BULK REFUSE COLLECTION

Great experience with booking collection with receptionist and fast collection I informed the receptionist that it would be on wall under my balcony 1.5 foot high.
On day of collection was different as the collectors complained that it was not kerbside.
It was at a hight that they slide it onto the truck instead of lifting.
In my days as a DUSTMAN (refuse collecter) as it is known as now we collected from where we were asked even tower blocks.
Now adays all these refuse collecters do is moan even when I put a small broken plastic storage box in the eurobin/palladin and the refuse collecters took it out and said it was bulk rubbish.
What happened to just tipping the bin and crushing it.

Ruthless bureaucrats working in the PCN…

Ruthless bureaucrats working in the PCN department.
I enquired about repayment options after receiving the same penalty multiple times (no right turn Orchard Street - I used to use that road and was on autopilot) and I was ignored. They were very prompt to come back confirming that my appeals were denied, but silence when I pleaded for time to repay.

Horrendous..my father at 90 has been waiting for a bed over three days..the staff are running ragged and still in no ward.

You CANNOT GET THROUGH to the Emergency department,as I tried over 7 times in an hour.

No one is picking up the calls, not bothered or care

He has had to sit in reception whilst they do tests or don't bother....nightmare..
How can you keep a 90 year old man for three days without a bed ..

I am very angry ,as any parents should not be treated this way!

Why are the elderly treated this way?
Why is there not a ..

WARD FOR THE ELDERLY ..they of all require some dignity...it's time to change this NHS mess
Bleeding. With the government too busy too care
Unacceptable.

A tough task being handled well

Medway council has a tough job to do but you can feel the change of leadership already making a huge difference. I rely on adult social care for my own disabilities and my father's dementia too.
Their housing is well maintained and it is easy to get help if required

New scam Council property development…

New scam Council property development on the old Strood riverside offices/steam engine wks. They are the majority shareholder of the Development Company. The glossy architect view is similar to what was built opposite side of the Medway river. Residents in the luxury flats/town houses will be ruefully aware of the mandated cul de sac street area full of affordable housing units. Its easily recognised by the shabby run down appearance, untidy front gardens, rubbish , old furniture etc MC have an uncanny ability to ruin everything they touch - ever since they spitefully neglected to renew Rochester City charter

This year's Rochester Market and Children Con of a Christmas Village

This year's Rochester Market and ESPECIALLY the Children's Christmas Village -> absolute con of the festive children's attractions that compares only to the "Willy Wonka" shambles experience, in Glasgow in March this year. For us, two adults and two children it was £40 not only wasted BUT actually stolen under the guise of a festive children's attraction, which left us feeling nothing short of being conned out of money.
However, the Glasgow event was facilitated by a private provider, while the Christmas Market in Rochester and its attractions are facilitated and overlooked by the Medway Council/ the Events Team.
We visited the market on Saturday, 30 November, its second day this season.
"Children's Christmas Village" was going to be the main attraction and adventure for our 9-year-old daughter and her best friend. The event's description online promises all that:
"Sat amongst the vibrant Rochester Christmas Market, Mrs Clause and her elves are working hard to bring your children a magical Christmas experience that includes a Christmas story in Mrs Clause’s snug, crafting their own Christmas decoration in the Elves’ workshop and decorating a festive sweet treat to take home.
To start this magical festive experience, the children will be greeted by a band of Santa’s best elves who have travelled all the way from the North Pole to spread the festive joy.
After meeting Santa’s elves, the children will be guided to Mrs Claus’ snug, where she will read them a magical Christmas story before they begin the next part of their adventure!
Once the children are getting into the festive spirit, they will get the chance to go into the Elves’ workshop – here they can choose and decorate their own Christmas decoration that they can take home with them as part of the experience.
To finish the experience, the children will enter Mrs Claus’ kitchen, where the elves are baking up a storm of festive goodies, ready to be decorated with their choice of toppings, to then be wrapped and taken away for a festive treat." NONE OF IT IS ACTUALLY TRUE. Not in the sparkly, amazing way it is presented, and obviously, there are no photos to base your decision to book it on.
The facility is very poorly organized, in three tents, with some Christmas trees and furniture, set in such a way that it looks more like a playdate workshop and in no way a Christmas children's attraction. Mrs. Claus is doing her best to be entertaining but her script & the surroundings of her "snug" are hardly magical or jolly. There are Christmas trees and a white fireplace without a fire, but it appears surprisingly disappointing and rather empty. And there was no "band of eves to great the children, there was one elf standing outside, and then another one coming to fetch us, and that was it. The elves lacked any traits of skillful performance and did not have even a trace of makeup, appearing more like magical creatures and less like just dressed-up people, not knowing how to be the elves.
The disappointment was even bigger in the transition from Mrs. Claus snug to the Elves' workshop... Quiet white tent, with some decorated Christmas and a few elves not knowing at all how to entertain their little visitors. Children are supposed to create here their Christmas decorations, with the elves. The decorations were simply cut out of paper, small Christmas trees, with some stamps and stickers, and some colorful felt pens; in fact, we prepare better for craft days at home. That was such a poorly prepared and supplied activity, with no promised CHOICE of decorations, that poor paper Christmas tree, created without the help of the elves, because they did not know how to be funny, festive, and magical for the children, and were engaging in some casual conversation with the parents. All very quiet, with bare, cold tables, we all seem to be pretending that it is all great, for the sake of the children.. Then, the elves led us out and into their "amazing busy Christmas kitchen:.... oh, for goodness sake, what a marvelous con,,! It was actually empty, just one cupboard and one piece of other furniture, in the company of a few bare tables, with no little chairs for the little visitors, and with 3 elves looking bored and puzzled, as they were told that only one Christmas cookie was needed for that visit, while there were three children, two of ours, and one more little girl, with her mum and another adult. The tables were bare, with no craft on them AT ALL, the elves were just the adults in costumes, poorly attending to their little (and adult) visitors, and the said Christmas sweet to be decorated was just a small Christmas tree-shaped cookie, and some tubes of food decorations, with a small bowl of a few sweets to be stuck on the cookie.
We should all be offered a refund for such a con of a festive attraction.

Medway council

I am complaint to Medway council for last 3 years. For noise bonfire from my neighbour
After I am writing diary to them and have cctv about bonfire and noise
They have come to my house and they not interested in doing anything fix the problem
I have showed them the evidence and they said not interested they can't do nothing about the problem
They said to take action with civil law against my neighbour
They do not care about environmental damage my neighbour has caused for last 3 years more 200 times in the back garden
I have done a complaint but really they are not interested
My neighbour still carry on with noise and bonfires like nothing has happened every week still reporting but nothing is been done. The council do not care about mine and my wife's safety and welfare and letting me deal with this situation alone

Hope on the horizon.

Have been mightily impressed with the new Labour council and all the measures they are putting in place to improve the absolute mess of the previous administration… just look at all the previous reviews!!
Gonna be a difficult road with the money pressures, but I’ve seen the leader and mayor at lots of meetings and events for the local community, and there seems to be real change happening for the better. They’ve even repaired a wall I’d been banging on about for ages! Good luck to them, glad to see some hope on the horizon.

Insousient or incompetent?

Insousient, incompetent, legalised money launderers with about the most risible and absurd 'Serving You' as their tagline. Yet, they have failed me on every single occasion that I have contacted them and provide little or no service. 'Serving You to the absolute minimum' might be a better tagline.
