To manage customer expectations: it remains unclear whether MoneyGram has the required credibility and standing to deal with failed payments to international banks.
Having requested a trace on an undelivered payment in April 2026, Moneygram just repeated their mantra that the payment was delivered.
When asked again if they could provide evidence from the destination bank, moneygram pushed back the first time saying they could do nothing further.
At the 2nd request, I requested cancellation and a refund as the intended recipient claims no delivery. Moneygram is now attempting action but says it will take 10 days.
I have therefore asked moneygram again whether evidence can be obtained from the destination bank, or to confirm whether MoneyGram simply does not have the credibility and standing with international banks to be able to obtain a refund or information.
Moneygram live chat asked me to stay on line but then logged me out. I then received a phone call claiming to be from moneygram but it cut off before I could answer:

Money never received
I am very disappointed with my experience with MoneyGram. I made a €5,500 transfer on July 1st, which was cancelled on July 7th. After complaining, the MoneyGram agent told me I would receive my money within 10 days. I still haven't received anything! My project has been disrupted by this hold, which has put me in a very difficult situation. I am tired of chatting with your AI bot and sending you emails to no avail. Reference number: 308707100
