What's happened?

Recently McCoys Flame Grilled Steak crisps have become tasteless, they seem to have reduced the seasoning, so now, blind tasting them they are.....not steak/beef flavoured at all.
I wrote to KP Snacks late last year to complain about this and they blamed a factory problem in the machinery not putting enough flavouring on the product.
Now Months later, it's obvious that this is some kind of cost cutting process.
What was once my go to crisp, has now unfortunately been ruined by penny pinching accountants.

Not what they used to be

Mccoys cheddar and onion crisps used to be soft and had a real cheddar thrust to their flavour. Now they taste awful, I get a headache afterwards. Gone is the cheese flavour and it's been replaced by some bland non flavour. It truly is now a nauseating experience eating them. Be it EU guidelines or cheapening the manufacturing process, whatever you have done guys reverse it.

OMG what on earth has happened to…

OMG what on earth has happened to McCoys crisps. Opened a bag today to add to the plate with a sandwich for daughter's lunch. What appeared was like the crumbs that i usually leave. We both looked at each other in shock. Checked bags to find there’s only 25g in each now. Won’t be buying again. Disgusted!!!!!!

Lovely crisps however

Lovely crisps however, the company continues to put profit margins above all else which means due to cost of living there is exactly 5 crisps in the bag. Absolutely no justification for the price. The company made a 59% profit increase whilst making products 59% smaller. Disgusting

Half empty, anorexic sized portions.

I enjoyed the Thai sweet chicken flavour. Beyond that, DO NOT BUY THIS COMPANYS CRISPS. The bag was full of air and half bloody empty! It was if someone else had already ate the first half and left little of what was left for someone else. I was able to pinch it up...it would fit in the palm of my hand it was that empty. They are playing in not only my face but yours. Its a scam and they will continue if you let them.

Crisps are a lot thinner that they used to be.so they can get twice as many out of a potato 🥔 this was not what you lead us to believe in the first place. That with the fact the packet is smaller, absolutely disgusting 😭.so keep your crisps will get no more.l.

Getting bad these now

Getting bad these now! They taste great but you get near nothing in the bag! Just another greedy company that only cares about getting every penny off hard working people!

Absolute disgrace the amount you're…

Absolute disgrace the amount you're given and for the price. I've already complained before to customer services but no response. 1/4 of the bag full. Atleast be economical and make the bag smaller and then people can see too how much they're actually getting.

Mccoys Flame Grilled Steak

The Mccoys Flame Grilled Steak flavour crisps used to be my 'favourite of all time' crisps to the point where I was regularly eating what was probably more than the recommended 'healthy' quantity but I just couldn't help myself!
I used to buy them by the box-load, as opposed to singularly or as multipacks but now all that has changed.
The packs have gotten smaller & smaller & the price has gone up & up but while this caused me to cut down on purchasing them quite so often, I still bought them more than any other crisps on the market.
I'm now, unfortunately, sick & tired of wasting my money on these once great crisps though because, shrinkflation aside, the quality has been more & more neglected, especially over the past couple of years or so and 90% of the packs I've recently bought have had barely any flavouring, often to the point of them tasting like nothing more than ready salted.
I stopped buying them by the box-load around 2 years ago because of this main factor because at least by buying them in multipacks, you stood a chance of falling upon a slightly better flavoured batch from time to time but now it's so common for them to be bland that I'm going to stop buying them altogether due to the constant disappointment of opening a pack only to be greeted by a small handful of pale, unseasoned slices of crunchy potato.
Just for the sake of it I've worked out that when I used to buy them by the box I was spending, on average, £150 minimum per year on them.
Surely they could afford to better monitor the quality and add a consistent amount of seasoning to their product instead of ruining their reputation by overcharging, downsizing and skimping on a few extra pence worth of seasoning?
I miss the days where companies like this genuinely took pride in their products first & foremost instead of only caring about making money & ripping people off by slowly making subtle but eventually noticeable changes over time, to the point where the original product is a thing of the past.

Just bought a multi pack of flame…

Just bought a multi pack of flame grilled steak. The bags are noticeably smaller, but even worse than that they have reduced the seasoning to a level akin to ready salted. Very disappointed

McCoy's Cheddar & Onion…concrete

I purchased McCoy's Cheddar & Onion crisps at Waitrose, and I must say it was a rather disappointing experience. The quantity of crisps was minimal, akin to that of feathers, and the overall eating experience was comparable to consuming concrete. I will not be purchasing them again, as they represent a waste of money
