I had the NuProdux travel commode and…the most recent version is just not useable.
I had the NuProdux travel commode and shower chair without wheels for about 9 years. Then as it wore out we got the same style with casters and lock wheels and it lasted well for about another 9 years. We travel a lot and now with the spouse totally retired we are checking off the bucket list faster. The arms started collecting water and while we were in Australia after a 16 day cruise and 3 days in Auckland we really needed a new bag for the old one to get home so bought a cheap Samsonite in Sydney. So before a 14 day cruise starting with 3 days in Barcelona then ending with another week to actually see a bit of England we really needed this new chair to work well for us. Other than putting the new travelling commode shower chair in a carry on size and that makes no sense to me. That is where you store underpads/chux if there is room. It is a very tight fit and more difficult for my husband to put together. My user complaints? These chairs have always been checked free in the US and western Europe as a medical bag and so no fee. Why compress them more? I like the solid padded back rest because it dries fast for packing, is easier to assemble and does not sag after one use. The seat foam is rough on older butts. Really rough. Never a complaint on the other two about skin issues but this new one...I should have tried more than just making sure we could put it to gather before the trip. I know, no returns. But when we get home if the new arms fit to the old chair I'll be calling to order the older bigger suit case. If they don't fit then I'll buy more of the old arms because of the current leaking and a bag. Why would you make this a carry on when most paras travel alone and cannot carry two bags while airports will check that bag free of charge and then as a quad we take 1 or 2 large bags depending on where we are going. But my butt looks like I was dragged on my rear through the mosaic cobbles of Funchal in Madeira. I am 5'7" and not exactly my old Army weight like I was the first 10 years but at 27 years as a full-time chair user I am also not obese other than the charming quad guts that comes with no abdominal muscles. I would not recommend this chair to anyone in its current format. Even the way the back of the chair seat pieces are configured are a tailbone's nightmare. The way the arms are attached also tends to make them tilt down when I put any weight on them to adjust things. Oh, and the foot rest height is fixed based on how high you adjust the legs for each commode's height. I never noticed this on my last chair so I think looking at it the leg rests are shorter to start with so if you are tall you might want to measure current chairs and talk to the company. I had way too much weight toward the rear of the seat between the saggy back and long legs with knees up too high. For $1,400 USDA this is no bargain.

Joe Quaisar of Home Health Pavilion is an incredible equipment vendor/provider and resource! He is professional and consistent. During our school's monthly equipment clinics, Joe takes his time with each of our students, ensuring that they are receiving the best equipment for their specific needs. We have successfully ordered wheelchairs with custom molds, standers, gait trainers, strollers, classroom chairs, activity chairs and various accessories through Joe and HHP. He always is willing to make adjustments and repairs during the clinic visits as well. He goes above and beyond to consult with the families and practitioners at the school to ensure everyone understands the process in ordering the equipment and what is required by their specific insurance carriers, in order to receive the equipment in the most timely manner.
