Business Grant's a shambles

We are waiting on a business grant since 7th April and it's now 25th. Our business is closed due to Covid and we have staff and Bill's to pay. The grant should have been issued quickly to help us get through this as insurance and furlough have also taken forever. You cant get hold of anyone to answer why it's taken so long. If you get put through to the department they immediately hang up on you. Its appalling service from a badly managed council.

Most horrible council in all developed countries

Most horrible council in all developed countries. A completely chaotic, greedy and mismanaged council. They will not spare a single opportunity to issue parking tickets even when motorists are not at fault. They raise council taxes every year and in return, citizens don't get anything. Extremely horrible and rude staff at their offices in Central Milton Keynes, especially the supervisor.

MK Council......🤬🤬🤬🤬

I will have to be reasonable when talking about this bunch but i really don’t want too. I’ve been a tenant for 20+ years and have nothing but issues. Trying to get repairs completed is impossible unless you are a non-working tenant on benefits. Recently, our fencing has collapsed yet again but we won’t get it replaced because we are working tenants. I was told we needed a new boiler over 18 months ago, it’s only just been replaced after I called and complained yet again.
Our original heating system was condemned many years ago and for over six weeks during the winter and over christmas, we had no heating or hot water and no one would help me. I ended up getting my MP involved. Our windows need replacing but I know nothing will be done. Our bathroom, plumbing and electrics are over 40 years old now. These things are supposed to be upgraded according to the “Decent Homes Standards”. But these do not apply to those of us who work for a living.
And even if you do manage to get a repair done, they will suddenly turn up without making an appointment as they all assume no council tenants actually work for a living and don’t get me started on the yearly gas appliance checks.
I feel as though i’ve been discriminated against all these years. And they’ve even been round the estate and cut down my plants and when I challenged them about it, they flat out denied it. But they are happy for people to fly tip everywhere.
And now I hear we are having to pay yet more council tax this year......for what I wonder?? MKC are the worst of the worst.

As an overseas tourist

As an overseas tourist, I had arrived at Jurys Inn late and jet lagged. With no hotel parking, I parked I the council parking across the road. I was a few minutes too late in paying my parking ticket next morning (I had actually thought the commencement time was an hour later than what it was - very early for a weekend) and council refused to budge in issuing me a fine. Makes you feel very sad and unwelcome. I will go out of my way to NEVER visit Milton Keynes again.

Milton Keynes Council refuse collection…

Milton Keynes Council refuse collection service is dreadful. The worst I've ever cone across. The refuse collectors must be lazy or visually impaired! On 4 occasions over the last 5 months they have not picked up any refuse from Wagstaff Way, Olney. I have called the MKC customer Services each time and was informed it will resolved within 48 hrs according to the SLA. This has not been done and the rubbish is left out on the road all week. When I called again and the same thing happens. Other neighbours on the street have the same proplem with these refuse collectors. I believe this service is outsourced to SERCO, a private company. All complaints can only be logged via MKC. Since they have used SERCO the service has seriously deteriorated.

I can't imagine a council worse than Milton Keynes Council. The council and their chosen repairs company, MEARS, are as useless as each other in getting anything done. I'm not just talking about my own experience, I hear it so many times on the radio too.

Are cars getting smaller or am i…

Are cars getting smaller or am i missing something, the roads around Wolverton are being narrowed to such an extent that i fear there will soon be many reports of accidents with cyclists being squeezed between cars and the new pinch points that have been put in, already the new kerb stones are covered in marks from tyres rubbing on them or is it that the council have so much money left from last years rates that this is a way of getting rid before the end of the financial year so that they can justify a rise this year ?, i suspect the latter because i cannot for the life of me see what possible purpose the multitude of roadworks are achieving apart from wasting money that could be better spent on filling in the thousands of potholes they claim the haven't got the money for.

Bare in mind this is clearly why people fly tip bcoz at them costs it's ridiculous in my opinion

Planning Team

Just dealt with Jenny in the planning team over some information I needed in connection with the sale of my property. Extraordinarily helpful , Jenny went out of her way to resolve an issue that had the propensity to delay the sale. Out of her way involved checking records that weren't requested , but solved the problem. Well done to you guys, the extra mile or three you delivered was beyond any call of duty and very much appreciated. Thank you.
