Terrible scam/malware site

I just spent hours cleaning my 10-years old son's PC who had downloaded a map pack from Minecraftdl.com. The pack had installed 4-5 malware/viruses that were particularly difficult to remove - I had to run the virus scanner, malwarebytes tool and adware cleaner and finally removing manually the malicious Windows service the minecraftdl had installed stopped the infections reappearing. So there is only one conclusion to be made: Minecraftdl.com is the malicious site that should be avoided like the plague.

damn virus

I got a nasty virus from this site. My google chrome says that I have some other users of my browser. I can also see it in settings - persons - and there stands "person1" . I can't find the installed filed. I don't know what to do. I can't also download new motives or applications in chromestore. F*CK THIS SITE!

Malware

Tried to download a mod from there today and got an installer like another user stated. The installer changed settings in chrome, removed my adblock, and installed several apps that I didn't approve as well as something called UpgraderSystem that I now can't seem to get rid of. Thanks for that minecraftdl.

Infected

Every time I try to download something, my anti-virus says that se site is infected with a trojan virus. Once, I made it and downloaded a mod, but I recieved an installer saying minecraftdl and some random numbers. I thought it was an installer, but when I opened it, I got a virus. I deleted it, but I still don't download anything from your site.
I (and many other people) trust only planetminecraft, the minecraft forums and skydaz.
Please, if you have a problem with a virus, solve it so we can download safely from you.

Informative

The site selects great mods, texture packs and skins from many sources and reviews them. They use only the developers' download link and also add the donation section for the developers if they exist. So I think they are doing their best to support the developers while at the same time selecting the best out Minecraft's wide ranging mods. I totally like it.
