A truly perfect wedding day

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience at Mitton Hall. From start to finish, the team were professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. The venue looked absolutely stunning, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the entire day ran seamlessly.

A special thank you to our coordinator, Chester, who was fantastic throughout. His calm, organised approach and genuine care meant we felt completely at ease. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made sure everything flowed perfectly.

Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything was managed. We are so grateful to the whole team for allowing us to relax and truly enjoy every moment.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Mitton Hall to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Excellent character hotel

Excellent character hotel, the staff were attentive and efficient, the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Our only grievances were, the suite we were allocated was freezing and the heating system wasn't operating, and the provision of a 1.5 kw oil filled radiator was insufficient to heat the room. There was no hot water therefore the shower was at best tepid brrrr. Other than that a lovely hotel. Would I visit again, yes we would.

Amazing place, unfortunately no lift !

I stayed at Mitton Hall last week for the night as a birthday treat from my friend, it's a seriously stunning place, absolutely beautiful . We asked on arrival did they have a lift as I have a disability, To my disappointment they didn't! The bannisters are very wide and I struggled to safely walk up the stairs. I really cannot understand why in this day and age they wouldn't have a lift ! Our room was a little sparce, not in keeping with the place at all , i think the room could have been much nicer. The breakfast was
lovely, very tasty, infact the food in the restaurant was fabulous, we had ordered from the bar menu the previous evening.
No complaints at all , this place is a magical place for a break away, as long as you don't have a disability!

Wedding Celebration

I attended my nephew and his new wife's wedding reception and stayed the night. The happy couple really enjoyed the day and meal etc. I wasn't bowled over by the food, gave it to my brother! But that was down to personal preference. The building was very beautiful/stunning. My problems started when I went to go to bed. I am disabled and was aware that all bedrooms are situated on the first floor. I can climb stairs with the use of bannisters although slowly. There are no bannisters etc except very close to my room which was quite a distance away. It took me nearly 45 minutes to get to my room!! I felt so embarrassed with people watching me. I was also disappointed with my room. Considering the beauty of the building my room could have been one in a travel lodge. It does notify on the site that there were some modern rooms. But this one was bland/boring with not one hint of the age of the building. I only stayed the night because I wanted one of the older ones. I wasn't notified of what part of the hall I was booked in to. Getting back down in the morning I managed to keep holding everyone up. They were very patient with me but that made me feel even worse. And I didn't even get breakfast!! My sister had to ask for a coffee and a glass of water for me. All others seemed to have a lovely time. So my advice to anyone who's disabled, this hotel is not suitable to stay in I'm afraid.

Disappointed at Mitton Hall

We went to this hotel for Champagne Afternoon tea on Sunday 12th May, 5 of us went and it was a ‘cheer up’ for a friend as it the anniversary of her husband’s death a few years ago. We were really disappointed, I have had afternoon tea at other venues and they’ve been excellent as has the other couple who halved the price of the afternoon tea with me and my husband ( and it wasn’t cheap) . My other friend went to Gibbon bridge last week and sent a photo, they had much more appetising treats to choose from, ours at Mitton Hall was quite sparse, we didn’t want to say anything as my friend whose tea it was in aid of had never been to Mitton Hall before and had enjoyed it. Myself and friends love Mitton Hall and we did have a good afternoon and night, the staff are always pleasant, but I’m afraid on this occasion we were really disappointed and certainly will be choosing other venues for our afternoon tea.

Well organised event with superb food

Attended such a well organised event last night
Jess was superb throughout the night making sure guests needs were met
The food was sublime - was not expecting such amazing food
The hall was such a beautiful setting
Maybe more people needed behind the bars to cater for influx of guests at such events

Incredible

Our first visit & Stay. From driving into the property We were blown away by the beauty of the gardens and building, when we walked in through the entrance we were in awe of the astounding surroundings. All original wood work all around, the fire place in the main reception area was exceptional!

We could not fault anyone or anything.

Alex the barman was so friendly, attentive, warm and professional. What a lovely man! Mitton hall he is a keeper and definitely deserves a pay-rise.

Victoria on reception was amazing, very polite, professional, even located my earrings that I left behind.

Mitton hall we will see you again very very soon.

Poor service don’t go!!!!

Booked afternoon tea today at 13:30 arrived and after a 45 mins drive and sat at the table, I was excited and looking forward to a lovely afternoon!
The lady taking us to the table was lovely but then it went down hill, 45 mins later we were still waiting after asking three people where our tea was. At 30 mins we enquired, this was a third time, after watching tables fill, others start to receive their food my husband called time, standing up and saying we are leaving.
We left after informing the reception of the poor service.
Lovely venue, very very poor service and a completely ruined day!!

Superb!

Absolutely stunning character hotel. All wooden interior as you enter, finding yourself in front of a magnificent real wood fire!

The rooms are exceptionally beautiful and decorated to be in current era with modern bathrooms.
Stayed in the Princess suite. Loved every minute of it. Shame the shower was terribly weak. Could do with fixing the pressure on that.
Lovely staff, very helpful, very friendly. They certainly make your stay that bit more memorable!

Romantic and beautiful. A bit too expensive though. Could do with giving more special offers so more people can truly enjoy this lifestyle.

Any opportunity to go back, will most certainly do.
