I wish I could give zero stars because…

I wish I could give zero stars because my experience with minuteclinic was that bad. The provider we met with had the worst bedside manner. Before even closing the exam room door she asked me why I haven't taken my child to the pediatrician or a specialist for our health concern. Way to make someone feel like they are neglecting their child! Am I not here to see a doctor now?
She then stated that she could not help us because of my child's age, we later learned this to be false. When booking the appointment they ask for the patient's date of birth so they knew how old my child was and you have to select your specific health concern for the appointment so they are well aware of what we were making an appointment for. Why do you offer this service for children if claim you are unable to treat them?
To top it all off the scale was broken and she couldn't even get my child's weight. Rather than getting new batteries the lazy provider just shrugged her shoulders and continued on. I used to use minuteclinic for simple illnesses but never again! I am mind blown that the bill was so high and they stated they couldn't help me within the first minute of our visit.

I will absolutely never be back again!

There’s a reason their reviews are so…

There’s a reason their reviews are so bad! These people LIE! Their website says walk-ins welcome. I’m rode my motorcycle all the way down there and she said they wouldn’t take me! These so called health professionals don’t care about anything but the almighty dollar- no care or concern for patients at all. The nasty lady working 5pm 12/27 was rude and should not ever be in the business of taking care of people, she is only concerned that they closed a half hour after my arrival. Real medical professionals want to help people, not hurt them! I hope the government shuts this place down. I will be going all out to see that happen. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Excessive billing

I visited the MinuteClinic for a routine wellness check for my daughter that included testing for the flu and strep throat. I was shocked and extremely frustrated to see the final bill submitted to my insurance company was $600 for this simple visit. This charge feels excessive and a case of significant overbilling for the basic services rendered. There was a complete lack of transparency about how expensive these simple tests and the visit would be. I feel consumers need to be aware of the potential for these high costs.

Filthy and money-hungry

The MinuteClinic company is filthy and money-hungry. I foolishly assumed they were in network with my insurance as part of CVS and didn’t think I needed to check. Unfortunately that’s not true, but I was never notified of that at the time of my visit. Real time eligibility on registration should tell them that, which protects both them and patients financially. Instead I was told that the vaccine may not be covered due to the CDC nonsense “but if it isn’t it’s only like $150 out of pocket”. Wrong. I received a bill for nearly $400, $105 of which was for the administration of the vaccine. The NP was with me less than 5 min. Charging $105 for 5 minutes of time amounts to $1260/hour. That’s absurd. The self pay rate is less, but you cannot receive the self pay rate once it’s submitted to insurance. There’s no available discount at all; you’re just screwed. But hey, they can give you a payment plan to draw out your suffering! I will never utilize a CVS or MinuteClinic again. We all need to get back to mom and pop pharmacies that actually give a hoot about patients and their health. CVS certainly doesn’t. Thank goodness this was *just* a vaccine and not a full visit with diagnostics - I can’t imagine what that bill could look like. Make sure if you do go here you contact your insurance company directly yourself to know whether or not you’re covered and at what level.

$1000 surprise bill

$1000 surprise bill
I went to CVS Minute Clinic for a TB test and was told my insurance would pay for care. I scheduled for two vaccines and again verified that my insurance was in network for the service. Three months later, I received a bill for $1000. I have appealed through my insurance twice and through the CMS resolution process. CVS Minute Clinic charges $318 out of pocket for these services. They will do absolutely nothing to assist me and have sent the bill to collections. Evidently, lying to consumers nets them an additional $682 above the out-of-pocket costs.

Don’t waste your time or money

Waited on hold for a lengthy period of time after our meeting was supposed to happen. When the meeting actually did take place, I was treated by an early 20s nurse practitioner for upper respiratory infection. I was out of town on business so I could not make it to my general practitioner. I’m 48 years old and get upper respiratory infections one to two times a year and always receive an anabiotic with prednisone. This girl was incredibly condescending and cocky and refused to give me any of the medications that I know work for my body knowing I was at work out of town for the week. All she wanted to prescribe was a cough syrup and yes, they billed my card $120 in which I will be disputing. In my opinion, this is the biggest waste of time and money and borderline fraud. If you ask me highly recommend nobody use this service.

I’ve attempted to use this MinuteClinic…

I’ve attempted to use this MinuteClinic twice as a disabled veteran, and both times were a complete failure.

The first time, I arrived about an hour before closing. The doctor told me she was off in 45 minutes and didn’t want to risk staying late, so she refused to see me. Instead, she sent me to another clinic a mile away—which I later found out had been closed for six months.

I went back again today, saw a different doctor, and it was no better. He told me he didn’t know how to enter my insurance, so he couldn’t see me. When I asked where else I could go, he said he didn’t know—no options, no guidance, nothing.

If you’re not a veteran, maybe you’ll be treated differently here. But if you are a disabled veteran who fought for this country, don’t waste your time. This clinic has shown me twice that they don’t care about serving us.

Provider (NP) was adequate

Provider (NP) was adequate. The online minute clinic is TRASH. $120 for a 5 minute call and then the XR was never called into the pharmacy. My spouse had been bitten by a tick with obvious signs of Lyme disease and time was of the essence. No one could tell me why the script wasn’t available but they did manage to bill me $120 rather than the $40 that was advertised. Bait & switch. I’ll never use this service again.

I called your 866 call center today to…

I called your 866 call center today to ask a clear and simple medical question. The person on the phone acted like they couldn’t understand a single word I said. It wasn’t a language issue — I used a widely recognized medical term, which is most likely Latin-based.

This has never happened to me before. I’ve spoken English in many situations, including with people from different backgrounds and accents. But this time, I was completely dismissed.

It raises serious questions about who is working in your call centers, and how they are trained. Even if my accent is unfamiliar, understanding zero words is unacceptable. It felt like discrimination. I am deeply frustrated and disappointed.

This company seems severely flawed and…

This company seems severely flawed and should not be dealing with people's health. They straight up refuse to help. It first started when I arrived for my appointment, it was a general doctor's appointment which was listed as a service they do and I even selected it from their drop down box. When I arrive the nurse practitioner was the only person on site and she seemed frazzled. I told her what kind of appointment I was there from and she replied (were a walk in clinic, we dont really do that" in which i replied "really becuase I it says on website you do and thats what I picked" then she took back what she said and said she'll do the appointment come on in. She was nice, but she did try to rush me out at the end becuase she had a line backed up and she spent so much time saying the same thing over and over again about how I might not wanna do my appointment there. And like I said, there was no other workers there to help her. Going forward I got a call that my referrals where ready to pick up, I finally called to see if they can be emailed to me and thats where you start to see the unfair, hard to speak to anyone, probably purposely disorganized menu and ways of internal employees to connect connect. I asked the woman im on the phone with "oh so your telling me they're not done" in a normal tone, just trying to understand whats going on. when she came back from putting me on hold where she said she was going to see about emailing them to me. I was met with a extremely hype, rude, annoyed, un professional tone. She decided to respond eith an even more hyped up tone when I asked her to not have that tone with me. I was trying to tell her im just tying to understand the process and she cut me off going into a rant. I could not deal with that, so I asked her to get a manger. She proceeds to be argumentive trying to gaslight me that she was not being rude to me. I waited a long time for a manager and she told me that the manger could not get on the phone but that the manager had told her to tell me that it can't be done becuase the clinic did not do there part. That's when I lost all hope with them and said "well are you able to connect me to clinic becuase it's been impossible for me when I try" she responded "I know, i was going to try calling them but it it hard for me to get into contact with them too" this is just unacceptable set up for health patient to have to deal with. They disgust me with the fact they'd even make the first option to print out paper. Where is there ecological ethical policy? They should be ashamed and condemn. I just wanted my referrals emailed to me as the location i went to is far out of my way but I chose it to get a decent appointment that wasn't a far away one! As a human that is having health issues and money contestants like most of us out here i am deeply saddened this is the type of service the world has to offer today. It really feels intentional that you can't really get help over the phone so they can just have less employees. I'm am so sick of the world corporation expecting to use them but giving us barely anything as far as customer support or convenience. They need to know their eithet intention hard-to-get-help set up, or their uncapableness and disorganized way effect patients who are only trying to get help. Just the fact that the manager had the time to tell the employee what to say but could not get on phone with me, knowing how unsatisfied with their service I was speaks VOLUMES!

Went to CVS for med

Went to CVS for med they didn’t have in stock. Referred me to minute-clinic to receive it. Got it without much of an issue. When getting it at CVS it’s no charge.
Received bill from minute clinic with multiple charges totaling $670. My insurance paid a total of $19.00. I’m expected to pay the rest. Was given no indication of tis ridiculous charge.

Worst Experience I have ever had

June 16, 2025 Arlington, TX:
The Veteran's Administration has an agreement with Minute Clinic called The Mission Act. The Mission Act allows Veteran's to receive faster appointments and care.
Today for the first time, I attempted to use The Mission Act via Minute Clinic as directed by the VA and it was the worst experience I have ever had.
My appointment was for 12:10pm on 6/16/25. I arrived at 12:00 noon and checked into the kiosk. At 12:23 after seeing no signs that anyone was on duty, I tapped on the door. The practitioner Johnelle Cooper-Lassiter looked out, said that she was with a patient and that she was running 10 mins behind schedule. I mentioned that I had another appointment at 1:30pm today and she suggested that I cancle my appointment with Minuet Clinic today and rescheduled for a different time. I responded that I needed to get in and would wait. At 12:33pm she finishes with the patient in her office, walks out and ask if anyone had a problem with checking in at the kiosk the 4 people waiting all said no, and she called Cheyene as the next patient. I said Ma'am, I have been waiting and my appointment was for 12:10, she said sorry the next appointment she has is at 12:30 with Cheyene. I said Ma'am I have been waiting since 12:00 noon to be seen, she said we go by appointments and Cheyenne is the next person she has in the system, sorry. My wife and I asked how to file a complaint, got her name from her name tag and left.

Horrible service

Horrible service. The person in the virtual care just wanted me to spend money on unnecessary services. I told him I just need a refill of my prescription. He suggested a lot of other medicines and ask me to do a lab test. what a joke service. I ended up with MDLive to get my prescription refilled.

This company plays shady games

This company plays shady games. I used them last year and wasn't charged as its owned by my insurance company but this year they decided to submit my claims with a different code for same shitty service. Then my insurance didn't cover anything for some reason. Both these company is owned by same company and they try to trick into getting more money. Also, they hung up on me more than 3 times when I tried to confront them about this issue. Their doctors are very shitty and don't have proper knowledge about normal flu either. Their website is also broken when it comes to finance stuff. They are being very convoluted to make more money. Classic insurance scam. Never using this again.

4-11-25 medical records falsely documented

4-11-25 visit contains information of events that did not happen once I have received my medical records 5-7-25. The Nurse Practitioner documented stuff that was NEVER discussed or performed resulting in a lack of trust in this CVS Minute clinic organization.
I’m angry at him taking advantage of my situation and the insurance company and jeopardizing the integrity!! Please BEWARE. Make sure services rendered match charges and things documented actually happened . I have filed many complaints in order to bring awareness to this issue and to protect future patients who seek services there from this health care provider AND to preserve the Integrity of our Healthcare system.
