1 Star because cannot give 0

1 Star because cannot give 0. The worst provider I ever had. Just save yourself a lot of time and go somewhere else. Expensive, the speed is not as marketed, the phone data is very slow, with no coverage inside, changed the plan and there was a "bug" in the system and the internet stopped working right in the middle of a conference, twice in the same month, did not support on providing a new SIM after being stolen. It's just BAD! SHAME!!!

Movistar do not have Cable

Movistar do not have Cable, they have Fusion...which means nothing, yet they charge extra for it.
I arranged an to pay 50 euros a month for Wifi and a mobile phone, yet I was charged more than 100 euros a month, one month, 143 euros for December 2019.
They cancelled my mobile number and gave me their Fusion number, and cut me off. No explanation was given, yet It was my fault!
I have returned direct debits over the last few days, and if they wish to sue me all I can say is: SEE YOU IN COURT!

a SERIOUS claim

I want to make a SERIOUS claim about MOVISTAR services. From the day I become their costumer they charged me for the services I did not have. In the first and second invoices, they charged me for mobiles separately than my main plan. Although, they were part of my plan. In the next month, they charged me for Multiplus. I claimed about it and you did not take it into account and said you activated it. Then in the next month they charged me for the same service (Multiplus). This case may be acceptable because I could not cancel formally the service because I called them and their agent said the services are under update and I cannot do it right now. After that, I called them and cancelled everything except Fusion 0, but they charged me for Netflix this month. Although, the service was cancelled and I got the cancellation email from Netflix on Dec 15, 2019. Each time they say "Do you want to cancel this service, now?" All in all, as I can see in this website, I am not the first person.

Not all kiosks sell sims to tourists

I went to their kiosk at the shopping centre in Formossa as it is the closest to Buenos Aires Airport. She would not sell me a sim because I was a foreigner. They only sold 'personal' plans. My taxi driver even went inside to check for me so this wasn't a language barrier thing. So that's false advertising on the tourist page! (movistar.com.ar slash turistas#) I wasted my time and money trying to get there.

Movistar / Telefonica is a company with…

Movistar / Telefonica is a company with very very poor backoffice and administrative processes. When I got fibre optic they forgot to cancel my ADSL and kept charging me twice every month for both services. Also: The invoices do not in any way reflect my actual phone / internet usage and seem random.
The customer service people are friendly enough (in most cases) but are either incompetent / or are up against the same back office stupidity and incompetence as the customers. In short, Movistar owes me a lot of money for double charging. My recommendation: Choose another provider who do put the customer first, actually care and want to provide a quality service. The managers in charge of customer service and administration should be fired immediately.

absolutely horrified by incompetence of this company

This has to be the biggest joke of a company I have ever dealt with. Running a company using their services makes me feel like I’m a century behind. Coming from South Africa where service isn’t great, this company makes Spain seem more third world than Africa I’m actually horrified. Customer service is friendly and useless. I have spent hours trying to resolve issues and all I get is incorrect information. I have been passed around to different people and departments so many times and nobody ever resolves anything. Our personal contact given to us to resolve issues related to our fusion empresas contract never answers emails. Our line has been cut and nobody knows how to reconnect it. No internet, no telephone, the entire office with no coverage or data. Basically I feel like a backpacker hiking across continents having to find cafes along the way to connect to the world using free WiFi. I would highly suggest never using this company ever no matter what they try sell you.

Movistar cancelled our Fiber Optic…

Movistar cancelled our Fiber Optic Internet fixed line through no fault of ourselves. We have the Fusion package, it has been 8 days; we are in 2019 and still do not have our internet back! Yet, we are being charged. I have called at least 5 times and each time they tell me I will get my fiber optic internet back within 24 hours, utter BS. Avoid avoid this terrible company at all cost!! Never get internet from movistar

I have never met such a horrible company as this one. I live in Spain and we moved to a new location in Barcelona. We contacted them to switch our internet to our new apartment. We waited weeks for them to send a technician. W called CS when we didn't get the supposed call from a tech. Finally we got their attention when we where going to switch. We got the call from a tech (which is another company that is contracted). Guess where they where at. Our old apartment cause apparently they thought we where having issues with the internet there. Movistar you need to train you call center representatives better. Cause it's obvious they ignored our request and just said some stupid lie everytime we called, just to get us off the phone. We are moving to a different company. You can keep your discount. Also your representative request we go to another company for internet. Thanks rep that's the only good service you gave us.

Horrible service, avoid at all cost!

Horrible! Like every other telephone company in Spain, the service of Movistar is incredibly bad. I've been a customer for 7 years and never had any real issues until I tried to order an additional sim card. 5 times I've had to call to place the order and every time I was told it would arrive within 2 days, this never happened. After finally receiving a confirmation after 1 month, the order was never delivered. I tried to cancel because I was sick of waiting, I was told two times the order had been canceled but it remains active. And all this time they are charging me for a product I've never received. This kind of incompetence borders on scamming your customers. Worst company ever

Very bad experience cancelling the…

Very bad experience cancelling the service. I do not recommend Movistar at all. Had to pay more money than we agreed. They say they will cancel your internet and than the send you a bill for TV. Their callcentre is doing whatever they want but cancelling is impossible. Not being able to cancel the contract seems to be part of their business policy.

Don't, whatever you do, don't

Don't, whatever you do don't. They do everything over the phone, thus you have no proof when there is a problem. It's your word against theirs.

When they charge you too much, there is no way to complain about it. They take no responsibility. Here is my experience

They charged me too much. I complained. I was told, because they had charged me 65 in stead of 35 for 3 months they considered that I had accepted the changes to the contract. They said I should have checked my personal movistar account, something which I couldn't because their system didn't accept my number. Apparently they sent me an extra sim card which they linked the account to (I never received this).

Nothing is by writing/email. It all went over the phone, so it's not like I have any proof of the 6 months low initial rates before they go up (which they did after 3 months).

Obviously I changed (to Tuenti, also owned by Telefonica). Then 5 months down the line I noticed that Telefonica was charging me 3 amounts. I asked Tuenti, they were charging me 40 they said (10 +30), so it turns out Movistar is charging me another 15 (so 75 in total for the 5 months). I can't log into my account obviously, because that has never worked. After spending 1 hour trying to get through to them, I did, and they proceeded to tell me that I had a number with them (which they wouldn't tell me what was, understandably). Luckily I did have an invoice that I had to request from them when I had all the problems 6 months ago, that showed the number, and so I canceled it. Still, I'm sure they will charge me another 15. Thus I will have paid 90 euros for a number I never had and never used. Thank you Movistar!, you're worse than France Telecom.

IT’S ABSOLUTELY MADDENING.

Movistar,
They are in charge of maintenance of the telephone columns or these wood posts that are holding the cables, and I’m denied to change to Fiber because these wooden things in my street have a mark on them, to make people aware they are too dangerous to climb on them, they need to be replaced. So no provider can put a new cable on it for me to have Fiber, and the waiting period of these things to be replaced is UP TO A YEAR.
IT’S ABSOLUTELY MADDENING.
So thank you Movistar to not care about people’s safety and human right to have stable internet.
