Had a good purchasing and refund experience

Had a good purchasing experience with the Microsoft Store. Their refund policy for subscriptions is also good as I was able to cancel a subscription that was charged to me the same day and got a refund within a few days without contacting support.

Only reason why it's not a 5* is because you have to make extra steps in order to cancel.

Absolute garbage software

Absolute garbage software. Microsoft only exists off the back of other trash American companies such as Apple and Google. Cannot pay on the MSFS marketplace and cannot get help on the idiotic Zendesk. Bots rarely solve problems, and this is a good example. Ms have my money for the game though...

Microsoft store refund issues

I pre-ordered a game for £79.99, installed it on release day and played for roughly 30 mins, did not enjoy it at all and also the camera motion gave me motion sickness, looked into a refund and it certainly seemed my situation qualified so I requested one, I was told to wait roughly 72 hours and asked instantly to give a review of their service, after 4 or so days I looked into the status and found they had made a decision almost instantly without any notification sent to me, no refund and absolutely no way to challenge or pursue the decision, I had not used any of the extra digital content and was well within a reasonable window to try it out, to be clear I was going to spend the refunded money on a different product from the store anyway, but they decided to slam the door in my face and keep my money, what a great way to treat a customer after 20 years of using their services, I’m closing my account with them in response to this .

MS does not price match! Customer service sucks

I ordered a surface 4 laptop on 11/18 which got delivered in next 3 days with a promise of price match until Jan 2023. December 4th I contacted the online agent requesting for a 200$ reduced matching. The agent took all details and said price would be matched but instead of refunding 200$, sent an email for return of the laptop. So I contacted the agent on the phone and this one they said cannot be changed and I should return the laptop for full refund while ordering a new one. I told them that I don't want to return my laptop due to their stupidity, requested for 200$ price adjustment. They refused and offered to throw 50$ as a cause of inconvenience , which I refused. If this is what Microsoft does to its customers then I am petrified about other stores and businesses!!! BS

No one could answer my questions

No one could answer my questions. They just told me the the links. Talked to 2 reps and chatted with 2 reps. They were all completely useless. Only question I was asked was how much money did I have to spend. Whoa! Were they trying to get me to join some sort of cult?

Horrendous

Horrendous. They use UPS which has 74% one star rating on Trust Pilot. My laptop should have been delivered 10 days ago. I have chased Microsoft 3 times and UPS 4 times and still no parcel. Now have to wait for investigation to complete and refund. Hours wasted and no laptop. Thanks Microsoft, why not spend some of your billions profit on a decent service.

Surface Pro 9 for business with all the…

Surface Pro 9 for business with all the extras was the original order. I received the key board, mouse office 365 and protection plan, no Surface Pro 9. I called in to the Microsoft Store and it was a nightmare to get to anyone and when I did, they were not helpful at all. Now I am sitting on hold waiting on a confirmation so they can process a return. I would be out of business in no time if I treated my customers this way. I have only invested 6-8 hours of my time trying to get this resolved. No personal service and no one seems to care to do anything to help. I was still willing to accept a replacement Surface Pro9, their solution is for me to get a refund and then place another order. What a joke!

I experienced an issue ordering an X…

I experienced an issue ordering an X Box Series X on the MS online store. I attempted to pay for part of it using some vouchers/credits in my MS account. The payment page indicated that it had deducted the corrrect amount from my MS account and that the remainder would be paid with my bank card. However the receipt screen afterwards indicated that I was charged full amount, so I cancelled the order and contacted MS directly to order it with them directly.

Despite cancelling the initial order, receiving confirmation emails confirming cancellation etc, the MS system indicated that I had already ordered a Series X. As it's only one-per-customer, this meant I couldn't order another one due to this block on their system.

MS promised to resolve this issue after 24 hours so I could order. This turned into 3-5 working days; then another 3 working days; then another 24 hours. Eventually 2 weeks passed and MS just gave up citing "suspicious activity" relating to my account and that they would be closing the case. I ended up having to get a Series X elsewhere.

Very disappointed with MS. Absolutely awful service.

Absolute rip offs I've been a Microsoft customer for many years and recently I bought the new saints row from here 60 pound it cost me. The game is released unfinished and does not work, contacted Microsoft they said no refund because you played it. How do you know if a game works unless you play it out and out lunatics!!!!!!

Very Frustrating Delayed Delivery with No Resolution

Very frustrating. I ordered some expensive hardware and paid for next-day delivery as it was needed soon. All was confirmed with a due delivery date the following day.

The missing - crucial - piece was then quietly changed to a delivery date more than three weeks later, at a time when I was due to have left the country. The 'support team' on the phoneline were unable to offer any kind of advice or assistance.

I bought xbox controller series 2

I bought xbox elite controller series 2 for €190. Couldn't use it because one of the button didnt work. I rang customer service and I was offered a REPAIR!!!! not replacement not even refund just a repair for a broken device I have received. send it back 10 days later I got back repaired controller that I had have even used. Today 2 months later its got broken again. Guess what I have been offered? A REPAIR.!!!! Don't bother to buy anything from them. Terrible customer service that I have never experienced before with any company.

Devoid of service

My dad purchased a surface 7 while in pallative care and bought the suggested keyboard and mouse. He died a week later and I discovered that the keyboard they had sold him in the "bundle" was not compatable with the surface 7. When I explained the situation, Microsoft told me I had to return everything in order to then buy everything again with the correct keyboard. However, the nurses had gotten rid of all the orginal packaging except for the keyboard (funnily enough the only thing that needed replacing). This made the refund ineligible. It's a multi billion dollar company.

Do not order from Microsoft online

Do not order from Microsoft online. They are appalling and you will likely not get what you ordered. Getting a refund is a horrendous experience as well. Impossible to speak to anyone in support who can assist, days of phonecalls and promises to investigate the issue, but nothing is ever done. Ordered for next day delivery for an in stock item. Dispatch confirmation raised two days late which stays at 'sticker generated' on UPS as they don't ship the item to UPS. Happy to take your money, but will not fulfil the order. Once you try to cancel you just get passed around with promises to escalate the case, but nothing is ever done. Avoid, do not waste your money.

Feel hustled by salesperson in Microsoft Oxford Street, London

Love my new machine but feel hustled by the Oxford Street store salesperson. I bought a Surface Pro 7 in September 2021, and in a matter of weeks the Surface Pro 8 was released that you could buy at basically same price as my older model cost me. I should have been informed the machine I was buying would soon be outdated and very disappointed by this. I left a review on another site over 6 months ago that Microsoft ignored so leaving a few more now in other places so people know.
