i’m a person. because i’m a person with a Spirit like her patients. she’s the one who’s brain dead, because as MANY times as i’ve seen her nursing in the icu, morning labs are TIMED for a specific reason, and it’s the same EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. nothing new.

working here, i find that the doctors, nurses, and a majority of people who hold a higher education—are THE MOST soulless people i’ve ever come across, especially that fat nurse. these specific people have treated me and everyone else in the lab like ULTIMATE scum. it’s unforgivable, because everyone in the lab works hard, and we’re the reason why all of you get your results from your blood work. many many many individuals who hold an M.D. feel the need to ask me what certain labs MEAN and what can they order if they’re trying to find out ‘xyz’… hm, i’m not the one who went to school for 12 years, maybe they should already know, especially since it only took me three months to hold the certification for what i do 😹🤷🏽‍♀️

and just hearing about that couple who recently donated $100M to Mayo’s institution is BEYOND confusing, someone should definitely investigate the cult rumors going around about this place… i used to bypass such an idea like that, but now i believe it. it reminds me of jeffrey epstein when he knew all those highly regarded people, there wasn’t really anything holding the dude back from the wrong that he did, AND he was still making money. that’s mayo clinic, lots of wrong being done behind the scenes, but making profit off of… something i guess.

it’s the WORST hospital institution that could ever exist on the planet. help us!!

Think Twice Before Scheduling with the Mayo Clinic

I called today to schedule an appointment to be seen at the Mayo Clinic. I have good health insurance which is accepted by the Mayo Clinic. I was told that I would NOT be able to schedule an appointment and to go back to my primary doctor. I was told that my symptoms don’t qualify for an appointment.
I have Never heard of this - I wasted 30 minutes on the phone scheduling an appointment - just to be told that they won’t be able to schedule any appointments for me.
If you are considering going to the Mayo Clinic - you might want to think twice - apparently you need to have certain symptoms in order to get an appointment.

For that money such a service? Is that a joke?

So you telling me, you are paying 670 british sterling for a consultation and yet you have to bombard them with emails regarding your case? Is that a joke? Nice that the treatment level is high but a shame that with that price tag, there is no customer service. Waste of money as most of things in London.

Terrible admin team, impossible to book an appointment

I have never experienced such poor service from a private establishment. It took me over a week just to book an appointment with a doctor. Anywhere else you would just call the secretary and book an appointment over the phone there and then. At the Mayo you need to call a general number and you are told someone will call you back to book . I had to chase daily for a week before getting someone to call me. Once you are in the clinic everything is great, the care is excellent and doctors are amazing. Chasing for results is also another challenge. Such a shame a reputable clinic like the Mayo is let down by a disorganised admin team. They should really get it together, fire the whole admin team and learn from other private clinics how to run an admin team. I hope the doctors there know that they are let down by a very disorganised system around them.

Unbelievably shocking and appalling…

Unbelievably shocking and appalling service! DO NOT waste your time and money. I had an extensive medical in Nov 2021. While the clinicians and medical staff appeared competent while I was there, it is impossible to receive a response over email about when I might be able to receive my results. 6 weeks of sending polite emails and not a single reply. All I have received so far is the transcript of the conversation I had with the Dr which isn’t very enlightening as it was basically a poor written version of my conversation with him. No other feedback on any of the other many medical and blood tests.

If you do a quick Glass Door search which provides an assessment of employee contentment levels, you will see everyone complains of a toxic working environment and poor communication. Something is clearly very wrong there but for the prices they are charging private clients they need to rectify quickly.

The only positive thing is that they are so useless that they haven’t even chased me for payment. Probably about to go bust or taken over….

I've had a patient number at Mayo for…

I've had a patient number at Mayo for around 20 years. Initially got decent care. Last visit was this week in the pain department. I was given two tests which I had to stay extra days to get the tests done and was sent home without out even seeing my doctor whom ordered the tests. This place is way too political and money driven now days! (Oct. 2021) they used to see about 20 patients a day now they see over 80 (per unit) I was told. Care here for me now, is actually worse than my local clinic! Save your precious time and money and avoid this place at all cost! Especially if you don't want to wait 5-8 weeks to just be blown off once you do arrive. And I'm an "established patient". Mayo will get zero more of my money and time for their lack of care anymore.

Mayo Clinic in the UK

Went to Mayo Clinic in the UK for a second opinion after bladder cancer spread to lungs and lymph nodes. After the initial meeting with Dr Fleming I was told it would be referred to USA and he would get back to me in 3-4 days. After a week I contacted them and they wrote back that it would take 3-4 weeks. I wrote back to complain that 3-4 weeks when tackling stage 4 cancer is too long a time frame and that I had been misled during the initial interview. If I had been advised it would take a month I would have gone elsewhere for a second opinion. Dr Fleming called the same day after I sent the email and said they were reviewing the case and he would call me again on Monday. It is now Wednesday and I have just sent another email asking what is going on and when I will hear from them.
