Found an old camcorder tape that had memories of my dad, unsure of who to convert it to digital format. I reached out to Mo after seeing their adver sign from the road.
A pretty quick turnaround and Mo called me to say it was ready to view, I think it took about 2 days instead of the 5 days he mentioned. He gave the link to download and there it was, old and priceless moments viewed again after 18yrs. I could pick up the hardcopy afterwards.
Very reasonable price as well. Now I'm on the look out for those old tapes!

Converting material from a 60 year old tape recorded at a very slow speed
I have a 60 year old magnetic tape recorded at the very odd - and very slow - speed of 15/16" that I wanted transferring to digital (mp3). Despite the unusual speed, MediaSOS produced the goods without any problems. Very pleased to have this historic material in digital form!

Media SOS completed the work fast and kindly called me on the phone to clarify how the job was going to be done. I had 3 cassettes transferred to CD. I paid more for one tape to be done with another company than what I paid with Media SOS. The service was good value for money

Complete rip offs - Avoid at all costs
Complete rip offs, my mini dv tape got jammed and snapped, and the company had the cheek of telling me that the tape was mouldy and it needed 'professional treatments' which would cost £300 plus the recovery cost of £30 per hour for the material to be transferred to MP4. They also said this process might take 6 months !!! Avoid this company like the plague..... I have gone to another company for this service.

However, without physically examining the tape, it is challenging to accurately determine the extent of the issue, and it's possible that people might mistake the reflection for mold. All our prices are online, transparent, and public.
Our specialized treatment is reserved for severe cases like mold or Sticky Shed Syndrome (SSS) and involves considerable expertise and resources. The time it takes is currently at least a month, but please note that we are often fully booked for this service, so the actual timeline depends on when we receive the order. We aim to be transparent with our customers and always inform them before proceeding.
