I have used Mersey Garages for a number…

I have used Mersey Garages for a number of years now. They have excellent customer services, they come to collect and return my car and the workshop are very helpful. They know my car, are able to get any parts needed quickly and the work has been first class.

Excellent service

Been going to this garage for years with my current car and previous car to have MOT and service done. Always very polite and they picked up my car and dropped it back when finished. Every time I call they always ring me back when they say they will. No problems with them so far.

Always been great with me

Always been great with me, reliable, they remind me of my services and MOT which is great for me with ADHD. Andrew calls to ask if I want booking in then they pick my car up. Lovely team and great job every time. Been using them for a few years and been brilliant. I am going to take my dad to them as he’s been getting ripped off by a mechanic and I have recommended him to use these guys instead

Do not recommend

Wouldn't recommend to anybody!
Ive been with them in the past and had work done and been to different garages for them to say work hasn't been carried out. They never got in touch to let me know about the MOT, their excuse was they couldn't get through but conveniently could get through to say the car needs paying for. The customer service is awful. Been spoke to by 2 different girls who both said different things, being charged for work to be carried out when there is no diagnosis and still expect money even though there's nothing online to state its only for 1 hour. Would not go again and highly advise against going as they are unreliable and untrustworthy

Been going for an mot and full service…

Been going for an mot and full service for 3 years the first time I went I paid them then 5 months later was in the car with my daughter car started shaking on the motorway the rac guy said have you had this serviced I said yes a full well he said an important part in the engine has worn away I had to pay him 200 pound to fix it also broke down again this year they said they fixed my exhaust turned out they just welded it to the top of my car instead of screwing it in the garage who I took it to told me I also have a leaking screenwash they haven't fixed in 2 years even though they told me they have they broke my water coolant cap so the guy at the garage said he can't remove it to fill it up because of the damage I believe they literally rush the job because of the vast amount of customers or just don't service it at all avoid at all costs I could have been seriously hurt with my daughter on the motorway because of these people luckily I could pull over safely enough.

Excellent

Excellent. Ive been using Mersey Garages for service and MOT for my last two cars. Very easy system ( car collection) and staff helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Do not use.

Do not use.

I was struggling to find a garage willing to do a tricky repair on my car. While the car was with the garage, MOT expired so I asked if they could do the MOT and a service once done.

Garage called me with extensive list of essential repairs as MOT failed, quoting me more than what the car was even worth - I was very close to scrapping it based on their claims. Had to pay a lot of money for the original job plus MOT and a service (which I thought would only be done after MOT was passed).

Then I looked closer at reviews and took it for a 2nd opinion, this garage identified only ONE essential repair and it cost over £1,500 less than what Mersey Garages quoted me. 100% avoid this garage - especially if you are a young girl, I wish I'd read reviews properly before I even went there.

I wouldn’t even give this one star but…

I wouldn’t even give this one star but I had to in order to write the review. My car was with them over a week, in that time I asked for a service, exhaust to be fixed which they said took days as they had to wait for the part. Told them the lights were a problem. They never fixed or even looked at the lights, exhaust done and presume service but charged me a whopping £721.00 never use this garage they are not to be trusted

Worst Garage ever

Worst Garage ever. Brought my car to fix the squeaking rear brakes, I was advised it was a 1-hour job, and I had to call them to ask if the car was ready after several hours! I was advised no need to change the breaks because breaks are still fine. Breaks still made noise. I checked the brake discs myself and saw that something was scratching the brake discs but ok. They didn't charge me anything ( the next day!!) because nothing was done. The very next day I cleaned my car and found a bill from the city council (under the co-pilot seat) because my car was parked in a restricted erea before my pick-up. Confronting the guys they advised they would take care ASAP (35£ bill) yesterday I received another note with a 70£ charge because the first bill was not paid. Went back to the garage and asked what was going on and I just was told “Listen, man, you parked your car outside our garage), so it's your fault? The note had a timestamp (8:20 AM from the day I picked up the car, but I went to the garage the day prior so this does not add up. I paid 70£ and that was the last time for me with MG.

Shame can’t give zero stars

Shame can’t give zero stars.
Didn’t return my car after an interim service. Kept it all weekend, didn’t return u til 11 am Monday, not even an apology.
Also wiped the memory from the cars on board computer so have to go through the whole register and log in process again. Claim to update your online service record. They don’t.
Not even that cheap.
NEVER USE MERSEY GARAGES!
