I have had a great experience with…mitchells of mansfield

I have had a great experience with mitchells Rachael who is head of sales had gone out of her way to give our company a first class service,
We were let down by many delivery companies stating it would take 5 to 10 days to get our dryer machine to Kent, mitchells got it there in two days absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

Excellent experience with this delivery…

Excellent experience with this delivery company. Easy tracking info with updated delivery time on the day, plus a call from the driver with his expected arrival. Our delivery was a double length pallet, which was dropped as close to our house as possible, our lane is unadopted so for us this was amazing! Driver was fab, cheerful and friendly, definitely went above and beyond. Thank you!

Poor service all round

We sent a wooden crate via their pallet delivery service in February of this year, which they lost. The office was not at all helpful and we had to constantly pester them to pursue this. In the end they sent us a claim form as the item was never found, a figure was eventually agreed on, according to their terms and conditions, which was half the price of the item, but we accepted this. We asked that the monies be paid direct into our account in May, when the acceptance letter was returned. I reminded them by phone and e-mail but had no response. I wrote a letter and sent it signed for and had no response. I then contacted Citizen's Advice who told me to write another 2 letters by signed for giving them 7 days each time to respond. We still had no response.
Today I submitted a claim through the government online small claims court procedure, which they receive a copy of straight away. They immediately said that they would pay, but in the meantime contacted me by e-mail asking why I hadn't contacted them to sort this out, rather than going through the court!!
We have now received the money asked for by the court, but would advise anyone thinking of using them not to.
They have zero skills in customer service and their pallet delivery service is very poor judging by this experience and other reviews on here too.

Poor service!!

For the past year we have had multiple issues with this company. We've had pallets damaged, pallets not even collected even when booked. No communication from them. Office poor to deal with just generally all round poor service. They have the cheek to close my account down with them after an argument on the phone about how they just don't pick my pallets up. I had to ring up multiple times to actually make sure they even came to collect the pallets! Disgusting service and they should be ashamed of themselves.

AVOID THESE MONKEYS

Absolutely shocking company ordered a pallet for delivery did not turn up on the day they arranged when i called customer service your met with a very rude lady with zero customer service skills what so ever they said there wasn't a driver to pick up my items so they said it would be the next day now same thing happened the following day no pick up and the same circus act on the phone do not use avoid at all costs what an utter bunch of clowns

Mitchells of Mansfield
I had a substantial problem with a consignment arranged with ‘Sendapallet’ (Mitchells of Mansfield) two weeks ago. I paid extra for a pallet and for their ‘premium service’ to ensure fast delivery. The collection company, Ketra, did not bring the pallet which I had paid for. They said that the instruction from Mitchells was in very small print so they missed it. Mitchells said that Ketra would come back later with the pallet, but this did not happen.
In the end, after many calls, I spoke to a helpful lady at Ketra. She could not get a vehicle to me. However, after I asked, she agreed that I could bring the consignment to their depot in Thamesmead myself, a two hour round trip.
The Mitchells office staff (two ladies) would not accept responsibility for this issue and took no effective steps to resolve it, other than supplying a phone number, telling me that “These things happen”.
In the end I was able to resolve it myself so that the consignment reached Wales the next day.
Mitchell’s recorded telephone message says how reliable they are. This was not my experience. I have since emailed twice about this and received no reply.

LOST MY PALLET..,,,,,,!!!!

I sent an engine on a pallet with this company ,who LOST IT .!!! I have been on the phone and filled out and sent all proof of payments from my customer.Then they want ACTUAL cost of the engine that it cost me so they can pay me less..!!! I have had to refund the buyer and after 2 weeks they telll me I am in a QUEUE of insurance claims.,,,Well that tells you all about this company.. I have not had any insurance money refunded as yet and have passed everything onto my solicitors now,I've had enough.....,
UPDATE: Been refunded my carriage cost and now the company is offering me my total loss amount MINUS 30%.So what they are doing is dictating the value of my goods ....If I sell goods at £470 I expect that the insurance would cover the whole amount tendered for said goods.I NEVER LOST THE GOODS THESE PEOPLE AT SENDAPALLET / MITCHELLSOFMANSFIELDS DID...
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND HOPE POTENTIAL USERS OF THIS COMPANY STAY CLEAR .

Terrible company, damaged goods, non collection, very unhappy - but glad to take money in advance.

We used Mitchells of Mansfield on several occasions without an issue, then we just had problems. We had a damaged high value delivery, and their claims process makes it prohibitive for us to even consider claiming. We cannot keep someone waiting weeks for their goods while Mitchells pretend to do something about it. Then we put it down to experience and booked more deliveries with them. They accepted bookings, took our money in advance and then never even bothered to collect the items. They have caused us problems and earache and the worst bit - they do not give a monkeys. Could not care less. When we asked why they had not fulfilled the delivery, we did not even get a reply, we received a refund via paypal, but that left our delivery stood waiting.

I suppose they think they are smart.

We've gone elsewhere now, we will not be back. Mitchells of Mansfield have damaged our reputation. We would not use Mitchells of mansfield (part of pallethub) if they were the last carrier on earth. "Lazy, awful, dishonest" has been our experience.
