We booked via mena house but eventually stayed at four seasons due to mena completely booked.
Our executive tour operator was Mai Khalid, she is so responsive on email and WhatsApp; our driver was khalid Gharib, very patient and kind; our tour guide name is Ahmed Hassan, so generous and friendly, we went to local fellafah which amazing than all 5 star hotel food we had (LOL), he knows everything about Egypt and eliminated my idea of the ETs building pyramid.
Phenomenal Experience
We just finished an 11 day tour with Misr Travel crisscrossing the country through Abu Simbel, Aswan, Luxor, Cairo, Sharm, St Catherine and Dahab. Everything was done to perfection including transportation, service, drivers and of course guides. They took care of everything. Mohamed was our go-to-guy. We would recommend them to anyone
We contracted with Misr Travel while in Cairo, Egypt…
We contracted with Misr Travel while staying at the Marriott Mena House. The team did a very good job of communicating with us prior to our arrival in Cairo, so we had our itinerary built when we arrived. Our tour guide for the week was Hala Fahmy, an extremely educated, intelligent and charming lady who made our excursions even more enjoyable. She was able to explain in detail all of the sites we visited over 4 days, providing a rich and colorful narrative on the historic places.
I give the Misr Team and Hala Fahmy in particular my highest recommendation.
Warm welcome and excellent organization.
Misr Travel just arranged an excellent private tour for us to Egypt (Dec 2020-Jan 2021). We felt safe and well looked after for the entire visit, despite the ongoing pandemic. The itinerary covered ancient sights in Upper Egypt as well as Cairo and Alexandria. Guides were knowledgeable and professional. Hotels, transport and meals were varied and enjoyable. Happy to recommend this company. Thank you.
My experience with one of the staff in Misr travel
Mrs Zinab Makboul is a really wonderful person she helped me plan the perfect vacation she always calls to check if we need anything or if there is something wrong so she can change it also this wasn’t the first time to deal with Misr travel through Mrs Zinab Mokboul and every time she never fails to amaze me this time, she got us a really great deal Gravity Sahl Hasheesh. The hotel is really a fantastic place and the staff there is really helpful. So I really want to thank Misr travels for hiring this wonderful crew and for always offering the best

Fantastic customer service provides for a wonderful Egyptain holiday
We began to plan our 2020 holiday to Egypt in late February 2019 with flights and hotels booked. It was in March 2019 that I started to look for an Egyptian travel agency that would be able to book a Nile River cruise, full day excursions and provide assistance if required. My wife and I looked and she found Misr Travel. We had been to Egypt in 2010, and the agency that we were given through our package deal were okay but had lacked a lot of customer service. I emailed Misr travel and had Mohamed Hasballah return my email and therein began a long association with Mohamed and Misr Travel. I had emailed other agencies and had not heard back from them. Mohamed Hasballah provided me with options regarding full day excursions around Cairo and a number of choices of Nile Cruises.
Mohamed and I began to email each other frequently which gave me peace of mind and this helped to develop trust with Misr Travel. I picked a Nile cruise (Radamis II cruise from Luxor) and two day excursions in Cairo (1. Dahshur, Sakkara, Memphis and Giza Pyramids; 2. Museum, Citadel, Old Cairo & Bazaar, both excursions included lunch). Additionally, I decided on a half day excursion in Luxor as well.
Mohamed asked me if I required any assistance with hotels or transfers. As I had already booked hotels, I did take the option of a transfer from our Giza hotel (Great Pyramid Inn) to Cairo Airport. This transfer gave us the opportunity to finally meet Mohamed and thank him in person for all his help.
On our second day in Cairo, we did our first excursion and we met our driver Mohamed and our guide Mahmoud. These two gentleman were fantastic; friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our time with them, we felt safe with Mohamed's driving and his friendliness and enjoyed Mahmoud's passion for Egypt's history. Mahmoud tailored the information so as not to overload us with information.
On our arrival in Luxor, we were met by Mahmoud and our driver and driven to our hotel. I arranged for a private half day excursion the next day (Medinat Habu and Ramesseum). It was on the next day that I met our private guide for the next four days on the cruise, Mohamed Sardoon. He took me on the private tour and we hit it off straight away, I enjoyed the tour and the information that he provided. Throughout the Nile Cruise on the Radamis II, Mohamed Sardoon was always there for us and made our excursions joyful with local knowledge.
Overall, our experiences with Misr Travel were better than we ever could have thought. The customer service was far better than the service we received when we visited Egypt in 2010. We had a great time and have many great memories. We would like to thank Misr Travel for the wonderful holiday and to all the people who made our holiday experience great. Special thanks to Mohamed Hasballah for all his valuable help.
Sayed Salama absolutely made our trip…
Sayed Salama absolutely made our trip to Egypt! He knowledge of Egyptian history was excellent. He always figured out a way to make it fun and interesting. He is not just a boring guide, you will have the best trip ever with him. Misr Travel was perfect. Everything was handled professionally without fail. Truly one of my life long favorite trips!

THE BEST adventures hands down!
Can’t say enough about MISR TRAVEL! If you’re planning a visit to Egypt (and you absolutely should!) you will have an amazing adventure with MISR TRAVEL. They were always on time, super friendly and always went out of their way to make it all happen. We went to Egypt to scuba dive which was great but the Nile Cruise and our time spent on land with Mr. Sayed Salama was hands down my favorite parts of the trip. Sayed is incredibly knowledgeable and personable and hilarious! I could have spent the entire 2 weeks we were there with him! Sayed met us on his day off to walk the market with us and five minutes after he left, we accidentally broke one of our souvenirs! I called Sayed to ask how to get back to the store and he left his family to come back to the market and literally run through the market back to the shop for an exchange! Sayed is THE MAN! MISR is very fortunate to have such an awesome man on staff. One of my very fav moments was having lunch with Sayed, his wife and his little girl. Collect moments not stuff right? We can’t wait to get back to Egypt to visit the Salama family, my forever friends, the new museum and the never ending treasures Egypt has to offer. Sayed? You have turned me into an Egyptian history lover! Who knew?! Thank you MISR TRAVEL for taking such awesome care of us. We will definitely book our next Egyptian adventure with you but we HAVE to be with Sayed! Thank you Sayed for the incredible memories.
Leave your worries at home. Best experience ever.
In 10/19 my husband and 2 friends spent 2 weeks in Egypt with Misr Travel as our tour guide company. They were always where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be. Every time!! Even with a 2 hour delay departing out arrival airport. What was especially great was that we had the same guide every day no matter where we were going in the country. Our guide, Sayed Salama was exceptional. Not only was his knowledge priceless, his willingness to get us whatever we wanted when we needed it be it ATM, soda, snacks, etc. He was always willing to accommodate our every need. Can’t wait to return to Egypt and will definitely use MISR TRAVEL again and will insist on Mr. Salama be our guide. I do not call him my guide anymore. I now call him friend!
We loved Egypt !!
It was the trip of a life time for us and Misrtravel made it possible for us to have great memories of a lifetime!! They were very professional, Courteous, punctual, pleasant and most if all very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Egypt and all its mystery within the the Pyraments and the pharaohs. For someone like me and my wife from the Dominican Republic Misrtravel made us feel like we were one them !! Our tour guide , Mr. Sayed Salama is the best of the best !! He was instrumental in making our trip to the land of the Pharaoh's one that we will never forget and cherish the the rest of our lives !! So, Misrtravel has to be your choice for all your travel needs to Egypt !! We wish there all the best now and always 🙏🏻
The Greatest Egyptian Adventure Possible
We booked our trip with MISR Travel for March of this year even though COVID-19 was starting to take hold in various countries. We had been booked since 2019 so we decided to go regardless as it was still early in the pandemic. We were greeted in Cairo by Mr. Mohammed Ismal upon arrival and felt a warm connection and that he really wanted us to have an amazing trip. We experienced the worst storm in Egypt in many years while we were in Cairo causing extreme flooding so our tour of the Pyramids of Giza the next day had to be rescheduled for later in the trip. That was fine because our hotel was so beautiful (Marriott Mena House), that we had a great time watching the lightning strike over the pyramids to deafening thunder that night while having mezze in the restaurant of the hotel. A once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.
We enjoyed the amenities of the hotel and made the most of it. It gave us time to recover from the long flight. The rest of the trip was a whirlwind. Egyptair cancelled flights because of the storm but did not mark them as cancelled on the board, just as delayed and we were stuck in the airport for 7 hours. We actually witnessed a fistfight between one of the station agents and a bus driver. No one would give us answers.
Still, we were lucky, others had been waiting over 36 hours to get on a plane out of Cairo. When we got to Aswan, our guide was there, waiting. Mr. Mohammed, our tour manager, was in contact with us the entire time to see that we got there safely. We took a tour of the dam after our grueling trip, a gorgeous visit to the Philae Temple complex then boarded our cruise on the MS Farah. The ship was empty but for us and two other couples but we loved having the ship practically to ourselves. Again, another unique experience due to the lack of tourism during the pandemic. We felt like billionaires. Even with so few passengers, the crew was very attentive and the service and cleanliness impeccable. The food served was of the best quality and delicious. It's a lovely ship!
We found out mid-cruise that Jordan would be closing its border to Egypt so we'd no longer be able to continue on to Jordan as planned. MISR Travel gave us an immediate refund for that leg of the journey with no issue. We then planned to finish our Egyptian trip and then head to Turkey after that since we would have to fly through there to go home. Again, Mr. Mohammed did his very best to help us change our plans and accommodate us in any way possible with our itinerary changes.
After a series of amazing tours in Luxor and an unforgettable balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, we continued on. The archaeological sites were never crowded. No queues to enter the tombs, no crowds at the Egyptian Museum nor to see the Sphinx. I'm not sure that can ever be repeated. When we returned to Cairo and checked into the Semiramis Intercontinental after a very long day of sightseeing we didn't look our best. We were dusty, sweaty, had barely slept and the young hotel clerk was very condescending to us. I was not impressed with him nor the hotel but we were so tired we just retreated to our rooms. We had no sooner showered and were ready to seek out a meal when we got word from a friend that Turkey would be closing its border to Egypt at 8 am. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 9 am so we immediately contacted Mr. Mohammed. He came after midnight with a driver and whisked us off to the airport even though the streets were flooded from the rains. Once there he went above and beyond to be sure we got on the very next flight to Istanbul before the cut-off time so that we would be able to get out of Egypt and get home. Everyone was trying to get out. This is where having such a well-respected agency like MISR travel proves its worth. Mr. Mohammed is a fixer. He managed to find solutions for the very challenging situations we put him through and only someone with those kinds of contacts could have pulled off what he did. We will remember him for the rest of our lives. I have never experienced such a level of customer service and caring attention from a travel agency. He even waited until he saw us pass through the gates to finally board a plane.
The hospitality of the Egyptian people came across in more ways than I can even describe. What could have been a nightmare situation was averted by the quick actions of MISR Travel who showed time and time again that they care. For this reason, we absolutely plan to return to Egypt to explore it further but to also reschedule and finish the rest of the itinerary to Jordan with MISR Travel. I could not fathom considering anyone else. Thank you for bestowing such kindness upon us. Shukran!
I will say that Egyptair has the worst customer service of any airline including United. This is not the fault of MISR Travel in any way but I would prefer to never fly with them again.
Educational and efficient tour
We enjoyed a fully packed day of touring around Cairo and Giza with Hussein from MISR. Despite a huge and crammed itinerary, our guide was able to break up the trip as needed so that we were never tired or hungry. It was amazing to have the tour go at our pace and needs, and all of our questions answered! Everything was also timed so that we avoided crowds and were able to take great photos. We felt safe and taken care of from the moment of pick up at our hotel to drop off. Highly recommended!
Misr Travel 5 Stars
Misr Travel really ensured that my birthday trip in Egypt was top tier. I felt safe the entire time, someone was always available for me to communicate with them if I had any questions or concerns, it was definitely first class treatment. Everyone was friendly, courteous, respectful and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that I felt accommodated at all times. I will certainly only be booking with them when I plan to travel again.
We were very pleased with our trip to…
We were very pleased with our trip to Egypt. The travel agency was wonderful. We were able to make changes that suited our schedule. All the hotels and cruise boats were first class. The transitions during travel were so easy as there was always a agent from MISR there to guide us. We have used this company now on two trips and have been very pleased with them.
