This is the best butchers in Cleckheaton. Their meat is fantastic, the service is excellent and the prices are competitive. A superb resource. A much better choice than buying meat from a supermarket.
Communication with this company is either slow or non-existent. A 90th birthday present for my father was to be 12 pork pies, from this well known organisation. They were our first and only choice due to the apparently excellent reviews and their suggested quality. I was told by email that I would receive the 12 pies, the middle of the week prior to my father's 90th birthday. All my father ever talks about are Yorkshire's Stand Pies. So, when I see no sign of the pies, two days before they are to be driven down his party in the South of England, I then get two emails - one from Metcalfes' ordering service with an amended update, "Cancelled Order" and another from PayPal with a "refund" notice attached to which was a pathetic note from Metcalfes saying that UPS couldn't find us. What a heap of baloney! Very disappointed indeed. Now I am left without a suitable present for my dear old father who only ever wanted Stand Pies. No offer of an alternative from Metcalfes, no telephone call. Absolutely disgusting service.
