Very Frustrated

Very Frustrated. Monzo closed a business bank account and will not send me statements for last two weeks to trading so I can check accuracy. Keep sending me round the same loop getting me to complete the same paperwork over and over and now telling me I have to do it a third time.

Really easy to use

Really easy to use. Easy to manage money and budget. good fixed saver rate. Credit insights are really helpful as well. Would love for there to be more investment options in the future, the ability to buy my own shares along side ETF’s.

1 Star – Unacceptable and Distressing Experience
Monzo abruptly closed my accounts in February 2025 and, months later, I am still waiting for any meaningful update or explanation. No clear reason, no proper communication, no accountability.
Since the closure, I’ve been left completely in the dark. Customer support responses are vague, templated, and ultimately useless. Each time I reach out, I’m told nothing new and given no timeline. Being locked out of your own money and financial services with zero transparency is incredibly stressful and unfair.
A bank should not be allowed to freeze or close accounts and then ghost customers for months. If there was an issue, it should be clearly explained. If there was an investigation, there should be regular updates. Instead, Monzo has shown a complete lack of respect, urgency, or basic customer care.
This experience has destroyed my trust in Monzo. I would strongly warn anyone to think twice before relying on them as a main bank. When things go wrong, you are on your own.
Completely unacceptable.

Refused to pay refund for a FB scam

I was scammed by a Facebook Marketplace scammer who used a Monzo bank account, but the bank refused to pay me £55 refund because they said there is no money in the fraudster's bank account and that Monzo bank can't afford to pay me that £55 refund. That looks like that money is little for me but makes a furtune for the bank to pay just to save their good reputation

Having the need to actually speak to a…

Having the need to actually speak to a real person I called the customer services line, to ask why I had been charged a £1.50 fee for a £200 ATM withdrawal. After the best part of 10 mins holding on I finally get to speak to a real person where I advised what my issue was - well with the greatest respect it was like I was talking to a man on the moon with the person having no real understanding of what the issue was and how to effectively deal with the problem. Clearly, anything of script they just do not know how to respond. Well. after this experience I'm afraid Monzo have just lost a customer.
