How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
Firstly, this was an impulse purchase and I did not use the subscription. I do not recall signing up for auto-renewal and I missed the reminders, so I was subsequently charged another annual fee on 9 November.
I contacted customer support on 10 November, literally the day after the charge. During that conversation, customer service confirmed in writing via their online chat that a refund would be issued. That position was later reversed and the refund refused (I have the chat records).
While I accept responsibility for forgetting about the subscription, my understanding is that consumers have a 14-day statutory cooling-off period. I raised concerns around fairness and transparency with both Mindvalley and my credit card provider. These are principles reflected in UK legislation such as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. Neither party adequately addressed those concerns.
The overall handling of the cancellation felt rigid and policy-driven with little regard for the written assurance already given by Mindvalley’s own support team.
This experience did not feel service-oriented. There was no meaningful attempt to resolve the issue once payment was taken.
Expensive mistake and lesson learned. Always check for auto-renewals and take Trustpilot reviews seriously.
And imho, auto-renewals put people like me at a disadvantage especially when email inboxes are filled with marketing garbage nowadays so it's easy to miss any reminders.

Annual subscription refund denied. I can’t believe in this day and age that if you request for a subscription to be cancelled then if it’s renewed it will take a year and still be available to you? I don’t want it available and want to close the subscription. For context, Subscription cancelled on renewal, NO REFUND applied. Reported to ACCC in Australia. Beware as very little online protection available.
Note: I have reached out to Mindvalley at least half a dozen times on renewal and prior to taking complaint to ACCC. In every instance they have refused to refund any portion of the unused subscription. The reply below is fake to resolve, they have not refunded.

I was a member for a year, then got a charge for an auto renewal I wasn’t aware they automatically sign you up for. I contacted them when I realized the large charge on my credit card statement. They told me it was too late and there was nothing they would do. I asked them to please have some compassion as it is a financially hard time and I was not expecting this fee as I no longer used the app. Again was told they have rules and they can’t bend them. The company does not practice what they preach and the founder should be ashamed of his employees and their lack of compassion. I will write a review on every platform warning people against using this app! I have never written a review, let alone a bad one, but I feel this case warrants it!! I strongly recommend against using this company!

⚠️ Warning – Not a Trusted Site
This site is not trustworthy. Do not subscribe.
They automatically sign you up for an annual subscription, and after the first year, they renew it without any notification or authorisation request.
There is no refund policy, and cancelling is extremely difficult — I have searched everywhere and still cannot find a proper way to stop it from charging me again next year.
If this has happened to you as well, please give this a 👍 so others are aware.

I came to Mindvalley after 1 year dayli intensive Breathwork...my inervoice.
The Rest was couriosity.
After some months it became like a weapon to myself in a good way.....wich is growing year after year.
Mindvalley changed my everything.
Thanks for that.
Love
I landed on a page on Mindvalley titled “Free courses on personal growth and self-improvement”.
The call-to-action clearly said: “Unlock your free access.”
Clicking this button led directly to a sales page for a ~$300 course.
There was no free lesson, no free module, no free preview, and no immediate access to anything free.
Just a sales pitch.
Selling paid courses is perfectly legitimate.
Using the word “free” when nothing free is actually delivered after the click is misleading and unlawful.
But it looks like nobody complains.
This review is based solely on observable facts and wording, not on expectations or opinions.
I will NEVER buy anything from Mindvalley, just because I have been mislead, and even if -hopefully-, they have good courses for sale.

DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS. Unfortunately, I was scammed. They made a Black Friday sale offer for membership in which they offered to charge a years membership amount minus the cost of any remaining membership dollars. I had 3 months membership left on my current subscription so I should have been credited several hundreds of dollars as per their offer but they charged the full amount and flatly refused to refund the 3 months as per their advertised offer meaning that I was paying for 3 months membership TWICE. Their support contact flatly refused to refund the overcharged amount. Very dodgy, fraudulent and unethical behaviour. I have read numerous negative reviews from other people who have also been scammed. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS!
EDIT to Mindvalley’s reply. So are you going to organise a refund of the overcharged amount????? If not, why not???? Making hollow promises of fixing your systems for the future isn’t resolving the overcharged amount is it? Do the honest thing and REFUND ME IMMEDIATELY!!! 😡😡😡😡
EDIT REPLY TO MINDVALLEY I have sent numerous emails to your support address and this is how I was told repeatedly that you wouldn’t process a refund because your systems wouldn’t allow it! I asked you to do a manual refund only to be told you couldn’t do it!?? What a load of rubbish, of course you can do it. I’ve now contacted another person who initially also said they couldn’t do it and now is saying she will look into it. It was only AFTER I had wasted weeks of contacting your support that I posted this review to warn others about what happened to me. I will update when/if this other person actually refunds my money. What a shame for your company that I had to publicly shame Mindvalley to get any sort of attempt at resolution.
Edit to Mindvalley's latest response. I have emailed support (more times than I can count!) and I am still waiting and I still have no refund, nothing! What are you doing at your end to make support process the refund??
WOW WOW WOW What a scamming fraudulent company! After promises of sorting this out, I just received an email telling me that Mindvalley cannot process a refund due to systems issues (what a load of BULLSHIT!!!) even though they promised a credit for the remaining membership, they overcharged me for 3 months - hundreds of dollars!!! The messages they put up saying they are committed to making this right are BULLSHIT!!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY, YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!!
Further edit - Mindvalley just told me to go to Apple and ask them for a refund but I DID NOT buy the membership through Apple - I bought it DIRECTLY THROUGH MINDVALLEY!!!! They must think I am stupid??? They dodge and weave and make up any excuse to not refund the overcharged amount. Incredible incompetence or deliberate fraud? I think it's obviously fraud and from other bad reviews I have read very deliberate!! They got paid directly but cannot refund? I call BULLSHIT on that!!
Edit - I FINALLY got my money back!! Turns out they CAN actually refund directly, fancy that?!! They told me they couldn't refund through Apple - fair enough but when I pointed out that I paid them directly they finally processed the refund (yes, I had to tell them the solution). I have so many emails from them refusing to refund me on a "system problem" basis, it took me a whole month and more emails than I care to remember and I had to provide them with the solution. It seemed that for every solution they found a problem, not good for a company promoting good business courses!!!! I would give them no stars if it was possible.

I absolutely love Mindvalley. There is definitely something there for anyone who is interested in personal development. You can get business coaching, speaking coaching, health coaching. There are meditations on everything. I feel like it's all in one place, for one price per year and you can find the help you need to take whatever step forward you desire.
Worst customer service ever. When things go wrong, it is impossible to speak with a person. Zero resolution after 12 days of banging head against the wall. They didn’t tell PayPal the truth. Refuse to refund despite being legally entitled. Ironically, this experience has been damaging to mental health and wellbeing.

Very dissappointed with their services.I subscribed myself on November 2024.
On October I received an email if i wanted to renew the policy.
I tried to unsubscribe.Their system was playing "tricks" and would not allow me to bringing me on the same page over and over again. At some point I received an e-mail saying "Do you want to become a member?"I assumed that finally I got unsubscribed.A month later they debited my account with an extra 190£.When I requested refund they said that they did not have proof I got unsubscribed and they would not be able to refund but only cancel my subscription for the following year. How pathetic!!!

You keep playing games with me.
You write on review that you look on my complain where at the same time you send me an email that it is actually my fault for debiting my account although this is not right.I tried to unsubscribe then after a lot of effort I got a message that was stating I could become a member again.I assumed I was not a member and then you debited my card again.I wish I had looked on previous reviews before signing with you as it looks like you do the same thing quite often.Hopefully my bank will be able to sort this out.

I attended the Rise Beyond Limits event and it left me genuinely excited to start the WildFit program. Eric’s story and the way he delivers it really landed with me, and Vishen’s talk was equally inspiring. I was fully motivated to begin right away. Unfortunately, I ran into a technical issue while registering on Mindvalley and I could not complete my sign up. I reached out to support several times by email and WhatsApp, but I did not receive any response and it has now been five days. That is disappointing, especially when you are ready to start and get stuck at the very first step.
In the end, I was able to access and download WildFit by registering with a different email address. I truly believe in Mindvalley and the value of the content, but the lack of any support response is not acceptable and it takes away from what could have been a great experience.

total scam - took $350AUD and account never got subscription, support kept smiling and saying you will get it in 24 hrs. I didn't. I contacted support 5 times, nil response. They told paypal I have received the subscription - I have not. So $350 down, no subscription no refund. So much for a 15 day refund.

Overpriced and extremely disappointing.
The automatic renewal system is terrible. I tried to cancel one hour after the renewal fee was processed, and customer service told me it was “impossible” to refund. They simply said, “Hope you enjoy the full year,” even though I clearly explained my situation.
For the high price they charge, you don’t even get full access to all content. It feels hypocritical that they promote caring for your well-being, yet they don’t care enough to offer a refund — even when you urgently need the money back for medical expenses.
Honestly, it’s not worth the cost, and the customer service experience was extremely disappointing.

I unsubscribed, the courses weren't for me.
But no, they won't accept that. So they continuously attempt to withdraw money from your bank account even though you have requested to unsubscribe weeks if not months before renewal date.
They ignore every single email you send. The only way is to list them as FRAUD on your bank account otherwise they will relentlessly persue trying to take money regardless.
Sick of this company and their non-existent customer service.
Response to below - if you opened your emails at your support email you wouldn't have to ask such a stupid question.

Time has again passed and NOT ONE WORD in response se to my innumerable emails. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. I received another lie from MV in response to this review. They cannot help but to lie and misrepresent. Tom Kirby and Vishen Lakani have been contacted ad nauseam without reply.
I wish I could give a zero. I attempted to secure a confirmed refund for over a year and it never came to fruition. These people talk a good game of empathy, community, like mindedness but in the end they are all about the greed. Money. Money. Money. Mine. Mine. Mine. I have never been so disappointed by an organization. Shame on these greedy liars.

On November 27th, I signed up for Mindvalley’s Black Friday deal, which was advertised with a 15-day risk-free trial. I joined out of curiosity because the ad was appearing everywhere and it sounded like a good fit.
November 27th, I took Mindvalley’s Black Friday deal with a 15-day risk-free trial as advertised. I was curious to join since I was seeing their ad everywhere and it sounded like a good fit.
December 8th (day 10 of my trial), I decided I didn't want to continue, so I cancelled my membership. I did see the note that there was no time for a refund, but I did it as I still had 5 more risk-free days as promised.
I got the following automated response: "Thank you for reaching out! Your request 80205 has been received and is being reviewed by Mindvalley support team. Our team will get back to you within 24 hours." I immediately replied back with my invoice from 10 days before, but as of today, I have received no replies, assistance, nor has any refund been processed.
It seems like the “risk-free trial” was just misleading marketing. I'm disappointed by the lack of support and follow-through by respecting their own time to respond.
I request Mindvalley to honor the 15-day risk-free trial and issue the refund I am entitled to.

Horrible experience. Stay away. I used the platform for 2 years but have now been forced to pay for 2 additional years.
They auto renewed in 2024 and I tried to cancel but they would not refund me. So I kept the subscription. However, I turned off auto renew in the system and with them over the phone.
In 2025 it auto renewed again. I immediately reached out to customer service and they still refuse to refund me $299. There rule is the subscription has to be canceled within 15 days from the renewal.
I reached out 2 days after the transaction. I have been disputing with PayPal bc this was an error in there system and they continue to reject this refund. This is a horrible way to do business.
The platform also was not great. Just a cash grab. Everything costs more money on top of the $299 charge. I am surprised they only have a 4.1. This is a horrible company, horrible platform and only care about money!!!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

I feel like I’ve been totally scammed. I paid for membership yesterday but did not receive any log in details. So they have taken my money (£270) and I am not able to log into to use it. I have used the chat bot and have sent my receipt and bank account screenshot as proof of purchase and still no one has contacted me to sort this out. I can’t even use the cancellation policy as I cannot log into to do it!!!! I now just want a refund as I have lost all trust now. I would not recommend anyone to pay for a mind valley membership to be honest.
Edited 16th December
I have already contacted support and was asked to supply my email address, proof of purchase (the emailed receipt) , also a screen shot of my bank account as added proof of purchase. All of which I did. I have been sent numerous links from support and none of them have worked. After all that and now 9 days after parting with my money I am still unable to log into Mind Valley. Please just do the decent thing and refund my money!!!!!!

Reply from Mindvalley
Ok content, but they just want the recurring memberships and they make support and cancellations difficult. There are better resources for personal development that are not more interested in recurring revenue streams that you can't cancel or get out of easily. Don't sign up.

I purchased tickets to the Mindvalley event in Tallinn and, due to unexpected personal circumstances, had to request a refund—well within the timeframe stated in their own terms and conditions. It has now been four weeks of trying to get my money back, and I’ve gotten absolutely nowhere.
Their “support” is essentially an AI agent that keeps repeating the exact same scripted message promising a refund in “3–5 working days.” Not once has anyone actually followed up, taken responsibility, or resolved the issue. For a company that claims to champion entrepreneurs, personal growth, and integrity, this experience has been shockingly unprofessional and deeply disappointing.
At this point, I doubt I’ll ever see my money again. Please learn from my experience and think twice before purchasing anything from Mindvalley. I certainly won’t be making that mistake again.
