Great experience

Went yesterday, started from Seacombe due to parking. Sadly the 1st ferry was delayed due to mechanical issues. This was quickly rectified and we caught the next scheduled trip. Massive praise to Tegan the young lady on Seacombe reception who kept us updated throught the slight delay. Overall though what a fantastic experience, very informative and learned a few new things.

'City Explorer' sightseeing bus

We took the 'City Explorer' sight seeing bus and was very happy with commentary provided on the tour by Eve. It was both very informative and Entertaining from stories about 'King Victoria' to tales of 'Dickie Lewis'...take the tour well worth it.

Scattering of ashes in the Mersey

My family and I arranged to go on the ferry on 27th August to scatter my father in laws ashes. The booking process was easy and the kindness, compassion, and professionalism shown by everyone on the day from the gentleman who sold us our tickets to the crew on the ferry was amazing.

To scatter the ashes we were taken to a private area at the back of the boat where we were given some time to reflect before the boat stopped just off the new Everton Stadium where we threw in the ashes and some flowers.

As the ferry’s engines restarted the horn was blown which was a nice touch.

Thank you to everyone involved in providing this opportunity. It meant a lot.

Hard working operational staff but…

Hard working operational staff but Customer care poor

Insists on paper tickets for pass holders however ticket office at seaconbe is closed from 4:30pm

Trying ringing them get through to a general call centre whose staff have no idea of the workings of jersey ferries

Ferries cancelled and customer centre unaware and/or ill prepared. E.g no replacement buses

Daily commuters bottom of the pike prefer day trippers where they can make more money

Shocking Eurovision cruise.Zero service…

Shocking Eurovision cruise.Zero service as they were too busy having a great time.Mersey ferries are a terrible company.Didnt take any of my responses on board at all.All they care about is there own profits.AVOID them.Read the terms and conditions.Even though I had put very valid points across they still refused a refund. It was so bad.Had wrote a follow up email asking if they are part of STAR so I can put a complaint though with them but alas no reply. The boat was meant to be decorated in a Eurovision theme. There we're Eurovision stickers on the floor was there reply.Honestly words can't describe the embarrassment of this event

The boat was very run down, dirty toilets. The most worrying part is that no safety announcements were given out.

Staff were rude and at one point slumped over the bar.

What was promised as drinks and snacks available turned out to be a selection of 6 sandwiches on offer and a couple of bags of Crisps.

Small sandwich was 4 pound which was stale and vile

But remember don't dare complain because this company is never in the wrong!

The website is a scam

The website is a scam. Don't order your tickets from their website merseyferries , they'll charge your card but won't send you any tickets. I ordered 6 tickets yesterday at 9am. I was taken to a page which gave me their BK- number and the amount charged, but in the middle of the page it said - "suspicion of fraud back to main page". They money was taken straigh away. I called their customer service only to be told that they were all working from home and couldn't verify the order number and that somebody would call me back. 5 hours later having received no call, I called again and again was told that they would call me back. They did call me back and this time told me that the order number was incorrect and they couldn't locate my order by the email or name. They gave me an email to contact. I have now emailed them twice but still no response. They've taken £58 from my account with no trace. I've now reported the transaction to my bank and will be trying to return the money through them. Mersey Ferries are not picking up my calls anymore.

Ferry Tour - Ha!

Quite a while back I took the expensive tour ticket which took me along to Eastham then back up to New Brighton via Lpool and Seacombe back to Woodside. Yesterday I took my grandkids for the ride £28 all in all. The boat left Woodside down to Cammel Lairds and went across to Liverpool, then Seacombe and then back to Woodside. What a con! Its a normal ferry crossing with commentary, which includes commentary from the original 'tour' talking about places we never even got to see. The humidity in the cafe was horrendous and none of the aircons were switched on.

plain disappointing

the only weak point in an otherwise wonderful visit to Liverpool. It was simply an expensive and uncomfortable waste of time. everything about the boat is cheapo. the commentary appears as though it is read from a book, and is not understandable to a tourist. half the time is taken by loading and unloading of passengers at other stops. There is absolutely no ambience or attempt to create it.
