Order went through, but make sure to chase them
Ordered a Fold 7 on O2 through Samsung and it went to a hold status almost immediately saying it could take upto 48 hours to resolve.
After a bit over 27 hours later I phoned up Samsung to enquire about wheat was happening. The answered quickly and told me the status was on hold and that they would forward the query on.
All of a sudden I got a texts and emails from O2 explaining the process to get an additional credit check done.
I understand the need for all the checks, but it was my call to Samsung which kickstarted the process. I suspect others had the orders cancelled because something in their process means it's not happening automatically.
So if you get the same make sure you call them ASAP.
Data mining company
Very poor service
Collects huge data (through samsung)
I am very concerned about the misuse of my data
They are dragging Samsung down
They are dragging Samsung down. Ordered and had multiple cancellations for getting my date of birth wrong because Samsung website asked for US format. Corrected this and rejected again because it had already been rejected. Called multiple times and no resolutions. Honestly - appalling service
Do NOT purchase direct with Samsung! or Mobile Shop
I tried to purchase a Z Fold 7 with a THREE 100 gb 24 month sim contract direct from the UK Samsung website as it was cheaper.
I then received an email from a third-party company called "MobileShop" saying they need to do checks. Why isn't this all handled by Samsung?
I then received an email saying that I did not pass credit checks. I have a near-perfect credit rating. A score of 990 in Experian, and no bad debt ever.
The message says they can't give feedback and to call Three. very helpful! They mentioned I could get a code from them if they pass teh credit check.
So I called Three and they said they don't even do the SIM contract that Samsung offered! They couldn't find my order anywhere from the order numbers or my email, so could not help or provide the authorisation number.
They said that if purchased through them and a credit check fails they can appeal it there and then.
I'm worried that the failed credit check has now damaged my clean credit rating!
I'm so annoyed at Samsung for hiding these terrible processes, making fake promises selling sim contracts that don't exist.
And this "MobileShop" for not offering any help, and messing up teh application that Three cant find
Same as many others on here
Same as many others on here. Went through Samsungs official website to order a new phone. After taking £500 of my money I thought I shouldn’t foresee any problems. How wrong was I! Order was placed on hold for “ internal security checks “ 2 days later order cancelled. Went to another provider and no issues at all. Phone is on its way. Have to wonder what’s really going on here & I’m annoyed they have some of my personal info. Still waiting for my money back too! Samsung should really bin these off. Not a good look for a global brand!!
I am encountering repeated…
I am encountering repeated cancellations of my orders. I have tried different SIM plans without trading in any devices. I have attempted to place orders through both my phone and computer browsers, and I have also cleared the cache, yet the problem continues. I contacted customer support, who mentioned they would look into the issue, but I have not received a response after four days. It seems that Samsung might not be prioritizing sales or is experiencing difficulties in managing its sales and services effectively. It is unfortunate, but typical on Samsung's history, they seem to falter just before reaching the top.
Avoid. Mobileshop is a scam
As with many others I applied for a Samsung Ultra with O2 sim via Samsung’s website.
My credit check failed an internal check with O2 allegedly. I have a great credit score so knew it wasn’t that. I’ve since rung O2 and they confirmed that an application was opened with them but the 3rd Party did nothing with it.
The worst thing for me is that I ported my current number so now I’m in limbo about what I’m meant to do. If this has affected my credit I will have no phone number.
Final point: this looks like a data harvesting scheme & Samsung aren’t interested in it.
This is a scam from Samsung and AO
This is a scam from Samsung and AO. They have no intention in offering the deals. Been with Samsung over 10 years time to change brands!
Ordered a Samsung through Samsung shop…
Ordered a Samsung through Samsung shop UK with an o2 sim deal. Like many others my order was cancelled in an hour after confirmation. Spent the whole day on phone to Samsung, mobileshop and o2. O2 were the only company making sence. Was advised I needed to go through credit check questions which I subsequently passed and was granted a o2 sim contract. O2 said to give a ref code to samsung and mobile shop to push the order through. Neither Samsung or mobileshop customer services dealt with this properly, were dismissive and not interested in taking the code. Mobileshop reiterated that o2 cancelled the contract and not to order any phone contract for 90 days! (due to potential negative credit score issues) Rang back Monday and mobileshop advised "there is a problem with the Samsung and o2 network arrangement and all orders are being cancelled down for no reason, not failed security checks. No information about honouring price or the product ordered. Refund processed by Monday. Shocking service, lead on by uninterested staff for a whole day, no accountability. Deal shouldn't even be online if it is faulty.
Dodgy as anything... don't even bother
Like the other reviews, I failed "security checks" and had my order cancelled. Something very dodgy is going on here - why are so many of us getting rejected? And why is samsung working with such a dog sh company?? It's interesting how immediately after being "rejected" I start getting scam 0800 phone calls .... *eye roll*. After reading below reviews I didn't reapply or try calling as it seems this is a data grab more than anything to get our information. I'm not even sure you can even legit buy this promotional deal. It's ridiculous. You should be able to trust samsung... but maybe not anymore for me.
Application Rejected - didn't pass rigorous security checks
Like many, many others on here, me and my partner, separately, got rejected new phones/O2 contracts (but through mobileshop) via the Samsung app and website, due to "your order has not passed our rigorous security checks".
Pssst, I'm already on a contract with O2 (and virgin media for broadband and TV, which is part of O2), and have been for the past 3 years. Please explain how I couldn't have passed your security checks?? When I'm already on the network?
I'm good enough to have a contract, but not good enough to have a contract... huh??? what???? When I called O2 direct about the rejection, they had, apparently, zero knowledge of this rejection. O2 even tried to sell me another contract or to change my tariff.....hahahahaha!! I thought I didn't pass your RIGEROUS SECURITY CHECKS.
Just for the avoidance of doubt. My score on all 3 credit reference agency are either maxed out as excellent or the status is excellent, so don't even go there. Failed security? Ye right, if you say so!!!!!
I tried to sort this out, but gave up as you just end up going round in circles with samsung, O2 and mobileshop, one blaming the other. There is clearly, without question, a problem here with the service, given the volume of complaints about this issue on various sites.
Oh, and one more thing O2, your service is really not that special, your lucky to have people wanting to join, let alone rejecting them (not sure which organisation this should be directed at to be fair).
Let's blame all three, as they are all equally culpable, as none them want to take responsibility!
Terrible company to deal with
Along with almost every other review form the last few days i have had issues with Samsung mobileshop. Ordered the Samsung S25 Ultra phone for it to be automatically cancelled despite passing credit checks. E-mail stated 'internal security checks'. After numerous calls to customer service desk I was advised to keep re-ordering as it was a known technical glitch and i was assured no further credit checks would be carried out as the original orders hadnt gone through (not true). The customer service team have been useless and keep trying to blame the service providers who have no knowledge of the order. The number of people that have now had credit scores negatively affected through no fault of their own must be huge, let's hope some resolution can be found for all involved!
Samsung sort your life out
Another one that has just gone through the pain of trying to order from Samsung I have now ordered twice from them and both have been cancelled. Now waiting to get my money back. Never ever been refused credit or a new contract. How Samsung can't take any accountability is an absolute joke.
Data-Grabbing Tactics Disguised as Promotions – Beware of Mobile Shop and Samsung
I attempted to purchase a Samsung S25 Ultra via the official Samsung website, only to find out that Mobile Shop was handling the order. The first application was rejected under the vague reasoning of not passing their "internal credit and security criteria." I was told by Samsung that the rejection came from O2, but when I contacted O2, they had no record of my application. Samsung then advised I try again and contact Mobile Shop directly.
I reapplied—this time choosing Three as the SIM provider to avoid a repeat of the issue—and again, the payment went through, only for Mobile Shop to cancel the order without any clear explanation.
The message received from Mobile Shop was as follows:
"We're unable to process your order as it has failed to meet our internal credit and security criteria. We look at up to 500 separate rules that vary on a case by case basis. When an order doesn't meet a certain threshold on these checks, we take the decision not to proceed."
This is not only opaque but deeply concerning. What exactly are these "500 separate rules"? The refusal to provide any specific reason, combined with the fact that they collected personal and payment data twice, raises serious privacy concerns. It appears that the so-called promotion is merely a data-harvesting trap masquerading as a sales campaign.
Samsung, by partnering with Mobile Shop in this process, is complicit. Their lack of accountability and redirection of responsibility is disappointing and irresponsible for a global brand.
This isn’t just poor service—it’s borderline deceptive. Consumers deserve transparency, and this experience suggests something far more troubling. Regulatory bodies and legal channels should be involved if this continues unchecked. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of Mobile Shop and question Samsung's partnership choices.
Dodgy provider
Same as others. Tried to purchase on Samsung website with O2. Rejected by their internal check with no explanation. Asked 5 of my friends same result for all. And I have 999 as a credit score. Something dodgy is going on with this company.
Tried to contact with O2, they don't see why I should be rejected.
Cancelled order. Twice!
Ordered a Samsung 25 ultra through the Samsung site. Found out Mobileshop deal with the order. It was rejected for being unable to complete security check. Rang Mobileshop they said it was O2's rejection. Rang O2 they had no record of an application. I informed Samsung. They said should be ok to reapply again. I did but this time chose 3 as the sim provider to avoid any issues. It took my money again they cancelled again! This is undoubtedly a mobileshop issue. I have perfect credit and no previous issues. I wouldn't deal with them again. And Samsung should be ashamed of it's response too
Rejected due to 'security checks'
Rejected due to 'security checks'.
Ordered a Samsung s25 through Samsung directly. I have a perfect credit score and would never expect a phone contract to be refused. It was declined. They took payment and then later on stated I did not pass the credit checks.
A family member later had the same experience. But they were told they passed the credit checks, but failed to pass internal security checks. I do not know what that means and no way of finding out.
On top of all this, the day after I completed my order I received a call from someone saying they were o2. They said they would reduce my bill. I just needed to tell them the login code sent to me by text. This was clearly a scam. But I can't help but wonder if this company shared my details because the phone caller knew quite a bit about me and it happened right after I tried ordering.
Reading other reviews, there appears to be serious issues with this company and not sure why Samsung uses then.
Rejected an order for no reason
Simlair to many on here, passed the credit check but rejected on internals checks. How can that be possible. No issues with credit - ever, first time I've been rejected for a phone for no real reason. Samsung need to reject this third party vendor a complete joke of a company. What internals do you have other than a credit check ? I like to know what information you hold on me above a credit check. I have no other business with you. Spoken to network, they have no application from them.
Steal your bank details and cancel your…
Steal your bank details and cancel your order for no apparent reason. I have an exceptional credit record. Went through samsung website. Disappointed they're partnered up with such a theiving company
New cell phone
It took 2 and half hours ,to get new cell and an additional cell added
The employees were nice, and friendly but when asked will the charger cord fit my block at home, She assumed it ,when I got home, the Google charger cord didn't fit my block.
I wouldn't get the screen protector for that price. It didn't last.
It should for the price.
