I went into Millets to get some walking boots for mountain climbing in Greece. Previously boots I bought did not last despite buying from leading brands. We discussed issues around boots and they selected a pair that were not only very fit for purpose, but are still going strong ! Great service

Very helpful staff
Alex was very helpful when I returned a pair of faulty Berghaus walking boots. They didn’t have a pair in stock but he arranged for a replacement to be delivered to my home and they arrived the next day.

Great customer experience in Millets
Great customer experience in Millets, Stroud. I went in on Saturday to buy some womens walking boots. The person who served me was extremely helpful (and very patient!) I couldn't make up my mind between the North Ridge ones and the Berghaus ones both great quality and very comfortable. I was actually allowed to take both pairs home with me and wear them around the house over the weekend, which was such a help. I eventually decided on the Berghaus ones and took the other pair back this morning. Again, a really helpful, friendly young man (Dee) served me. He certainly knew his stuff on walking boots and was so pleasant.
I told him about the awful experience I'd had in Mountain Warhouse - sales assistant didn't even look up from her mobile phone. I asked if a pair of boots were real leather and she didn't know - said she'd ask the manager when she came back, so I waited. Manager didn't know either and just served another customer, so I walked out. Dee (Stroud) said that wouldn't happen in Millets, because of their staff training.
Well done Millets Stroud! Great customer service, and excellent choice of boots, very reasonable priced.
