So went to buy Crovect from Mole Valley…
So went to buy Crovect from Mole Valley Farmers at Billingshurst, yes it’s a restricted product, the person that can authorise the sale only works until 14:30 but goes for lunch between 12:00 and 13:00. Was there before 12:00 no sign of anyone at the desk, by the time I got to speak to a staff member, she’d gone for lunch. Um great service!

Rude condescending female staff member
Female staff member, very rude, condescending, spoke down to me, refused to sell deosan , did not believe I live on a farm, I am sure if I was a white, middle class female farmer , her tone would have been different.

Mixed review on customer service at Mole Valley in Bridgwater.
One female whose name I unfortunately don’t know seems to refuse to serve me anytime I go to the till. She’s walked off at least twice without explanation or apology even when she’s just served and I went to her checkout including today.
Rude, unfriendly and makes the other team members pick up on her behalf.
The Yard team, including Sharon are exceptional and really hold up this store in regards to customer service.
They are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They make this store a 5 star on their own, sadly their colleague lets them all down.
Oh dear!
Ordered a galvanised trough and 3 bags of Jacks magic compost online. A widely advertised deal was on for the compost and no evidence of any terms or conditions on the offer. As I was ordering I was asked to join for a welcome discount (5%)
Being used to organisations treating customers fairly i assumed (clearly incorrectly) that I would enjoy the compost offer and the welcome £5 off the galvanised trough.
Oh no chance! The welcome offer apparently negated any other offer, so I paid £7.24 more for the compost than anyone else.
So when I went to collect the goods ( which I was left alone to load up - too kind of you) splattered everywhere was the offer
Oh how I laughed when I was told it’s all in the T&C!
Come on Mole Valley you are better than this
Great Gillingham
I regularly use the Gillingham, Dorset branch. The team are always fantastic. Helpful and attentive. The store is a bit of a lifeline for the farming area. Sad to see lots of negative comments for other branches, as it’s totally opposite for Gil.
Worst experience I’ve ever had and…
Worst experience I’ve ever had and would NEVER go again. Would highly recommend going anywhere else if need be.
I visited Mole Valley yesterday for…
I visited Mole Valley yesterday for some coal and was meet by a very rude and abusive gentleman who told me could I not read as there was a sign evidently outside. I am virtually blind so could not read the sign and my partner told me it was not even high enough to read as it was basically at ground level strung up between two cones. I asked for some coal as we were out and again was told I couldn't read as they were not selling the coal due to severe flooding. Even though the coal was stacked up outside and was not even in the flood zone. So rest assured I will never be setting foot again in Mole valley as being virtually blind and disabled I dont need to be treated like a piece of dirt he had trodden in. So all in all mole valley lost a good customer and about a thousand pound sale.
Excellent customer service - thank you Tina!
I had bought a pair of high end wellies online a year ago and they had stated to leak through a faulty seam - typically it was just outside the 1 year guarantee period! I emailed customer services on 17th Dec and they were swift to respond to my email and Tina went into bat with the manufacturer and persuaded them to replace them for me. She took time to call me to let me know she had arranged a delivery and they arrived today - just 2 days after my first email! Excellent service - thank you.
First and last time
First time I shopped with this company. I ordered shavings for horse stables online with discount code. The code worked but was unable to pay as something went wrong at payout. Went to the redhill store and was fobbed off by everyone including manager. Several excuses given but in the end manager said online and shop are different you don’t get discount. I wrote to their complaints , about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. First and last time at this disorganised excuse of a store.
Uncompetitive prices.
Mole valley is so uncompetitive on pricing these days for example water pipe fittings 20mm stop tap identical make and size eBay over £13.00 cheaper, ridiculous amount and it’s not the only thing. When I returned item staff member borderline rude. Bridgewater Branch, Will not be renewing my MV membership for 2026.
Not Happy
We traveled over 30 miles to look at (and hopefully buy) a pair of wellington boots that the Cullompton store showed as in stock in the two relevant sizes. The store did not have the boots in any size. Get your internet information right. Not happy
Stokesley branch useless for stock and staff!
Why is it that there is never any stock of the cat food I want. Its Felix so I generally like to get it when I get my horse feed, but it's never in stock.
And when will they employ a manger (Stokesley branch) that will do something about the short plump lass with glasses that makes a very good job of hiding and not wanting to deal with customers, even when you try and make eye contact while she is sat on her mobile in the office. Place is going downhill rapidly. No wonder Millbury is thriving in Stokseley at the minute, with the new expansion and better selections/stocks and staff!!
I might aswell close my account and bugger off to Milbury full time from now on.
I went into mole valley heath field…
I went into mole valley heath field branch on the 30th September at around 4.30.
I wanted some round posts.
There was a good selection to be fair, but they didn't have prices or measurements on them.
I didn't have a tape measure handy,so I went in and asked if they had one I can borrow, they didn't but they would send the guy out to help,I waited outside for five mins, and nobody arrived,so I went back in and asked for help.
The girl behind the desk( there were 3 girls in the shop, and a couple of customers as well as me.
I against asked about the wood and the girl handed me the size chart,I said that's why I asked you for a tape measure, she looked at me blankly.
I asked if I had done something wrong as they all just stared at me like I was inconveniencing them, then one of them said ok I'll find a tape measure and she came out to help me.
If the store was packed then I totally understand, but it wasn't there were more staff than customers.
So please can you advertise the size length and width of your wood outside(some has prices some does not) or please put a notice up saying please bring your own tape measure,in case we are busy,at least that way a customer won't inconvenience your staff.
I was made to feel uncomfortable and I don't think that's fair, considering I wanted to buy your product.
I'm sure the girls had more than there fair share of work to do behind the scenes,so if they are under pressure maybe you could staff the store a little more.
Overall I'm disappointed because moles generally a good store to visit.
Dreadful

Trying to order anything on the website…
Trying to order anything on the website is a complete joke, it constantly crashes, so frustrating.
Admittedly it was a Bank Holiday but…
Admittedly it was a Bank Holiday but farmers don't do Bank Holidays so getting to Frome Mole Valley and finding lots of the shelves were empty, queuing at the cash out when the cashier kicked off and started shouting at other members of staff, who were aimlessly wandering about the store, and waiting to be served at the veterinary desk wasn't an ideal experience. I have been a member of Mole Valley Farmers pretty much since it started. To say it has gone downhill would be a understatement. They should concentrate on selling agricultural goods not over priced ready meals and clothes.

We went to the Cirencester store and were severed by a nice young lady called Chloe, she delt with us quickly and efficiently and with a smile. We were soon on our home with no delays.
MoleCountry Stores Stokesley 29/7/2025…
MoleCountry Stores Stokesley 29/7/2025 experience.
Went to Mole this morning at just after 9am to get some details on the purchase of an electric fencer energiser. No staff on shop floor, waiting around, still no staff….popped my head into the office where a lady was sat. I asked her if she could assist me and she huffed a little. Came across as she really couldn’t be bothered. Called one of the other staff to assist, the other member knew absolutely nothing about electric fencing and insisted I needed a battery not the energiser, which I didn’t!
I ended up taking the staff member to the area where these items were sold and seeing there was no pricing whatsoever on the shelves or any of the items on these two bays I asked for details. Neither scanner that he used would register the price….ended up taking two units to the till to see if he could locate a price which eventually he did. He showed me the photo on the till that accompanied the fencer unit and it was a picture of a ladies jumper instead of the unit.
Seeing this store is aimed to provide sales and help to farmers and country folk I was surprised that no one knew what I wanted, despite having the old broken item with me. I said to the staff member, ok I wanted to support local but looks like I will just order a unit off Amazon. And that was my experience. Rubbish. Lack of knowledge on the products they supply, no interest, sounded bored! Not a happy customer to say the least. I don’t usually write reviews however felt the need today. Staff need training not only in the items in the shop floor but also smiling!
Disappointment!
Sadly can not wright anything good, veey disappointed with the cirencester branch.
Ask the staff a question and they look at you blankly, no smile or willingness just clueless.
Then i was left waiting for over 20 mins before I ended up walking out without the item i needed a wormerwormer. All the SQPs were in a staff meeting (corner of the store) they were told twice by staff someone was waiting for a wormer. All we could see was them laughing, talking and not even concerned about their customers. Will never shop there again.

To me this company is on its way out no stock in there stores gone there 3 time now with no stock I only by the basics chicken growers pellets there own brand and rabbit royal again basic I went to go and order online they wanted to charge me £135 for delivery
