MEXC covered the scammer who stole my funds and then closed my case without resolving it

On 12 March 2024, I was defrauded of approximately USD 3,800 in EOS.

I traced the stolen cryptocurrency on-chain and established that the funds were transferred to an account on MEXC.

I immediately contacted MEXC and the Polish police. MEXC confirmed that they had identified the relevant account and that the funds/account had been frozen.

The case was later closed. MEXC did not return the funds and did not provide me with a satisfactory explanation for what happened to the frozen assets. Their correspondence also referred to information allegedly expected from law enforcement.

I subsequently pursued the matter with the Polish and Moldovan authorities. Both proceedings were eventually closed.

In March 2025 I filed a formal complaint with the Seychelles Financial Services Authority. Case reference: FSS-COMP-2025-039. The FSA subsequently stated that MEXC Global Ltd had not been licensed by the Seychelles FSA and that the entity had been struck off the Seychelles IBC register in August 2023.

I also submitted a GDPR data-access request to MEXC concerning my personal data and records relating to my case. MEXC did not respond to the request.

I have retained the blockchain transaction records, police documentation, FSA correspondence and the complete MEXC email correspondence.

I am publishing this review so that potential MEXC users can understand how my fraud case was handled after stolen funds were traced to their platform.

Биржа MEXC

There are scammers working there. I put my money in first. And they showed me that I make deals. When is my bill? I showed him $6,000, and they told me I had to pay $3,000. Insurance. I said that I didn't have that kind of money, they told me that I needed to withdraw funds and close the account. To do this, I needed to take out a loan, put money into an account, and withdraw it completely. Supposedly the leverage to pay. I still haven't seen the money. My money is in the account. I have all the screenshots of the correspondence. Receipts from the bank. What I transferred to this account as a result, my credit and bank cards are blocked. I can't withdraw the funds, they want me to take out 1 more loan..

MEXC Review – Not Safe for Trading

My MEXC review is negative because I had a very bad experience on the platform. Twice my Stop Loss on BANK/USDT didn’t trigger, and both times it caused losses that should never have happened. A Stop Loss is supposed to protect you, and when it fails like this it makes the platform feel unsafe and unreliable.

I contacted MEXC through the live chat and they forwarded my case to their support team. The support team told me it happened because of volatility and because my Stop Loss was close to the liquidation price, so I was liquidated. For me this is not a valid explanation. If my Stop Loss doesn’t trigger, the exchange is not safe for trading, regardless of volatility.

On top of that, MEXC advertises Loss Coverage, but I was never reimbursed for anything. They didn’t cover any of my losses and instead gave me an excuse. It feels misleading to promote a protection feature that they don’t actually honor.

Based on my experience, I no longer trust MEXC and I don’t feel safe trading there.

Very ambiguous application of risk…

Very ambiguous application of risk control restrictions. My account was restricted due to some alleged risk control issue identified by automated internal system. When I tried to understand what was the trigger, I was told that they will not disclose this information. Nothing helped and I still don't know what I have done to be restricted. Customer service is not helpful at all. No transparancy. No willingness to solve the problem that have created. Poor experience overall. Not recommended,

Funds not credited despite confirmed bank transfer – no proper Resolution

Review:
I had a very concerning experience with MEXC regarding a EUR bank deposit.

On 16.04.2026, I transferred €1,000 via SEPA to the payment details provided in the MEXC platform. My bank has officially confirmed that the transfer was successfully completed and the funds were delivered to the recipient account.

Important facts:

* The IBAN and payment details were correct
* A test transaction (€10) was successfully credited to my MEXC account
* The €1,000 transfer was completed and confirmed by my bank
* I provided the end-to-end reference and full proof of payment

Despite this, MEXC claims that no transaction was received and refuses to credit or return the funds.

The payment was processed through third-party providers (Finetix / Harmoniie SAS, now HEURO SAS), which makes the situation even more unclear and difficult to resolve. Communication has been slow and repetitive, without any concrete solution.

As a user, this is unacceptable:

* No transparency about payment processing partners
* No accountability when funds are missing
* No effective support or escalation

I have now initiated a bank trace, SEPA recall, and formal complaints through regulatory channels.

I strongly advise others to be very cautious when using bank transfers on this platform.

Optional ending (stronger tone)

Funds are traceable within the banking system, and this case appears to be a failure in reconciliation between MEXC and its payment providers.

SHAMEFUL

SHAMEFUL: MEXC stole my Space Odyssey rewards for $27,691 volume over a $1 voucher!
Review Body:
I am writing this to warn all high-volume traders about the unfair practices at MEXC. I participated in the Space Odyssey S5 event and generated a massive trading volume of $27,691 USDT, paying significant trading fees to the platform.
However, MEXC has DISQUALIFIED me from receiving my rightful rewards. Their excuse? They claim I received a tiny $1 "Loss Coverage" reward from a separate $10 volume task, and according to their "Rule 5," I cannot receive "similar" rewards.
This is a total scam for three reasons:
Massive Disproportionality: To deny rewards for $27,000+ volume because of a $1 reward is daylight robbery. It is an insult to loyal users.
Lack of Transparency: Their system allowed me to trade $27,000+ without any warning that I was already "disqualified" by a $1 voucher. They just wanted to collect my trading fees.
Conflicting Support: Their staff member (Aviya) confirmed my registration was valid on April 2nd, but now they are backing out.
I have contacted support multiple times (Work Order #20260314000286#), but agents like Hugo and Aviya keep giving robotic "Rule 5" replies without any manual review of the facts.
MY DEMAND: Manually review my case and release my Space Odyssey S5 rewards immediately. I generated the volume, I paid the fees, and I deserve my reward.

Unexplained Liquidation on MEXC – $150,000 Loss and No Transparency

I would like to report a serious issue regarding a liquidation that occurred on the MEXC futures platform.
On August 21, my position on the BOXCAT perpetual futures contract was liquidated. According to the information provided by MEXC, the liquidation was triggered when the Fair Price (Mark Price) reached my liquidation level of 0.0004651.
However, there is a major problem with this explanation.
At the same time this liquidation occurred, the actual market price of the asset was approximately 0.00020, and even the highest visible trading price was around 0.00028. In other words, my position was liquidated at a price that was more than 100% higher than the actual market price.
I repeatedly asked MEXC support to explain how the Fair Price could reach 0.0004651 while the market price was around 0.00020. Instead of providing technical data or transparent calculations, they kept sending the same generic responses explaining how the Fair Price mechanism works in theory.
MEXC claims that the index price is derived from their own spot market, but the problem is that the BOXCAT spot pair was later delisted, and they now say that historical spot data is no longer accessible. This means the price data that supposedly caused the liquidation cannot be independently verified anymore.
I also provided price data from other exchanges showing that no such price spike occurred anywhere else at the same time. Despite this, MEXC insists that the liquidation was normal and refuses to provide the index price data or calculation details used for the Fair Price.
As a result of this event, I suffered a loss of approximately $150,000.
After months of communication, MEXC still refuses to provide transparent evidence explaining how this price was calculated. Instead, they rely only on their internal Fair Price chart, which cannot be independently verified.
This raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness in their liquidation mechanism.
Until MEXC provides clear, verifiable data explaining how this liquidation occurred, I strongly advise traders to be extremely cautious when using this platform.
