Exceptional
Was dubious about ordering from a company I had never heard off. Glad to say I had no need to worry. Delivery was great and no extra charge for Scottish Highlands. Furniture fabulous for the price I paid. I will definitely recommend and use again.

I’M STILL WAITING
I’m still waiting! Having ordered a table in June on a 4-6 week lead time (as stated on their website, and still saying the same delivery time now), it was eventually delivered nearly four months later. The trouble is, they didn’t include the bolts to fix the table top to the legs. That was three weeks ago. Despite constantly contacting them regarding this, including the boss who on Friday said they would contact me on Monday to let me know where they are, I still haven’t heard anything from them. It doesn’t take three weeks to get bolts delivered. Disappointing customer service, and I am still waiting for the courtesy of a response from them, and the bolts to be supplied and fitted.

We completely understand how frustrating this has been for you and once again can only apologise again for the inconvenience. The company owner personally got involved in this case to help get it resolved as speedily as possible for you. Our supplier should have sent the bolts to be with us on a date given to us by them, the customer service team was following this up with the supplier daily and were getting assurances that the bolts were on their way. Since Brexit, any products and parcels of ours that are manufactured in Europe now have to go via an import depot which unfortunately adds a few more days.
The bolts were delivered to you on 4th November with our carriers scheduled to come back and assemble your table for you on the 8th of November.
Andrea, I do hope this is now all fully resolved for you and you can sit back, relax and start enjoying your beautiful new table. As ever, please don't hesitate to get in touch if there is anything we can help with. With best wishes, the Modish Living team

Great Purchase
We purchased the Chelwood extending dining table, and are delighted with our purchase. Item arrived on schedule and was well packaged for delivery. We were kept updated on the delivery as it progressed which was great. Table was just as pictured. Beautiful quality. Wouldn't hesitate to use Modish again. 10/10

AVOID!
AVOID!! After waiting months for a table and bench that I paid over £900 pound for, both items were delivered damaged. After speaking to a member of the customer service team a replacement was arranged, which took another month to arrive. Table once again arrived damaged with clear scratch marks on the table that were over the treated wood and have clearly been caused due to a lack of safe handling. This has been passed of as intentional ageing on the wood and the company is reluctant to refund me unless I pay for the table to be collected, even though I have been caused nothing but wasted time and money! This company is absolutely disgusting. Don’t waste your money!

Ideally the table and bench you ordered would have been delivered to you in our 2-4 week delivery time - however with the global supply chain issues affecting us and our suppliers this is unfortunately not always possible. The delivery lead time was stated on the product page on our website when ordering - we also sent an email on receipt of your order to confirm the delivery lead time with you.
Of course, we were very sorry to see that the first items had some damage and we agreed to and arranged a free of charge swap for you as soon as possible. Our quality control team inspected the replacement table and bench before it was despatched to you and found no fault with it - only markings and undulations that are to be expected of reclaimed wood furniture.
However when the replacements arrived you felt there was damage to this set also.
Jo, the owner of Modish Living, has inspected all the images taken by our QC team and agrees that the features (markings, scratches, dents, nail holes etc.) are completely what is to be expected from wood, often over 100 years old, salvaged from old industrial buildings, barns, railway sleepers etc.
Reclaimed wood furniture will always come with a beautiful array of authentic, unique and individual markings - the amount and type of features will vary between each and every piece of furniture - we believe these qualities should be celebrated and appreciated and are why people choose to buy reclaimed wood furniture.
We do offer completely free delivery of furniture to most areas of mainland UK. As per our terms and conditions, we are more than happy to receive any unassembled items in their original packaging back within 14 days for a refund - however we do charge a return fee if our carriers come out to collect them, the fee to our customers is actually less than our carriers charge us. Furniture items can also be returned to our warehouse by the customer and there is also the option to arrange your own return transport.
