The team and the lawyer is really helpful. Waiting times to connect to the customer support is quite low. Yes, it takes a couple of days for the lawyer to respond but that’s normal owing to the amount of rental issues.

I joined the association because I trusted the association's advertisement "answer within 48 hours" and by the time I was under time pressure to sign a contract and wished to have an answer explicitly about whether the latest Berlin's Mietdecke would apply to my rental contract.
But no. I got a reply only after 3 days. And the reply was simply picking out typos from my contract. Typos! Why on earth would I need to hire a lawyer to pick out typos? I can very well hire another editor for such work.
With despair, I immediately asked for a refund and termination of my membership, which is also guaranteed on their T&Cs for such request submission within 14 days since the contract's start. However, Mieterengel declined my request arguing that I "used" their service. Despite that's not the service they're advertising for (professional legal advice within 48 hours) but a service of only picking out typos after 3 days of waiting in line.
In the end, we came to a mutual compromise that they'll release me from the two-year contract binding but they'll keep the first year's fee. Which, to my dismay, I still accepted. Until just now, I realized they didn't only keep my 79 EUR's fee for the first year, they also terminated all the rights I have to the first year's membership, which I already paid for.
Long story short, I paid 79 EUR for a one-time "service" and got 0 help, except for the typos picked out.
