AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL..
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL... avoid this is a complete scam and Reed are doing nothing
I bought a fashion design course with…
I bought a fashion design course with Metro Academy. I battled to access my course but luckily they sorted out my problem. But now I have completed my course and every email I have to send has come back as 'failed delivery'. I have been trying to contact them for a few months now.
I have contacted Reed and they gave me the same email that doesn't work.
I can not find them on the internet. Is there anyone who has a working email address cause I would really like to get my certificate.
Thanking you all in advance
I've read the other reviews and I agree the courses could be more accessible
I've read the other reviews and I agree, it was difficult to get into my course. I eventually was able to access through Bing (rather than Google) and only on my tablet. There were a number of emails between Metro Academy and me and the result was they offered me a refund, but by that time I'd gained access, so decided to continue with my course.
Once I managed to get access to the course, I really enjoyed it, although the instructions at the beginning of my course suggested that was an external examination at the end before the Certificate was issued - this was not the case. I gained my certification after the end of the final unit.
If Metro Academy are to continue with this course (and I notice Reed have got a different Proofreading course available now) then I think they need to make their courses more accessible on more platforms than Bing. They also need to rewrite the instructions to make it clearer when the Certificate for a course will be available. I don't know about any other courses, I can only share my opinion of Specialised Proofreading and Editing Online Course (that's what it says on the Certificate).
Complete Scam
Bought a course through reed.co.uk, received my online login details, but as soon as you click to enter the course it just gives me a buffering sign and thats it. I have not been able to access my course since I bought it about 6 months ago. Complete waste of time and money.
Sick of trying to view my course work
Sick of trying to view my course work, they have said its my PC and I need to update software etc etc. New PC and I have automatic updates???? still cant view my course work. Anyone had this experience and did you get a refund? Thanks :-(
Same experience as everyone else
Same experience as everyone else. No support or reply to a question on my course. No direction or instructions. Just a power-point presentation and nothing else.
I have filled out a survey on Reed too telling them they DO have a responsibility for people advertising on their site even though they say they don't. Lets see what happens...
Trade description rings a bell here even its only for £19 - a lot of £19's complaining on here I would say!
Really worth the price
For £19 the CSI course was great. The course was easy to go through and it was really informative. The only negative thing I have to say is that the course was a little slow at times.
These guys are scammers,avoid them
These guys are scammers,avoid them.
I think Reed.co.uk is collaborating with them.
I paid £14 for online management course via reed.co.uk and have still not be able to access the course.
I called them everyday since I paid for the course on the telephone number provided(01614010165) and they keep hanging up. They don't reply to my emails too. Every effort I made to reach them have proved abortive.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS
If I could give them a lower rating than this, I would. I paid for a course in 'Specialised Proofreading and Editing', but it was full of spelling and grammar mistakes! Part of the course was clearly plagiarised, as one of the units (Unit 6: Self-Employment) constantly mentioned *therapists* (e.g. "You may not get your free ad, though, if there are more than a few therapists in your area placing advertisements."). The course is completely out of touch with modern society, not to mention it looks like a complete mess.
It was advertised on Reed.com as a course that would result in some sort of qualification, but no such thing happened.
Just discovered Metro Academy was dissolved in 2015. Why is Reed.com still selling their horrible courses?!
bought the online course and could not …
bought the online course and could not access it at all, what a total scam and I trusted it because it was via the reed website
I was given login details 48hours as …
I was given login details 48hours as promised after i bought the course.
However, i cannot actually use the course because it never loads!
I have tried ringing numerous times however they keep hanging up on me, have just emailed.
Waste of time!
HUGE WASTE OF TIME! TOTAL SCAM! AVOID!
Paid for a course, never heard from the company, despite being told that in two days time they could contact me- this was from Reeds, where I purchased the course from. I feel badly let down.
AVOID!
Stay away
I paid £19 which isn't much for an online course and am still unable to access it. The company do respond to emails but it's impossible to log in etc etc.
Scam!!
I purchased a course from this company through reed.co.uk. I received my details 48 hours later as promised.
I then needed to speak to someone. I had a number so gave them a call. I was told "The person you need to speak to is with a client, can I take your number and get them to call me back" Yes that was fine, I left my number.
5 hours later I called back and was told the same.
That was Monday.
Tuesday I called and was told the same thing, left my number twice and no call back.
Wednesday I called and was told the same. I then told the person that is not acceptable and I wish to speak to Jacob (my "Contact Person"). The person on the phone then told me that this number was an overflow reception and not actually metro-academy.com and they just handle the calls and then email Jacob saying to call the person that just called.
Still no call from Jacb
Thursday I email "Jacob" and explained I needed to speak to someone and that no one is getting back to and with no other way of getting in touch I am concerned this is a scam.
I again called and was told the same.
Friday, I called same issue.
Friday afternoon I called and the line now rings 1 and is then dead.
I have been trying to contact them since but to no avail.
I have also had a refund on my course and my login details removed.
This company is a scam, do not use them.
