I ordered a coat online

I ordered a coat online, when it actually arrived almost 8weeks from order date, the coat looked nothing like the images, when emailed them was basically told send it back to China at your costs, or we can offer a 50% settlement basically keep the cost and we will transfer 50% payment back… had absolutely no response, no phone number and emails are ignored… stay clear of this company FAKE company from China… be warned..!!!!

Hi Darren. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding, as our company mainly specialises in recruitment services and does not engage in the sale of clothing items. Could you please double-check the site you intended to review? Thank you.

Modis is a scam

Modis is a scam. They offer fake role of Presales Consultant at IBM in order to get personal details like legal name, DOB, visa details etc
There is no job description, caller shares meaningful word doc with empty table which names different role of BigReplicate Consultant at Expert Labs. Caller can't explain duties and mentions some random which doesn't relate to advertised role XYZ Consultant in any way or form. When I ask the Q "how would I know you are not a scam?" three times, caller says he can't hear.

Avoid Modis. Avoid Adecco

Probably one of the rudest and incompetent companies I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across. I applied for a job and didn’t get it (absolutely fine with that part). However, when I asked the used cars salesman of a recruiter not to randomly call me with so-called job opportunities I got a terse response that I had applied for a job, not won it and basically bugger off. I asked again not to contact me with so-called job opportunities to which he rudely questioned that it was strange to be a contractor and not want to discuss opportunities. Yes mate it may be strange to you but it’s my choice. So accept it and move on. Tbh I’m still expecting cold calls from this clown.

If they’re this bad in dealing with a very simple and within my rights request imagine dealing with them long term!!!
Honestly I think I dodged a HUGE bullet here.

UPDATE: The Modis Muppets still contacted my with cold calls. I’d like to reduce my rating the 1/2 star.

Avoid these people at all costs!

Essentially whilst most recruitment firms are dishonest and unscrupulous to say the least, and are only interested in quick placement fees, Modis are the worst we have ever dealt with. On two occasions they have provided candidate CVs which do not in any way resemble the underlying skill sets of the candidates. This is followed swiftly by their placement fees. The frustrating thing here is that our dealings with Modis are in the UK, where unfortunately there are no legal obligations for full-time placement firms such as Modis to do any work to qualify candidates, leaving them to be self regulating / ethical - which we know they are not!
Be very afraid of these people.
