AVOID - top tips about minamark

TLDR: The men harass you, resident John, Animation Bolo - don't pay him, lifeguard Ahmed and Photographer Hasan.
The place is boring, run down and very smokey everywhere. Food is pretty bad, buy antinol.
Aya was the only nice one there. Mad max was fantastic for booking excursions.
Would never go back.

Very run down "resort". The only nice parts are the lobby and entrance. The staff annoy you constantly. Some of the animation team were awful. The German woman only talks to tourists to get them to write reviews while she's there so they can compliment here, she was shouting at the other staff members in front of guests and kept bothering me to write a review.

Bolo, left me at the club and said to make my own way back, didn't care for my safety!!! He said he thinks of me as a sister, but got his money and abandoned me there. Shameful! This Egyptian guy constantly tries to get tourist to go out clubbing at boring venues to make money from them, he lies and says that other people are going and that you'll get free drinks. He flirts shamelessly with every woman. A lot of the male staff bother the women. Mickey was nice. Aya was really lovely, always had a smile on her face, 5/5 for her.
The food made me throw up. Sometimes it was okay, but it was regularly part-cooked. All of the guests consistently take antinol for upset stomachs!
Ahmed the lifeguard and Hasan the photographer flirts with women all the time and they both kept asking me to leave the hotel with them.
There was a very old English man called John who constantly hits on the women, I would see him go up to every new woman and harass them. He's lived there for 8 years and is very, very creepy.
The animation shows were boring. The alcohol tastes bad. There is a Caribbean bar a few minutes away that is cheap and better. The hotel allows smoking in most areas. The beach was absolutely covered in smoke most of the time. Really hurt my lungs being there.
They only have one table for two at the main restaurant. The milk always had bits in, I bought my own and put it in the room fridge.

Mad Max from the beach excursion booth was great, very lovely, funny and books your trips with ease.
