I bought a Lenovo p780 phone from merimobiles at 5.3.2014. and it arrived at my local post office on 24.3. all that via Singapore post, 5 days out of 19 were spent on internal merimobiles order processing. I got the phone with a broken touchscreen and reported the problem immediately to merimobiles, the response from their techsupport was very slow so after a couple unanswered e-mails (a few of them did get answered after all) I started a dispute on paypal. Right after I started the dispute they have become much much more responsive - it took them just 15 minutes to send me a response and i received a couple of more e-mails in the next two days. The excuse from the tech support guy for not answering my mails was - his internet connection was down :))))
The end result of all that was the fact that I got my money back but I had to pay for return shipping and also some 70 $ of customs and VAT that of course were not refunded.
My final opinion about merimobiles is that they are common crooks, if there is any problem don't count on their tech support, the only language they understand is "paypal dispute"
This was the first and the last time I have ever bought anything from merimobiles and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone out there.

I have been purchasing phones from Merimobiles for a few years now and I am always satisfied with their services. Just received the Mlais M9 and it is an excellent phone. Octacore and with all the things you might expect from a brand phone that you pay $ 500 more.!!! This is my second Mlais but have bought from Merimobiles for quite some time now.
They have an outstanding service and, afetr a few years dealing with them you can't help but to become a friend.
Jay and Ace have been ever so helpful but so did everyone else in the Company. This a place where you can trust to have a very good service all the way up to the after buy service. Buy with confidence.

I ordered a Lenovo phone from Merimobiles on March 4, and selected Singapore Post which was announced as a "recommended shipping" method.
Merimobiles refused to ship the phone until I pay them another $15 for upgrade to DHL express shipping. 3 days later they had finally managed to send me a Paypal invoice and marked the order as "shipped" with a DHL tracking number.
DHL tracking said "shipment information received" but nothing else happened. After 11 days and several (not very helpful) messages to Merimobiles, they blamed the delay on DHL. But suddenly there was a new tracking number, and this new shipment was prompty processed and delivered to me by DHL within 3 days. So finally I received my phone 17 days after the order (of which 14 days were lost in Merimobiles's internal processing), 15 messages back and forth, and $15 extra fees.
Every $ you save at Merimobiles, you lose in quality of service.

When I bought a phone from merimobiles, I was quite scared, given that its an unknown company with no offices in Europe. But I was genuinely so impressed. The phone arrived after a few weeks.

After 2 more weeks the phone had a technical fault- I again was worried, and explained the situation to merimobiles. But they happily agreed to replace the phone (after I returned the broken one) and the phone has been working well ever since. I now have a much better phone then I could afford in Ireland. I would however add a word of caution: firstly, import charges can be very high (I paid €50 in tax for a €200 phone) and, the entire process of returning the phone and getting it replaced took about 2 1/2 months, which is quite awhile. But overall I would recommend them, especially if you want to save a bit of money.

About my order the Galaxy S4, I am satisfied with the quality of the phone and its delivery, although I encountered difficulties in programming the French language for device applications, but for this you can count on the help of customer service, and particularly Ace has that I thank for his assistance and recommended solutions and to listen on customer satisfaction and remains at your disposal if needed.

I bought a phone from Merimobiles.com over 2 weeks ago. Having placed the order I inquired about the status of my order. I was then told that they didn't have the phone in stock. I asked for a refund and was persuaded to wait a couple of days to see if the phone could be sourced. After 2 days of waiting I asked for an update, and was told that the phone was in stock, but that my card needed to be verified. So, the next day I gave them my number to verify on, low and behold, no phone call. Talking to them on their live chat system, I was told that the phone was out of stock. ("It's a hot selling phone", I was told...hmmmm....).

Accepting the dubious claim I asked for a refund. It has been over two weeks since I ordered a phone I believe they never actually had in stock, and I still don't have a phone, or a refund. It's frustrating because the money I have tied up with them is to be used to replace my non functioning phone.

The bottom line to this review is to warn that they sell phones they don't actually have. While I appreciate that it can be risky to buy lots of stock that may turn out to be unsellable in a months time, I find the lies and length of time it has taken for a refund entirely unacceptable.

Customer service can be hit and miss. Sometimes I'd speak to a helpful agent, other times I'd get lies.

BUYER BEWARE, if you don't have enough disposable cash to cover waiting absolutely ages to be refunded for a transaction that never should have taken place, avoid this store.

Perfect after sales service too

I ordered a Lenovo A850 from merimobiles on 2nd Dec 2013 for $153 USD after checking out feedback since they are a Chinese company. They have generally positive reviews other than cheap Chinese tablets that break down, but I wasn't ordering one of those, mine was a decent brand name so I figured I would be safe. Fast forward to it's arrival on the 19th Dec and on first boot up it has a flickery screen, which over a course of hours degenerates to only a tiny bar on the top being visible. I contact support on the 29th to give the Xmas period time to wind down, no response for over a week. I then file a PayPal dispute, I get a reply within a matter of hours.

It's took til today to get to some sort of conclusion, I finally have an RMA PDF to print out and return. However here is the important bit, to ship back the phone to China from the UK will cost $109 USD (they forbid the use of couriers, making it vastly more expensive) and they state they will reimburse you $25 USD if you choose replacement (and they deem it DOA), but not if you choose refund, then you get nothing.

No option they offer will end up with me having a working phone at a price I couldn't have got it for here in the UK from an importer, with a proper warranty.

The three options I have are, RMA it, and choose replacement, which I will be out of pocket by $84 USD and months of waiting for a possibly working phone. RMA it and choose refund, but be out of pocket by $109 USD and a waiting time of months while they check 'DOA' status by shipping back to the manufacturer. Leaving me with option three, suck it up, be $153 USD out of pocket, without a massive amount of hassle, which is pretty much the option they want you to choose.

I think I'll choose the suck it up option, put my web design and SEO skills into creating a website to highlight these practises so users can make an informed decision when they search for feedback on merimobiles.

I purchased a phone through this company which sadly became defect due to a problem with the LCD screen. Luckily, this happened within the three month manufactrers warranty, so I sent the phone to MeriMobiles in China where the phone was further sent to the manufacturer, who unfortunately did not feel like repairing the phone without charging me 86$.
However, through contact with costumer service and MeriMobiles' manager, the problem was solved by MeriMobiles having to pay for the repair - undoubtedly a sad situation for MeriMobiles as a company, but what this shows me is that at least MeriMobiles take their costumers seriously when it comes to solving their problems.
I am so happy that MeriMobiles decided to pay for the repair, even though I do not believe it was their job to do in the first place, but in fact the manufacturer of the phone.

I do recommend this company due to their low-price high-quality smartphones and their intentions of satisfying their costumers.

I was also most pleasanty surprised by the quality of support from especially the chat-supporter on MeriMobiles' main webpage and the help and response I got from the manager.

I highly recommend writing to the chat supporter if you have any questions when buying your product as this may save you some time and confusion.

Further, the phone I purchased WAS WAY BETTER than what I had thought it would be.

Merimobiles was the best find i made recently and made an excellent purchase. It is Huawei G700 Dual Sim. All my queries was very well answered by there Customer Services team before i made my purchase. I was bit skeptical and wasn't sure if the phone will work in UK. I was very well assured by John (from customer serivces team). As my phone was not rooted, i was been very well guided by Mr. Ace from Technical Support team.

Hi my daughter recently bought a phone but not from Merimobiles & when I was looking at some I was able to live chat and ask some questions about the phone I wanted and I also asked about the phone that the daughter had bought as it was not rooted and it didn't have play store loaded to download any games or anything. The person I was chatting with said just send an email to merimobiles support and they will be able to help you. I did that and the support was overwelmining to help me with a mobile phone that was not even bought from Merimobiles. Merimobiles are there to help the people that have purchased products from them and also so that have not. I can not thank Merimobles enough for there support and recommend them highly for anybody that wants to purchase there products. I have since bought several phones from them and feel very confident that the product is very could and it feels great to know that Merimobiles will be there to help when needed.
