After seeing all the bad reports, I was extremely concerned. However, since requesting a visit, we have been allocated Steve, who arrived an hour after his phone call. He provided two extremely useful items and has organised two safety products to be provided in the next 10 days. Thank you Steve Cantrell. You were professional and helpful on your visit. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Don't use this company out of choice. Essex medequip took over the responsibility of my stair lift in June.For the past 6weeks my daughter has continually phone Essex Mediquip and head office. My urgent emails have been ignored or not acknowledge. The lift needs to be removed still on going. Moving in a few days. Very poor customer service.

Arranged an emergency collection for my father Cedric Barnett’s items as his house is sold. They told me they were coming to collect on Monday 30th October and that I would get a time slot on the Monday morning. I got said time slot for between 11.45am - 3.45pm. I received a text message saying the driver would be 5 minutes away at 3.30pm. Well that was a lie because he didn’t even come. I have now being harass by Medequip on Tuesday twice and today once. Why can’t you just do your job and collect when you’re meant too. I’m not calling you back. I’m not going to chase for another collection

Really pleased. Slight delay in delivery but the guy who sent everything up was GREAT. Explained clearly how everthing works and what to do if they don't work. My mother was very stressed out but more relaxed after it was all explained. Thank you
The reason the NHS are broke
Arranged next day delivery for my father so he can come out of hospital. They could only offer a time slot of “Friday” so I took the day off and didn’t get paid. They delivered the wrong item.
Rearranged delivery for Tuesday. Still can’t give me a specific time and I simply can’t afford to take another day off so asked for an hours notice so I can get there. They’ve not bothered to call and yet again no delivery. Surely when your job is logistics, basics like time slots which are efficient is a simple requirement. All they’re doing is robbing the NHS of taxpayers money and denying people of the dignity of coming home for a few days to die.
Company should be re-named CBA
Advised by text of 4 hour time slot (as collection from vacant property) then get text 3 minutes before arrival (2 hours BEFORE the 4 hr timeslot) when they know we live ten minutes away, and should be phoning us. When we arrive 10 minutes later, they've gone. Employ staff that care or your business will close.

Her tires are bald on her powered wheel chair "sorry, you'll have to wait 3 months" it's now Autumn, it'll be mid-winter before she gets tires with grip.
The stopping distance at full speed is over a meter, without factoring in her ataxia- "all wheelchairs are like that, we'll tighten up the brakes" (they are electrically controlled with solenoids)
She mentions that she had a child sat on her lap and he kicked the joystick- "you aren't allowed to have anyone on your lap on the wheelchair" she's a severely disabled, terminally ill mother to a 3 and 5yo. He told her she's not allowed to pick up her own children.
She has fusion of both ankles so the footrests that came with the chair are incredibly uncomfortable, the last chair had a single footrest with a strap to hold her feet in place made from toughened plastic. "you can't get a single footplate and they can't be made of plastic" the footplate on her last wheelchair was single plate, full plastic and was ok'd by her OT and 2 specialists and fit by Millbrook whom were sadly taken over by this company.
Sadly I couldn't be with her during the assessment so i couldn't completely contradict the abject lies my partner was told by this firm and she is too timid to argue with a stranger who thinks it's OK to browbeat someone into not receiving the things she needs and is entitled to
Wrongful firing and misleading management
Ive had my training recently in the warehouse part of the job. Everything was great and all but i went out to smoke outside the building, got shouted at by a manager because i wasnt allowed to smoke outside. I wasnt told this and i wasnt told that there was a designated area for smoking. He put me on my final warning which i accepted and said i wouldnt smoke anywhere but the smoking area which i was not informed about. So the day ends and im at my house and i receive a call saying ive been fired… this management is very misleading as they said right before i left that i will do training the next day. Being fired for smoking outside the while building while not being informed that there a smoking area is crazy to me and i hope the management gets sorted out for this wrongful firings.

I have had to chase Medequip Dorset 4 times for a price for an emergency alarm for my 98 year Mother, but no-one ever gets back to me as they say they will. It seems as though they cannot be bothered with small private enquiries, instead they concentrate on large contracts with Councils etc. The Manager is forever in meetings and other staff seem woefully inadequate in answering customer enquiries. I was offered a 'basic' price by the last person I spoke to, but given he didn't take down my requirements, what was the point....
I have now given up with this dreadful service, and am going elsewhere.
Crap service
Crap service. My elderly Mother was due to have a toilet frame and bed frame delivered after being discharged from hospital. First time we waited they didn’t turn up, 2nd time they say they delivered the goods, but they were not delivered to my Mothers home as I was there waiting. This is the 3rd time now we have received a text to say it will be delivered today - BUT again it has not arrived. Useless company!
I called out-of-hours service because…
I called out-of-hours service because my bath lift stopped working. Out-of-hours service told me that they don't cover my area call the next morning the main line. So I did... and the lady told me it will be fixed in 7 working days. When I asked that should i stay dirty she told me "Maybe take a sponge bath". Thanks for NOT helping me. I am not using the bath lift because it is my hobby or I want to. Unfortunately, I need to, but 7 working days to fix it. I mean... come on!

Medequip connect run the alarm service for my 103 year old mother. Previously the company running this (set up 10 years ago by social services) was Careline but this was changed in April 2023 when a representative from medequip called at my mothers to install the new equipment and provide her with a new alarm pendant I was not informed this was being carried out. Previous company always kept me informed.
On July 4th my mother had a fall she used her alarm.
Responder called but at no time was I informed as should have been the case.
Mother is terrified of going into hospital apparently told responder she was not hurt . She was lifted from the floor and put onto a sofa an ambulance was not called. Responder then left.I was told mother did not want an ambulance called out but when I questioned her she told me she could not remember.
When her carer arrived 2 hours later an ambulance was immediately called as my mother was crying in pain.My mother had broken her hip and has had to have surgery.
Cannot believe this company did not bother informing me that she had fallen as I would have insisted that the responder called for an ambulance and surely seeing how frail my mother is any fall in a person of that age should require an ambulance to be called. I complained to the company at the time and also social services. Do not accept this company to provide alarm services for your loved ones.

Absolutely awful service fitting equipment. A simple bedroom grab rail has been crudely fitted with ill measurements . The rail cannot serve its purpose as my husband cannot even put his hand on the rail properly because there is almost no gap between the window sill and the rail.
I can’t even rate the service as a 1 as it’s completely inadequate
So not only have I got breeze block marks on a newly decorated bedroom wall , I’ve got crude fittings. So the whole lot is coming off! Why bother suppling the public with a service that clearly lacks integrity and uses unskilled fitters?
Terrible service
Have had to wait in four days in the last two weeks for two items. So far, one has been delivered. They didn't even put the other item out for delivery today. Did they call us? No. I called them - they told me a time, it was on its way, they said - I phoned them later when they never turned up. Apparently it wasn't on the van in the first place. Apparently, it takes two staff to fit it and only one was available. Why didn't they call us this morning to say it wasn't coming? Disorganised and pays insufficient attention to needs of customers.

Waited in all day to have a bath lift delivered and when it came there was no charger.
They hadn't even bothered to check there was one in the box.
So I know I have to wait in all day yet again for them to decide to graciously and kindly bring me the damn charger.

Nrs are just a total joke and probably only got the contract because of how awful they are. Read the reviews on trust pilot. Please please please Medequip find someone else coming back to the NHS. i’m not referring to just one incident it’s money you should read my review on trust pilot that will let you know you have to come back to the NHS. Good luck with your future endeavours

Worse customer service!! Total lies!!
Got a call last week to book delivery. Was told I will get a text msg on the day for timing.
Guy just turned up mid morning to deliver cushion but had no idea of chair.
Rang office and got told someone will deliver in 4 hrs today.
Took a day off to take delivery of chair!
Rang 3 times today from 8am to 5pm.
Was told it will definitely be delivered today as urgent. Was told 4 hrs special delivery. Lie after lie!
Now they expect me to take another day off
